Very nice staff, especially the staff on the donor floor. Even when busy they're friendly and kind.

The staff is absolutely rude. The manager is drunk with power and believes its ok to violate people's personal space even after being told multiple times that they are making you feel uncomfortable. It is also the lowest paying donation center in the entire city even their other locations pay more than this one. I would highly discourage anyone from going there. If you need the cash go to octoplasma. The pay and staff are much better. ​ read more

This is by far the worst CSL center I have ever been to. They have five technicians on the floor, yet a line of 12 donors (myself included) have been waiting for nearly 45 minutes with no movement to the line. They have nobody specifically working on hooking donors up to the machines, and the staff clearly has no work ethic and doesn't care about the work they do. Avoid at ALL costs, unless you want to spend half a day there. read more

This place sucks honestly. If you're really going through some tough times and need a few bucks badly, then go for it but if it's not too serious you're better off finding another way. There's at least 10 people there off the opening, only a few techs and you'll be standing potentially for hours waiting your turn. read more

I generally go to the Thruway plaza location, but have occasionally tried this one, and there has been an issue every single time I've tried to go. Their technicians as well as their higher level staff have on multiple occasions given me incorrect information, going so far as to tell me that I can't donate, for me to leave, donate at another CSL location in the area THAT SAME DAY with no issue. This particular location is poorly trained across the board, and I would suggest going to any of the other locations nearby, or a different plasma donation place altogether. They are definitively the worst plasma donation place in the area. read more

I went on a Friday morning to register as a new donor. None of the stuff you do online in advance is communicated to them (by their own admission), it took four reboots of the computer to start taking my information, and then they sent me home for documents to verify my address even though: a) my current address in Buffalo is on my driver's license; and b) I could simply have shown them a utility bill on my phone. They did this because...wait for it...they have another address in a different state on file for me from 26 years ago when I was in college. So 45 minutes down the drain to be told that I'd have to come back and basically start again. If this is how your processing works, I'm certainly not giving you access to my veins. I got to this place because it's the closest . not anymore they wasn't even open today but. it clearly states that " they are " . it's always understaffed , some of them fish hook your arm while poking you , people pass out all the time . and they deliberatley dip off knowing people are finished . I have been donating for four years, and have never been deferred. After seeing, personnel changes over and over. Building relationships with so many people, even though it takes all types of people to make the world go around. As many people complain, however ppl complain about everything. If you didn't want to go donate just don't go,vis what I would say to may ppl. I've built many relationships with so many there, and will miss them. However, after the donation today,the poker as we call them walked away for not even two minutes, and the equipment for the new (REVISED) machines made my blood leak out. The Lead Poker autism said you going to be deferred. This particular location is not what you know but who you know. I've seen this over and over, and could never say anything. I'm not complaining about the situation called regulations. But if a poker walks away for (2) TWO MINUTES, and the equipment malfunctions. How many red blood cells has a person lossed. I was just just mentioning this to a donor earlier that day, and I truly believe, my comments was repeated. I'm not knocking the so called procedures, but I've seen it at the Elmwood location too many times, if you ain't drinking they juice you are Out of luck. I've been through many personnel changes, procedure changes, no saline, removing bonuses, all of it. I wish them all well, but they never know who knows who, and I have followed up on a complaint to the government to have them checked out. It's already DONE... is this fair? I have been a csl client since 2020. Yesterday 7/10/2024 I had a very unfortunate incident {not the first time) which left me discouraged and livid...I went to the Elmwood Avenue location only to find the facility doors locked due to no nurse on staff...I traveled by 2 buses in a thunderstorm to get there...the doors were locked and we were told the facility didn't have a nurse and wouldn't open until 9:30 a.m. Against my better judgment I decided to wait in line for the doors to open. At approximately 9:10 a.m. the doors opened and we proceeded into the building. I was having my vitals taken and it was determined I had to have my yearly physical with the nurse before I could donate. At that point it was announced that there would be no physicals given due to no nurse on staff!!! I was very upset and asked if I could be compensated for the inconvenience of my time and travel. I was told no! Is that good customer service to penalize me for there lack of management? I asked to see a supervisor and I was told they were in a meeting...I left and had to take 2 more buses to travel all the way to Lackawanna CSL to donate. Do you really feel that this was fair to me? Is this anyway to run a business? It's a poor principle of good faith...I have donated over 200 times and helped over 400 people and this is how I am treated just doesn't seem right...I worked over 25 years in customer service and I always honored the clients to the best of my ability...Shouldn't you do the same at CSL Plasma? and how did you open your doors and allow donors to start donating without a nurse on staff? Be prepared to stand for potentially hours. It can be worth it if you are really hard up for a few bucks .

Place is clean and some staff are very friendly. It seems the regulars who I see all the time are always kind but I've had a few bad experiences with employees at this location before. I took away 3 stars for how CSL as a company runs their sites not because of anything the employees did. They are constantly understaffed which leads to long wait times and many times I've shown up only to find the doors closed because they didn't have enough staff to do any donations that day. I also learned that the people who stick you make wages less than mcdonalds and you can tell they are disgruntled. Makes for a poor and uncomfortable atmosphere. read more

Made $400 my first month here. At first I was skeptical about donating, but it's such a clean place and the staff makes you feel comfortable. It's nice making money and knowing your helping people. Crystal and Kristen are so welcoming and I like the manager, he's always friendly when I walk in. read more

I had my doubts about going into this place just from the fact from me poking my head in a couple times to scope out the situation so I was hesitant but today I needed a couple extra bucks so I decided to give you a shot and everything went great the friendly people they make sure you understand what you're doing and they give you a thorough exam to make sure you are able to do so so if you have high blood pressure or any open cuts on your skin they will not accept you the whole beginning to end process for the first time took about 2 hours it was slightly busy but like I said everyone there was friendly there's a one girl she is so pretty I just couldn't stop looking at her you see her when you first come in she's the one that talks to you I forgot her name right sure she caught me staring at her a couple times long dark hair dark eyes awesome smile how can you not? Anyways they give you a prepaid Visa card upon leaving successfully activated and ready to go you can go up to I believe it 6 times a month? Easy $300 Don't Be Afraid save lives read more

Not enough staff!! There is constantly only ever two people completing the vitals check point and they move beyond slow. They don't seem to care that people don't have all day to perform a simple task. I actually timed it a few times on multiple days and it's always over 10minutes per person. That would be cool if I thought they were doing it for our safety and care but they simply take temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and check blood for routine numbers. This whole process is something I've done multiple times and faster. It's a shame that people don't take pride in their jobs anymore. read more

I thought this was plasma TVs but it turns out I can stop in here, donate my plasma and save some lives while making some extra money for myself! Staff is awesome...and easy to get to know as you can donate 2x a week. They are there tuesday to saturday with early morning and after work hours. Give them a call and get the information you need to bring with you so that you can start making some extra money and also help other people that need plasma medications. I had to go back a few times to be sure i had all the correct papers but it was worth it to start being able to donate and now a bunch of my friends come with me too. I find it unprofessional of the staff at CSL plasma to lock the doors early and unprofessional of them to not acknowledge someone who is trying to receive answers to there question. I showed up to plasma around 1:50pm with the knowledge of it being closed at 8pm via google. Upon my arrival I tried to open the doors but all staff did was look at me confused when I tried to usher one of them over to see what was happening I was promptly ignored and when I proceeded to call no one answered the phone when staff was available. Then I come onto yelp to write a report to see that the plasma facility closed doors @2:30 pm disappointed. read more
