To be honest, the only reason we went elsewhere was because we needed a good bit of painting done at the same time and was able to combine into one contractor. Luis was EXCEPTIONALLY responsive, and quick to offer to come out and take a look at the project. He explained everything and was quick to return a quote that was very fair and comparable to others received for the job. He was very easy to get in contact with and returned messages within an hour. He was friendly, kind, personable, and even made it a point to spend time with our pets before he left. Basically -- while I can't speak to the actual skill (although other reviews were happy with LBS's work), service and responsiveness was an A+, which for me matters a ton when hiring a contractor for work on my house.

I hired Elio Hawkins from Be Right There Home Repair to fix the flooring on my 2nd floor laundry…read moreroom and the ceiling on my 1st floor after some water had seeped through and I had another company dry it out. While the ceiling job was relatively straightforward, the laundry room had very little space to maneuver somewhat large sized washer/dryer on pedestals back into place. He was able to do that with a lot of patience and skill without breaking the new and expensive washer pan he installed on the floor. Elio came at short notice, showed up a few minutes before the time he said each day, worked to my schedule and completed the work to my satisfaction. He was very professional throughout the duration, answered all my questions very patiently and brought in additional help when he needed to. I will hire him again any day.

They painted, installed floating floors, & new lighting throughout the house, just to name a few things. Mike and the team brought a dated South Philly row home to a sleek, modern look which raised the property value immensely. I highly recommend this company for anything you need done around your home. My mother cried with joy once the project was completed. They went through two contractors and it was a total nightmare for them before Handyman Services got involved. Thank you guys for making my parents so happy!!

We usually reserve this kind of work for people we know or recommended by people we trust. So, I was a little skeptical about how it would turn out. Michael definitely delivered. He showed up the next day to give a quote, sent me a quote a couple of days later, and then started the job two weeks from my initial inquiry. So the first part of this review is that he showed up in a timely manner, which was something 4 other people failed to do. He worked on our basement drywall after we had a flood. He replaced the bottom half of what was cut out, put in trim, and painted. He also built us a wall split up the giant space. It all turned out really well and I couldn't be more happy with it. My only complaint, but not enough to lower my stars, was that due to our basement set up, all the spackling sanding ended up on our first floor (there's no door down to the basement). It was everywhere. If you'll have this same issue, I'd recommend putting up some sort of plastic barrier. If you need drywall repair, give Michael a call! He also accepts Venmo, which was a plus for us.

They did a fantastic job at a price that will beat any competitor! I highly recommend Mike and John for any job that requires a competent, experienced contractor!
