After we…read morehad 8 trees taken down, we had lots of stumps to grind, some with root systems over 25 feet spreading throughout the front yard. Brad returned my call within a few hours and set an appointment to bid the job. Fortunately for us, he had time that very day to do the job. His bid was incredibly reasonable, and he also included some extra stumps that had been left some years ago. Because his response was so quick, there were several areas where they had to work around the logs left behind and in the way. That seemed to be no problem. They started immediately and worked the job so that I had time to make pathways to all the stumps. There were some tricky situations that took extra care (shallow water pipe from the well), but they took great care and made certain to not go too deep on that one! Being nearly 70 years old, I could not quickly move the rounds away from a mammoth poplar, some with a diameter of over 46", but Walt was able to expertly maneuver their machine around obstacles and got that giant stump ground down. After moving the huge rounds a few weeks later, we found parts of the stump and some large roots that had been buried by the logs and were unreachable. One of the impressive things they said was that if they missed anything, we could call and they would come and get it taken care of, as they guarantee their work. When I called, they responded immediately and were happy to return. They came and ground the rest of the poplar stump and some roots within in 3 days of my phone call. These guys rock and have great service and take pride in their work. Brad will be the one I call if I need more tree services!

I've gotten 3 different estimates and Angeles Landscaping was definitely a fair estimate when compared to the others. We had one give us an estimate of $3,200, one said $1,500, and Angeles asked for $1,800 so we were happy to pay that amount given the faith we had in his work. When Daniel came over, he asked the right questions and thought of things I didn't think about. He asked how far we wanted the mulch to go for the edges, what we wanted trimmed, how high we wanted to mulch to be (we went with 2.5 inches), and he made sure to let us know he wasn't just going to cover things in mulch, but he was going to remove the moss, weeds, and everything before to do it correctly. We got the estimate on Thursday and Daniel and his team (2 other people) were able to come by on Saturday morning. They started at 8am and were finished around 3pm (so around 8 hours of work). When he was finished he even hung around patiently, asked if I had any questions, and was surprised I didn't have any. I was very confident when meeting him that he would do a good job. I didn't feel like I had to micromanage him to do a good job, and I was correct in thinking that. Overall, I definitely recommend Angeles Landscaping for landscaping needs. I never removed a tree before, and the city permit application needs some docs like site plan which I am not familiar. They helped me a lot during the whole process, made files I needed for the permit and finally got the permit approved (thanks god the city didn't ask for the arborist report).
