We paid over $1,000 for unneeded prescriptions due to the relationship between Rockwood and Omnicare. Neither would take responsibility.

New owner switched up management, hired a new facility manager and what a difference. I was was kept informed, everyone felt more personable, more relaxed. They go above and beyond, I mean way beyond. That staff is exceptional, actually not staff but family. Today is Monday, my Mom passed Friday night 8-1-25, she was 98 and 7months, still a smarty pants. Caregivers and Hospice employees came in on their days off to hug her with tears. We were so relieved we didn't have to find out. All her needs would be met! We were very honest and upfront about mom's condition. We said sure let's do it! Mom can stay in her own apartment that she knows. GREAT! We were so happy and ________ made us feel like this was the right decision. We were told the extra cost and felt it was justified because getting her bathed is a chore and we are not caregivers & really didn't know how to bathe an elderly Alzheimer's mom. Mind you she was only 98 pounds but she was feisty and would speak her mind and fly the bird at you sometimes. In less than 48 hours she was comatose. She wasn't walking, we don't know if it was by choice or she forgot how. This went on till we secured her a spot at Fairwoods; they specialize in Alzheimer's/Dementia care. By the time the "NEW" home came to evaluate her she had lost a considerable amount of weight. We had to get her out of there. She either clashed with _______ or just was stubborn and shut down. Update now... has appetite is back, she gained weight, is actually getting herself down to the recreation room to socialize. We don't know if she thinks she's out on the town or what! But a very happy mom now!

The first employee refused to change Dad's catheter bag, would not actually give the medication to Dad but only reminded our stepmom of his need for medicine and directed her to give it to him in applesauce. When his oxygen tube slipped out of his nose, it was brought to my stepmom's attention rather than the employee putting the tube back into his nostrils. Dad has some bed sores on his rear end, but would the employee massage some cream on the wounds....no...my sister had to do it. Family was told that if Dad fell, 911 would be called and they would not help him up. If you want to waste money, then call Comfort Keepers. We suspended service after two days.
