After utilizing the "service" of this bank, for a number of years, two days ago I was notified by…read morethem by mail that my account had been terminated due to security issues. Well, since I have never had any issues with their service I pursued them for an answer as to WHY? The answer..."your ongoing conversations about carrying a gun have caused us to terminate your service". WHAT? What "ongoing conversations"? Well I did figure this out...these MORONS have a sign on their door that says no weapons showing a picture of a firearm and a knife. And I have asked the tellers on a few occasions the following question. "Do you people seriously think that a BANK ROBBER would pay any attention to that sign?" And even though I never have carried a firearm in violation of their signs policy, I HAVE HAD MY ACCOUNT TERMINATED!!! I suggest the following...LET THEM TERMINATE your ACCOUNT. Simply do this...when you go in the lobby, be sure to ask a teller "Do you people seriously think that a BANK ROBBER would pay any attention to that sign?" I was told I had to come in to get the check cashed. I was then asked to give them my date of birth, last 4 of my ssn, thumb print, drivers license number, and my phone number. On a check written to ME, not written by me. SSN is NEVER supposed to be used as a form of ID per Our former president FDR. This bank is not authorized to have my personal information, as I don't, nor will I ever bank with them. I was told if I stole the check or if someone else stole the check and wrote it to me, it will come back on me. Isn't there insurance a bank has for this. Isn't this also why we choose to use a bank to protect our investment. I do question legality here.

Arvest Banks is changing all their checking accounts so they can charge you more monthly fees…read more There will no longer be a free checking account option. You should run away from this bank as fast as possible. Charging fees to use your money is terrible. They think they can just get away with this since it is such a hassle to change banks. Heavy fees just to make your stock holders happy is a terrible business model.

I had fraudulent charges on my Wells Fargo credit card account…read more I needed to reset my verbal credit card password. This is not my account password or my pin for the credit card. My bank said to go to any bank and have them call the wells Fargo number, Wells Fargo would call them back after verifying the phone number was a bank. They would ask to confirm my driver's license and credit card verbally. Equity Bank personal banker Cheryl said I needed an account to be helped. I asked if one of her clients was in California having the same problem how could they be helped. Refused to even call my bank because I did not have an account. I said ok please open a cash account for me. Told my account would not be active for two days if I opened an account. Come back in two days. no same day banking here if you want to open an account.., repeat ...no same day banking if you open an account here!!!! Rude Equity Banker Cheryl no help without an account. One hour wasted.Never use unfriendly unhelpful Equity Bank. Went down the street to Arvest, they called my bank no problem! Fraud department called Arvest back asked a couple verbal questions. Then reset my verbal password. Arvest took care of me in less than fifteen minutes. Need a Bank Use Arvest Never ever use Rude unhelpful Equity bank.
