Absolutely horrible. I opened an account with them in 2012 (then called Bank of the Ozarks). This has never been a great bank. I was dissatisfied from the beginning, but I just tried to shrug it off. Recently I decided to create a will and name a different beneficiary. Sounds simple enough, right? WRONG ! I couldn't just get docs to fill out and send back, noooo, I had to go into an office. The person helping me was slow and just seemed incompetent. Said something about some beneficiaries aren't allowed. Completed the process. It took a long time and she kept leaving the office because she had to take care of something else. I held my tongue instead of telling her she needed to take care of what we are working on now. So, about 1.5 hours later, yes this took entirely too long, I walked out angry but thought at least it's done. That was a Friday afternoon. On the following Monday, my phone rings repeatedly. 7 times in a row I refused the call because I was working. These were back to back calls. I call them back angry with this nonsense and am told they don't allow charitable organizations as beneficiaries. I had to come into the bank again to fix their mistake. I told them to send me the paperwork. No I had to come into the bank. I told the representative that I would start the process of moving all my funds out of the bank to a different company. From that date for 2 weeks I got calls every single day. I finally got fed up and called her telling her to stop calling me. Then she says that I have 30 days to complete the "correction" on the account. That would have been starting date 2/28/2025 I told her I'll get around to it when I have the time. On March 24, 2025 I get an email from the bank indicating my account is suspended. So what happened to 30 days? On March 25 I go to a different branch of the bank to get things "fixed". I'm told that my account was closed on March 21. Really? So the bank personnel provide incorrect information and do whatever they feel like doing with your account. I needed the account to stay open through the middle of April because my direct deposit for Social Security change wouldn't take effect until my check in May 2025. BANK OZK IS UNTRUSTWORTHY. Please don't do business with this bank. read more
