Claribel V.

I was in the Huntington Beach area and was looking for a dessert spot on Too Good to Go when I stumbled across a deal at Crzookie for three cookies for $4.99 plus tax. I had never been here before and thought it was worth a try. I purchased the deal and picked it up right away. They're actually an ice cream shop that specializes in ice cream cookies. I was given a sugar cookie, a macadamia nut cookie, and a lemon blueberry cookie. The cookies were served warm, so I had really high expectations and thought they would taste like they were made from scratch. Unfortunately, I don't think they were based on the taste and texture. They reminded me of store bought cookies, similar to Costco's. They also fell apart as I picked them up. They were a little too rich and sweet for me. Even as someone with a sweet tooth, I don't think I'd pair these cookies with ice cream because they're already very sweet. If you enjoy rich, soft, gooey cookies, you might like these. I personally prefer my cookies to be a little chewier. The customer service, though, was excellent.

Definitely my favorite local cookie shop! Very cute little bakery that has cookies and ice cream. My go-to for a sweet treat since their cookies are so warm and big! I love talking to staff as they as so sweet.

The white chocolate cookie was really good. The ice cream was awesome. It taste like churro/cinnamon roll. It had something crunchy in it I don't know if it was ice chips or something. I still love it. Service was good. I am not a fan of employees sitting on the counter near the register eating their lunch or meal or whatever. Tacky! It was nice and quiet inside. Chill vibes. I'll be back . Thank you

Seen this spot on IG and just had to try them out! Plenty of cookie and ice cream flavors to choose from which was great, none of the flavors slacked. Cookies were CHEWY, soft but crispy edges! I can definitely say I would even be back just for the macadamia nut cookie! Overall, service was amazing as staff informed us on their most popular, oh and they even offer tasters!

The ice cream and cookies are amazing. The flavors are excellent. I had a cookie ice cream combo, salted caramel cookie and sea salt caramel ice cream.

We got Gluten free cookie with mint chip cream and Reese's peanut butter cookie with a scoop of vanilla and chocolate peanut butter. The workers were friendly and fast. Everything was good :)

Matt the owner is amazing! He let us try as many flavors as we wanted. The cookie is warm, and the ice cream flavors are all good. I like that they have nondairy options for lactose challenged folks. Def will be coming back! (Please open a location in redondo)

Well I pass by this place once a month and was curious about it because of the name. I decided to finally look it up and actually go. The cookies were all fantastic. And the freshness lasted for a couple of days. They also had oatmilk based ice cream that was amazing. The service was great too. The only thing I was disappointed about is that we drove over 10 miles for the lemon blueberry cookie and it was the ONLY one not available. They said we could wait 20-30 minutes if we wanted one, but that wasn't really an option. I will go back again, though and hope they have the lemon cookie available ...... I will also ask how to pronounce the stores name :)

Customer service was great! Was greeted as soon as I walked in and I mentioned it was my first time. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. Walked out with a box of 6 cookies for $22! Cookies & Cream and Smores were my favorite. Gotta come back and try the ice cream!

My Lovely was Stop by grabbed some of cookies in here. I'm not a fan of the cookie but I would like to tryout small piece. First bite of macadamia cookie so good, he bought 6 of different, I cut small piece all of 6 and every one was good . Who the one love cookie , should be come to try their cookie.

Box of 6: Should be kept in 2 separate boxes or one larger box for nicer presentation
Nina L.

I arrived at opening time (11 AM) to pick up a box of cookies as a gift for a friend's birthday lunch. The shop was initially locked and opened late with only one girl running it. When I went into the store, she said the shop was behind and the cookies would take 15 minutes to bake, which was reasonable. I placed my order for a box of 6 and ended up waiting 40-45 minutes. I would understand if there was a line or cookies were selling out, but no one else was in the shop. It was highly unprofessional for the store to not only open late and be unprepared, but also to provide an inaccurate wait time with no compensation. As a new business, there should be more than one employee or at least a manager to ensure smooth operations. The store should also not open until the cookies are ready to serve. If I had known I would have to wait over 40 minutes, I would have left. The employee also mentioned there was an online order form, but we could not find anything on the website. The cookies are also expensive at $5 each and nothing remarkable. Milk & Cookies (various locations in OC) offers the same for more reasonable prices for their more simple flavors like chocolate chip. ***ALSO: its suspicious and painfully obvious that there were 5 star reviews written right after my comment by inactive accounts, with nothing specific about what they ordered. Seems like a desperate attempt from workers/their friends to get the overall rating back up, instead of being professional and responding directly to my review. There were 3 reviews before mine, and now there are 15 in a span of 3 hours.***

Salted Caramel cookie w. C&C as SC Ice Creams (can ask for 2 flavors vs. 1!
John S.

I tried the newly opened and much delayed Czrookie in Huntington Beach and yep, the hype is real. I got the salted caramel cookie with salted caramel and cookies & cream ice cream--because clearly, I have a theme. The cookie was crispy on the edges (just how I like it) and soft in the middle--basically living its best cookie life. The ice cream was super sweet but in a "treat yourself, don't cheat yourself" kind of way. It was about $11 for a cookie with two scoops, which felt fair for the sugar-induced joy I experienced. Definitely a dessert you share... or don't. I didn't. Will 100% be back. Might even pretend to try a different combo next time. More... P.S. - shout out for fellow Elite Nina, as it was sus about the initial low to no volume reviewers, however I truly enjoyed mine and supply and service were good on Saturday at noon.

Honestly, I was too busy eating to verify the name. I ordered a double scoop on a chocolate-dipped cone covered in peanuts. Then, in a stunning display of self-restraint, I ordered another double scoop on a chocolate-dipped cone covered in peanuts. Each one was $12, which sounds expensive until you're standing there holding what is essentially a frozen monument to poor decision-making and happiness. The ice cream was good. Not "I saw God in a waffle cone" good, but genuinely good. Straightforward, tasty, and exactly what I wanted after wandering around Huntington Beach pretending calories don't apply near the ocean. Service was great--friendly, fast, and completely supportive of my quest to consume enough ice cream to alarm a cardiologist. Overall: Good. Would I go back? Absolutely. They must use really good ingredients for their ice cream, doesn't feel like a lot of processed stuff. The ice cream was melting as expected and I didn't feel terrible after eating one by myself. It was just refreshing and joyful. They are located on the southern most side of Pacific City. It's rather tucked away. Once you reach the end of the plaza, go in the building and they are immediately to your left. Staff are friendly. Place is clean. They have a lot of flavors, but sadly you need to buy it to try it. I was disappointed, of course, because some flavors seemed really interesting, but I don't dare try something different if in case I end up not liking enough to regret it. There was another ice cream place up north that had the same policy, but they are so confident about the flavors and quality that they will replace your order completely should you not like it. I don't think this place has that kind of policy, which would discourage me from choosing this place compared to their chain competitor just a block away. Maybe there could be a compromise like, try up to 3 flavors only. That way, I can try three new unique flavors but if I really didn't like them I could still have a great experience with a tried and true favorite. Hope the owner seriously considers this because I think they are great and I want them to thrive! Another great thing about this place is that It isn't a big chain and mass produced. It feels personal and feels very special. I admire people who have such a passion for the craft that they invest in it with time and money, so let's support! Especially when the ice cream is this good.

I saw the line out the door and thought it must be good especially since they have other locations in Southern California. I tried their 4 scoop sampler with the non dairy coffee ice cream, butter pecan, mocha almond fudge and strawberry cheesecake. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the mocha almond fudge was good, creamy, chocolatey with a smooth consistency. The staff were super friendly and the place was clean, like spotless. That's where the positives end. The non dairy coffee scoop tasted like the just froze some old coffee, it was bitter and I spit it out. The strawberry cheesecake had weird squares of what I assume was supposed to be cheesecake but tasted more like a gummy with artificial flavoring, those two scoops were thrown out. The butter pecan I finished but it was too sweet, something I'd never thought I'd say, and it melted almost immediately in the 80+ degree heat into sugar water with a piece of pecan in it. As mentioned before the mocha almond fudge was pretty good, perhaps people get that flavor and that's why the line was out the door. I saw some people get shakes so maybe those are better, but I won't be coming back to give it a shot. Cold stone, Mr. Softee, Rori's, McDonald's, Dairy Queen, etc etc all offer better ice cream options. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

I ended up getting off early so I called and asked if it would be available for 5PM. The associate told me "No it won't be ready, it would be ready closer to 6:30." We then agreed that I could stop by closer to their closing time (9pm) since I don't live in the area. I could drive home then come back to pick it up. I arrived at 8:15PM, the associate tells me when I arrive "I'm so sorry it's not ready, I thought you'd be here closer to 8:45PM." I say "No worries I'll come back at 8:45PM." I come back to pick up the cake. It comes out hot and newly decorated with icing. 10 minutes down the road I check the cake, and the icing is completely melted. By then it's 9pm and I can't turn around to go back to the store. The next morning around 11am I called the store to speak with the manager. I leave my contact info, and I receive a call within 20 minutes from the store manager, Dustin. I explain the situation and how the cake is not presentable anymore for the birthday event I ordered it for. He apologizes and offers a dozen cookies or a refund. Since there's no time for me to drive back to Huntington Beach for a party that is in Pasadena within the next hour, we opt for the refund and Dustin states, "This is my personal number, I'll shoot you a text when that refund goes through." A week later, no refund, no communication, no follow-up. I called Dustin one more time, left a voicemail and one additional text just incase. Over the course of several days, still no response. Suffice to say, it is what it is. I just wanted a refund for the cake that I bought which I ended up not even bringing to the event I got it for because of the melted icing.
