I just moved to upstate NY and was looking for a place close to my apartment to get my feet handled. After moving cross county they were in bad shape. Came in at 10:30 Saturday morning and waited about 15 minutes which was fine. Everyone was nice, the location was very clean, but there was a smell of chemicals? My guess is it's just the cleaning products. But the place was CLEAN! I always look for that and it's a big bonus. Like the other reviews said, they do use a "cheese grater" type contraption to remove the calluses, which was fine with me bc I have one exactly like it (but it's in a box somewhere traveling across the country). I asked the lady to be gentle because I have VERY sensitive feet. She spent nearly 20 minutes making sure my feet were baby butt soft!! I didn't catch her name but she did amazing. I should have taken a "before" photo of my heels...seriously, she was that good. Price was ehh...$30 for a fairly basic pedicure but she didn't charge me more for the extra extra time she spent on my heels, so it evens out. One semi-downfall, they didn't use a brush/polish remover to clean up the polish on my skin, she just used her nail. But overall, if that's all I can ding them for, it's not a bad place to go at all. I started going here when they opened up and the owner and staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Unfortunately, I think they are having a hard time managing their growth. They desperately need more nail technicians for even though their window says "walk-ins welcome" it is impossible to get a walk-in appointment. To avoid hassles I just make an appointment. Even with an appointment, I usually wait, and once I am seated, the nail tech will inevitably hop up to start service on another customer. That doesn't sit well at all with me. Start with me, finish with me move on. This just tells me that they are doing very well, but why aren't they hiring help? I'll continue going because I truly like their services and pricing, but I'm busy, like most people and can't afford to wait around. read more

Certainly not the worst pedicure I've ever had, but I'll think twice before coming back. They used a cheese grater on my feet, which was very disconcerting. I have since heard it's illegal. In any case, I came home and still had fairly rough heels. The music was *not* relaxing, at all (Creedence Clearwater Revival and Alabama - I'm not a fan). There was a weird smell and it was kind of hot back there, but they eventually turned on the air conditioning, which helped. There are two large TVs which play weird "candid camera" type videos on a loop -- very strange and not relaxing. All four people took turns taking care of my feet - again, very unusual. They cut my toe nails very short - much shorter than any other place has ever cut them before. Some items they used on me appeared to be new, or single use. Others, appeared to be used on everyone (like the nail brushes) and it wasn't obvious that they get anything more than a quick rinse in the foot sinks before being put back in the trays to use on the next customer. Couldn't even get service... Walked in , Sunday afternoon... There were three people working, took over 3 minutes for the older man to acknowledge me. There was no one in the waiting area that was getting service, just one girl who was waiting for her friend that actually gave me the next place to go to as she also wasn't happy with the service there. Older man Asked why I was there, I answered pedicure. He came over to the reception area and started looking at the appointment book. He stated that there was another appointment booked for the exact time I was standing there. He said I could wait 15 minutes to see if they showed up, or schedule my own appointment. So I asked how long it would be of a wait, if the other appointment showed up and he said over an hour. So my options were, wait to see if other appointment shows up and then wait another hour more. Or wait 15 minutes to see if they came and then have to reschedule. He wasn't much more helpful after that., He went back to his appointment. After waiting 10 minutes, the appointment finally showed and he didn't even bother to come see what I was going to do. I left without any acknowledgement from any staff there. read more

I made an appointment on line for a nail service. The system confirmed my appointment. I went to the appointment at the appointed time but, oh dear, they did not have me down for an appointment. When the young lady opened the iPad, low and behold my appointment appeared........but no......she had made another appointment for the same time so could I come back in an hour and a half? Not! I have been to Crystal Nails Spa before to get pedicures and always thought the service and cleanliness of the salon was great. However, I just went to get a pedicure and manicure and the experience was subpar. When getting a pedicure my friend and I noticed toenail clippings all around. That is what made me feel grossed out and nothing was done to clean them up. The technician who was nice ignored our comments about clippings. Then when I was getting my manicure she clipped my nails too short. As I type this one bothers me at how short it is- almost painful. She failed to listen to me. I won't be going back nor recommending it to anyone. I understand it's a nail salon but there were staff waiting around and in back who could have been cleaning the place up. read more

I have been getting my nails done for 20+ years in the Saratoga/Clifton Park area and this is by far is my favorite spot. The technicians are accommodating, friendly, and have a great sense of humor. My hands and toes have never looked so great and I have been going there for almost 2 years and have not been disappointed yet! But heads up ALWAYS MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. They are usually always booked up a week in advance so you rarely can just walk in for service. read more

I would not recommend this place. I chose the deluxe pedicure and regular manicure. The deluxe included callous removal foot scrub and a couple of other things. At almost any other nail salon they wrap your feet in plastic with some sort of lotion and then remove the calluses, but at this place they took a CHEESE GRATER and scrubbed my feet. Just like another reviewer said the tv choices were odd, music isn't relaxing, even with appointments you have to wait. It's NOT worth the wait. For 42 dollars plus tip I did not get the mani pedi I paid for. Also when having a basic manicure done I was cut 4 times by the woman. Eventually I asked her to please stop trimming my cuticles. She also asked me if I was married during small talk... kind of an invasive question when she knows nothing about me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Save your money! read more

Do not go to this nail saloon. My wife and I had appointments. We sat and waited and waited. We finally left. They obviously took walk-ins before we arrived knowing full well we had appointments. We were both going to get manicures and pedicures. There were only 4 nail techs and all 4 were not close to finishing up with the people they were working on which means they probably wouldn't have gotten to us for a good 15 minutes or so and they were already 15 minutes late. When I called to make the appointments I asked for 1:00pm. He said 2:00 would be better. Ok, no problem. So we took the 2:00. Well, that didn't work either. My wife has been to this saloon before. My daughter and her friends go to this saloon. Well, never again. They just lost about 5 customers. read more

I have been going here for about 4 months each time I go it gets worse. I will not be going back. The wait time is horrible even when u make an appointment. I shouldn't be at a nail salon for 3 hours. The last time I went crystal did my nails she has before. She is very tough filed my nails so hard she made me bleed and my fingers are super sore when I said something she started talking smack to another employee. From the chairs to the filtered air with no chemical smell to the thorough pedicure job and paint job this place is 5 out of 5 stars. I genuinely don't leave reviews like this but Ive had more than one horrible experience here. I've been going here since before it was LE and i don't know when the business had a turn over but when it was crystals I had multiple bad experiences; unsure why I kept going. I was over charged, and charged different amounts for the same service over a period of time which was weird. The website and in-shop sign would say $45 for ANC and then i'd be charge $55... I would be cut on multiple fingers, leaving w raw skin and bloody cuticles, extremely long waiting times, and just overall horrible service and experience. I'm no perfectionist and I most certainly take bad days and busy lives into consideration for the person doing the service but over multiple bad experiences and such it became clear they stopped caring ab doing well and treating people w respect. My first experience back after it turning into LE nails was even worse. I was waiting for 1 hour 30 mins (usually not something that bothers me if the work is well done...) I was seated w a man who was angrily doing my nails. didn't even do what i asked for. I asked for an ANC french manicure and left w an acrylic set w white nail polish on the tips. My hands were extremely soar and hurt so bad I genuinely have a fear of getting my nails done now in fear of being hurt that bad again. A week later (today) I went to get them soaked off and my cuticles are still scabbed. The soak off experience was bad as well. The women that took them off would put acetone on them for 30 seconds then drill them off and repeat that a few times instead of just using a regular soaking method. She then took a nail tip and started to scrape the acrylic off which was extremely painful. I don't know why she did that instead of the usual soak off method. Just strange environment and weird vibes all around all the time. Not a good place, I don't like it at all. Please think twice before going here. read more

I had a horrible experience with this salon doing a substandard job with my nails. I actually had to go back because they were so bumpy. They treated me like it was my fault. They were rude when I went in, didn't speak with me and spent 5 minutes fixing their mistakes. Needless to say I won't be going back. I won't recommend them at all. read more

Went for a pedi and dip powder mani. Pedi came first and an older Asian woman with glasses did my feet. She cut the skin by my toes and just kept saying "haha sorry" when I started to bleed. She then proceeded to try to use a CHEESE GRATER TOOL ON MY FEET WHICH IS ILLEGAL. You can get serious infection by these and it actually makes your calluses worse in the long term. If a health inspector sees this they will shut you down right away end of story. STAY AWAY FROM CHEESE GRATER TOOL. I told her no and she kept insisting when I had to keep saying NO. I told the owner Quan and he said he would take care of my hands instead. I waited an hour while my feet were drying which makes no sense. My feet will dry if you start my hands. He did my hands, used an old used nail filer. Cut the skin around my hands nails as well. Awful job. Took 3 hours for all of this to be done. And made me pay full service and left with scabs and pain all over for days. Stay away. read more
