They were originally located off of Rt 9 near a friend I was staying with in Cohoes, and they just happened to move to Malta where I was heading when my apartment finally became available. (2 months late. But I digress-),they were welcoming and I was so lucky to find a stylist on the first try who listened to me about what I wanted, how my hair reacts not only to certain styles but cutting methods (razor-cutting is popular but my hair is a cursed, demon-possessed thing if it's own like the snakes on Medusa and turns into just that ). Not only is the entire staff friendly and pleasurable to interact with, Kelly makes sure I am always happy with everything before I leave. Satisfaction guaranteed, if you get home and don't like it she'll fix it and work with you til you do. She (like her fellow colleagues I've seen with their clients) is knowledgeable and stays on the up-and-up in her skills-I love hearing about the seminars and events she goes to, mostly because I selfishly know it'll work in my favor . She has made great recommendations for my hair that actually worked, and introduced to me the magical (albeit probably witchcraft haha) hair semi-permanent defrizzing process that is a Brazilian Blowout. Anyway, I can't recommend them enough. They're a cozy, smaller group of stylists with great talents and amazing personality. It's almost like hanging out with your gal pals after a hard day at work- they even have wine . They have excellent customer service, whether it was working me in at the last minute because of family coming in from out of town or rescheduling because of my crazy work schedule at times, they have always tried to be accommodating and still friendly and nice about it-which anyone who has been in customer service knows is not the easiest thing to do, amiright?! Anyway, if you're looking for a stylist that makes you feel brand new when you leave instead of looking for a hat and someone else to fix it, I highly recommend the ladies at Nuance.

I was going to her prior to her opening her own place and it was a no brainer to follow her once she opened her new salon post-Lucca closing. Every cut and color is exactly what you want and it looks good. Jalena is also good about giving you advice about the look you're looking for so you can look your best coming out. The new place is very modern yet cozy inside and the attention is completely personal and you're not waiting forever between appointments inside. Then I happened to have a chance meeting with Adriane from the Beauty Society. I can honestly say, I will never go back to the old way of hair color again. I had beautiful long wavy hair, and came out with a chin length cut (that I did not ask for). I was upset with the way my hair looked for a really long time.
