My usual is Kevin. He takes his time and pay attention to every nail. Also Cindy is really good. She is really precise and can tell she wants to do a nice job. Overall is a nice place. Employees try not to make you wait so much they are good. They like if you book appointments tho. Bad experience with Linsey. She was rushing at taking off my acrylic set and my nails got really ruined because she had a customer waiting for her. She used a nail tip to remove completely my set instead they usually gently soaked all my nails untill they came off. Only bad experience. Now have to wait my nails get better since she really damaged them. :/ read more

Service is good but prices go up & down depending on who does your nails. You aren't given a price until the whole service done which makes it hard to know how much cash to bring. They really seem to like to deal with cash only service due to they don't have credit card access. Which is funny for a retail business or any business to run without credit cards. read more

I went there a few months ago and feel I was way over charged. January it had gone up 5$ for a pedicure no biggie. Then I went in March and was charged 60$. I wanted a manicure and then I ended up not having enough time so I tried to cancel that part of my appointment and he wouldn't have anything to do with that. So I settled on a cuticle treatment it took him 15 minutes. He charged me 30$. So I walked out of there spending 90$ plus a tip. Felt I was way over charged for my services. Called for same day appointment for two gel manicures, and pedicures. We arrived a little late (life happens) but we're seating immediately and the welcoming into the mail salon was nice. Pedicure water was hot (my preference), the massage chair was adequate (I've had better). The pedicure itself was lovely, I added a paraffin wax treatment. The Gel manicure was completed alongside the pedicure. I enjoyed this small detail as it allowed more time in the massage chair. I swear I TRIED to love this place. I mean, I even went in at least 5 times with different people. They say this is the best nail place in Galt. Well, damn I must have got the people that suck. So my experience today was very similar to the one I had 2 months ago but with a different person. I called the day before and made an appointment, lady on the phone told me "our last appointment times are 6pm." Perfect that works for me, I let her know I just need a mani and pedi. So I show up at 5:57. Probably got taken by 6:07 (which is completely fine, but I still want my mani and pedi.) Pedi started first, it was a nice pedi. Then at 6:47, he still asks me if I want my mani. Uhmmm, yea this is why I came in. When I say "yeah" he has a smirk on his face wanting me to say no. I had my color picked out, same one as my pedi, he looks at the time and now it's 6:57 (they close at 7) and starts telling me that the color I picked out doesn't look good on me. So why didn't you tell me when you were putting it on my toes???? He goes to tell me clear coat looks good on me. I wanted color. He did clear coat but didn't take off the previous nail polish i had on. Or even make them look nice. My 2 year old could have done it way better. I will not be returning here, I'll continue driving to Elk Grove to get my nails done. Such a horrible experience. I guess I should say experiences.... I think I found my new nail spot in our new town! I called at 11am to see if they were able to accommodate four pedicures, last minute. They had us come in at noon. We didn't have to wait too long. I know we called last minute so taking that into consideration, they were amazing! Jane did my pedicure. And yes, I will be requesting her for my next appointment. She was so sweet! This salon is perfect for any Galt resident that doesn't want to travel to get their nails done. I walked in here last minute. I had heard of it though usually not in the best way. I've lived in Galt for 2 years and never stepped foot inside. On a whim when I was trying to kill some time I said why not. They took me in quickly last minute which was nice. Unfortunately my nail technician wasn't very friendly. She was rather cold and somewhat aggressive when moving my hands around. She started by pushing my dry cuticles back on one hand... then she must have realized she needed to soak them and then went back to grab a bowl of water... with very very little water and it was cold. Then when she got the cuticle cutters she wiped them on the towel in front of me... as in they aren't the cleanest... which honestly grossed me out, but not enough to walk out because let's be honest... a lot of these nail salons could freshen up on their sanitation skills... my nails were already super short and she didn't cut them but did try and file them which hurt a little, she did quickly realize she wasn't going to get anywhere with the file and just dropped it. The gel manicure was fine. She painted my nails nice enough. I am torn. It's getting 3 stars because my experience wasn't pleasant and they need to clean their tools better... but I am not ranking it lower because... the price was 25... 30 with a tip and I would go back if I were stuck in a bind, but won't go back if I could help it. If you can plan a trip into Elk Grove or Lodi for nails I would do that, but if you can't... at least you'll know this place can paint your nails nice... read more

Do not go here. Not only was the experience horrible but the results were horrible. First off the were extremely rude and openly talked badly about me in front of other customers because I showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment. Then the girl who did my nails was EXTREMELY rude. I asked for medium length coffin shaped nails. I got short stubby some round shape, some kind of coffin, and some square. If I could leave a 0 I would. I went in to have a manicure for my gel nails and they told me they were acrylic. No they weren't. I know the difference. They were gel nails. Done very well somewhere else. They used a drimmel to file off my polish after i told them they usually soak off the polish. Apparently no had no clue. After months of having my gel nails done after one trip her my nails folded over after I touched anything. They could use some training on real fingernails and gel polish. Great place. The prices are reasonable and I always enjoy their service. The atmosphere is nice very hygienic. The foot tubs are lined with new plastic for each client and the tools are unwrapped from a sealed package. I LOVE THE NEW LOCATION!!! It's gorgeous! Andy rememberers so many of his clients and I've grown to rely on Cindy's talents with the powder dipped manicure, Emily's relaxing touch with my pedicure and my mom can attest to the magical hands of Mimi. Rest assured that when you go there, you'll be cared for! They will also serve adult beverages upon request or you can bring your own! My mom and I make this a regular destination every time she visits me which is typically every 3 weeks or so and the few times I've ever gone elsewhere (when I'm out of town or something) the quality always pales in comparison to Crystal Nails! read more
