Currently they are learning to play in class with Coach Randy. He is wonderful with younger kids like mine. He makes the class so fun, but still teaches important foundational skills. My kids look forward to attending every week, and I love getting them outside to get their energy out. I am so happy there is such a wonderful tennis program for kids at this age!

Caughlin Club is a bit of a throwback, and I mean that mostly as a compliment. It feels more like…read morean actual neighborhood athletic club than a giant commercial gym. There's a lot here: weights and cardio, basketball, tennis and pickleball, a year round pool, sauna and steam room, plus a genuinely extensive group fitness program. I sub for classes here, so obviously take that disclosure for what it's worth, but it also means I see the place when it's actually being used rather than just walking through for a tour. What I like most is the community. There are people who have been coming here for years, people who know each other, and a huge range of ages and fitness levels. Classes feel like classes rather than anonymous rooms full of people staring at a screen. Is the facility brand new and gleaming? Absolutely not. Some of it has some age on it, and if your priority is the newest possible equipment in a spotless modern box, there are newer gyms in Reno. But Caughlin has something those places often don't: character, a ridiculous number of ways to actually use your membership, and the feeling of a real club. Come for a workout, take a class, swim, hit the sauna, play tennis, and suddenly you've been here half the day. That's kind of the point.

So far we've worked with Cody and Ryan and both provide very tailored, helpful instruction along with drills and game play to keep you moving. The whole team is energetic, engaging and clearly talented tennis players themselves. As an adult learning tennis later in life, I've worked with a number of instructors on different vacations and this team is by far the best. I can finally serve! The location is in the middle of nature and is stunning (you can even hear the stream in the background). We're staying at the Ritz and it's a quick 10 minute drive over so very easy for those staying at different properties. We've had such a good time that we booked private instruction and an adult camp for the additional 4 days of our vacation! Definitely recommend checking it out.

I arrived here fairly early, and I was greeted warmly by the front counter person. He already had my name, welcomed me, and offered me towels. He gave me a short rundown of the amenities, and then set me off to exercise. It was not too busy this morning, everybody was quite friendly. It seems this is not open to the public. It did have a exclusive feel about it. Everything was really clean. And they had a full variety of exercise equipment as well as a nice outdoor pool. I jumped in the pool, even though it's freezing outside, the pool was around 80°. Sun was shining. It was definitely exhilarating to be out in the open, swimming in a heated pool, with all of the snow still surrounding the recreation center. After the swim, I jumped in the hot tub and there were a few people in the hot tub. Good conversation. It was really an enjoyable visit. I would absolutely come back here

There was one homeless person sleeping on the playground. There is a metal zip line at this park. There are swings and toddler swings at this park. Wood chips are underneath the playground. There is a bathroom at the park. When I went to see if the bathroom was clean I interrupted a homeless man sleeping in the bathroom. That man didn't leave the bathroom very clean. There is a horseshoe pit. There is a covered eating area. There are tennis courts which appeared to be in good condition. There was another homeless person sleeping under one of the trees. Despite the homeless people who were occupying this park, the park was mostly clean. Street parking is available. Have fun out there. -Dadzone

I have been here a couple of times with friends and have not been overly disturbed by either the freeway or the homeless. It is a nice walk up the hill from downtown and is a very convenient spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and a treat from Homage. The north edge of the park along University Terrace is much quieter. The park looks well maintained. A lovely, shady, green spot to enjoy on a warm day.
