Dr Hochman is so thorough and kind. The office staff are AMAZING- kind and welcoming. I went in for a Jones fracture and ended up needing surgery. Dr Hochman explained everything that he would do and worked with me on my treatment plan. The surgery was quick and went well. I've gone to other podiatry offices and feel like they are just trying to "sell" surgical procedures. I really appreciate the care and attention everyone in this office puts into every patient. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in healthcare- the physician assistant was the one who worked with me and the doctor came in, never looked at my foot. What a joke. I walked out with a boot and I had to pay $100. Not a good business. read more

If I could give more than five stars, I would.  Dr.  Hochman is incredible.  He diagnosed the source of my foot pain very quickly as well as identifying the problems with my current shoe inserts.  He plainly reported the issue, giving a detailed explanation that I could walk out and repeat. How often can you say that after seeing a specialist! The front office staff are awesome.  I was warmly greeted and checked out.  When insurance needed to be discussed about further treatment, I was given specific information to use to get data from my insurance company so I would be successful in getting the right information. I recently went here with my husband when he was having an issue with his foot. He was pretty sure it was plantar fasciitis and had been trying to treat it on his own for months, but it wasn't getting any better. This office opened up around the corner from us, so he finally listened to my nagging, I mean my helpful advice, and went to see a professional about his foot. All I can say is they are a 5 star office! Here's why we liked them: -Super friendly front desk staff. I had made an appointment for my hubs. The morning of his appointment, there was a work emergency that he had to go to. He was already at work 2 hours prior to the doctor's office opening time. I called and rescheduled at the last second and they were so nice about it. I appreciated it because it really was an unplanned work emergency. They didn't give me any grief about it at all. I super appreciated this! -The doctor was so nice. He spent a lot of time listening to my husband and really getting to the bottom of the issue. He made us feel validated, not just another number to crank through his doors. It's nice to have a doctor actually listen to you and not just through pills at you. -The staff really seemed like they wanted to help, not just make you buy a bunch of things. All treatment options were explained throughly. Prices were discussed prior to anything happening. They checked our insurance, so we knew exactly what to expect. This is nice too since no one wants a 5k medical bill when you think it's going to be $50. I hope you don't have any foot issues, but if you do, I highly recommend this podiatrist's office. read more

Dr. Hochman was amazing! I had cut my foot on broken glass almost two years prior to seeing him. It had just recently started to really bother me. Due to my insurance I had to get a referral first, and I requested this office due to other reviews I had seen. They called me almost immediately after the referral came through and were able to get me in the next day. Brenda at the front desk was very friendly. When Dr. Hochman came in he looked at my foot and could tell me that I definitely still had glass in it. Because he could see it, he was able to remove it in office, without even needing to numb my foot. He was that gentle at pulling it out! I will definitely recommend him to others and go here for any other foot issues I may have in the future. read more

So my experience with this office is concerning. I was charged some random charge on my bill. When I called to question the charge I was given some rambling about a state required charge when a bone is broken. The code was "surgery". Keep in mind this office did nothing but take an x-ray and say yep your toe is broken. Prescribed ibuprofen and some crème to put on it. That's it. No toe splint, no boot because dr stated it was an insignificant injury. The result was my insurance requested I fill out out an accident form. I called my insurance to figure out what form I needed to fill out to process the claim and my rep stated that I had already filled out the form. Well, no I hadn't but it appears the dr's office did. They weren't suppose to but I guess they have this scam figured out. So please watch your bills from this place. I won't be going back. read more

I went in to see this podiatrist because of foot pain. The service I got from the doctor was ok. I asked about getting new foot orthotics and they told me I had to call my insurance company to get my coverage benefits. Long story short the billing person didn't submit the correct codes and then to top it off the type of orthotics they ordered weren't covered by my insurance. Instead of them doing their job and getting the preauthorization themselves they left it up to the patient who knows nothing about insurance claims. Now I'm out a couple hundred dollars and I still don't don't have my orthotics. read more

I don't know how I lucked into getting Dr. Hochman but when I broke my ankle and wound up in the emergency room that's just what happened. I can't say enough good things about Brenda, she scheduled my appointments, was super helpful and just really personable which made an unpleasant circumstance better. Dr. Hockman was very knowledgeable, explained things as we went, addressed all my concerns (I had many) and overall was professional and courteous. I have MS so my concerns being under anesthesia were noted and addressed when I woke up. My after care was surprising because he addressed some issues that I may have and fitted me for orthotics which helped in my recovery. I can not recommend Dr. Hochman and his staff any higher, I feel confident that any issue you maybe having, Crystal Falls Foot and Ankle Specialist can help. read more
