I received reminders and confirmation messages which made it all very easy, and he arrived early to the appointment. The surprising part was that after inspecting my gutters and taking some pictures, he came out to show me that the problem was not a clog or dirty gutters but something structural, and that his cleaning wouldn't address my initial concern. He gave me the choice of whether I still wanted a cleaning, and after declining said he wouldn't charge me for his time. I will definitely be keeping him in mind for any future work I need, and would highly recommend him for being so up front.

They were able to get me scheduled quickly and at a time that worked perfectly for me. They were the only company that actually left samples so I could see the colors and materials in person, which made the decision so much easier. Henia was fantastic throughout the whole process--she kept communication flowing, answered all my questions, and made everything feel seamless. Really great experience from start to finish. Pricing is fair and transparent, and communication is excellent throughout the process. Ethan personally checks the work at the end of the job, which shows how much pride the company takes in its craftsmanship. To start, Steve came to our home a few weeks ago and after reviewing our property, gave us a folder with a little biography, along with a quote and a color chart. Right away, everything felt extremely professional and homely. I could tell by the folder and the way he described his company that he is passionate about what he does. He also mentioned that his two sons handle the installations, which I thought was great since it was a family run business. Initially, we had actually agreed to go with another company until I realized the other company's license was suspended because both their worker's comp and insurance expired. When I checked The Gutter Connection's license, I saw that there had NEVER been a lapse in insurance or workers' comp, which pretty much sealed the deal for me. We scheduled an appointment, and Steve's sons arrived today. They were polite, well dressed, and professional. My husband and I were happy right away. During the job, they pointed out that one of the original plans for diverting water wouldn't work as expected. We agreed upon an alternative and it turned out beautifully. After the work was done, we walked around the house and were thrilled with how clean, seamless, and beautiful everything looked. I honestly can't recommend these guys enough. They're kind, professional, and truly talented. Having worked with other contractors before these guys know how to get a job done right. Highly, highly recommend!

I called him over a week ago for a job, and he quoted me a fair price and scheduled a date the following week to do the work. I'm redoing my backyard and needed to coordinate his job with some stucco repair and paint work from other subs. After five days of leaving several messages and texts, he gave absolutely no reply. I'm usually willing to give somebody the benefit of the doubt. There are several reasons someone might not reply... Maybe there was an accident....maybe something happened to their family, etc. Having said that, I figured I would try to call him from a different line than the one I had been previously using to leave messages and texts from. SHOCKER!!! He picked up on the first ring, then proceeded to tell me that he had to go to Mexico because his grandmother had passed away, and he had to deliver her body down there. Wow, that is completely tragic, and I wouldn't want anybody to go through that. He also claimed he would call me back within the hour to firm things up for the next day. Well after 4+ hours, that never happened. He just continued to string me along. Based on a lot of the one-star yelp reviews I read....Somehow, I have the funny feeling that he's had a lot of relatives pass away and have to be delivered down to Mexico. If you're looking for any kind of rain gutter work to be done on your house, Marcelino and the other folks at First Choice may be a good fit for you. If you like being quoted great pricing, then ghosted, lied to, inconvenienced, and left feeling like you completely wasted your time with a moron, then give First Choice a call. Marcelino and his business will fit all those wickets perfectly. I realize times are tough for contractors and subs right now. We're in the middle of a down cycle. Honesty, integrity, and being responsible for your decisions and how they affect others go a long way these days.
