My wife and I were looking for a lifelong plumber..and we found him with Hal!…read more We live in a very old house that has a ton of outdated plumbing and pipe issues. Hal came over, reviewed a list of items we wanted and came in significantly lower then the 4 other companies who provided the same estimates. Hal was also the only person who came up with a creative idea when it came to adding a dishwasher to our small kitchen(something we're definitely doing down the road). Hal arrived on time and right off the bat was not only professional, but very polite. He asked if/when he needed to move certain items to get access, and did an excellent job with cleanup. Hal spent most of the day working on 3 separate projects, which included a new bathtub setup, new outdoor faucets and a replacing a leaky valve and finished them all. He not only exceeded our expectations by the quality of work, but he also provided the bill at the end of the day(per our request), and it was exactly what he estimated. If you're looking for a honest, hard working plumber, Hal is your guy.

FPH&G is always really communicative, gets back to me promptly, cares about my experiences, comes when they say they will, is efficient with the work, does quality work and treats me, my family and my home with total respect. Their pricing is fair and upfront. Today, one of the associates Nick even contacted the manufacturer to get an item replaced for me under warranty and then showed me how to install it myself so that he doesn't have to come back and I can save some money. That's the kind of thing that makes me recommend Chris, Nick and FPH&G to everyone. Strongly recommend them.

The work we had him do involved re-fitting some radiator pipes for a new radiator, installing a Slantfin 30 radiator, removing a cast iron radiator, and capping off some un-used branches from our HW heating system. Chris came, gave us an estimate of the level of effort and worked with us as had some project hiccups and scheduling issues we encountered. I appreciate that the whole time Chris was very honest about how much time parts of the job would take, what his rate was and how he passed on materials costs. I always take it as a good sign when a contractor is very honest and communicative - two things Chris excels at. He showed up on time, ready to work and worked steadily. After he was finished with the radiator install, he fired up the boiler and helped us bleed the air out of the system, taking his time to ensure the boiler filled properly, fired up, and started to heat our home. He also wanted to test the radiator he had installed for us to ensure that most of all, his work was done correctly. I appreciated his attention to detail and willingness to stick around and ensure the job was done correctly. Overall, we found Chris to be an awesome guy, and a reliable and knowledgable plumber. We will be going to him for all of our plumbing needs for years to come.

He quoted me a number which seemed reasonable. After calling several other companies and learning that it would take well over a week to get out, and they charged fees just to come take a look it made my decision easy. Jim and his crew were there within a week to get the job done. The installation took about an hour - hour and a half. It was an easy, very painless process. Jim and his crew were friendly, knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the process. I had Jim take a look at a couple other small projects around the house which he accepted. Which leads me to today. I called Jim at about 8:45 with a problem regarding one of the small projects he looked at. He was at my house in 25 minutes and immediately to work. Jim and crew seem to genuinely care. They are honest, charged me exactly what he quoted me. They were prompt, and the work is excellent. I will be calling Coakley Plumbing for every plumbing and heating job that comes up for as long as I'm in the Medway area. You should too.

This gentleman is a great plumber. But, more than that, he's a really good person. I would highly…read morerecommend him to anyone in need of a professional to handle any plumbing-related problem or project. I had a cable installer come to my house today at around 4:30pm. He went down into the basement to check some wiring and, when he came back up at around 4:45, he told me that there was water leaking down into the basement from my first-floor bathroom. I literally moved into this house yesterday, and it's my first house (I've been an apartment dweller my whole adult life), so I was freaked out and rather panicked about it because, for the first time, I couldn't simply call maintenance. This gentleman told me that he was finishing up a job but that he could come over after he was done. He arrived at 6:14, which is technically very much "after hours". He messed around with the toilet a bit and discovered that the toilet tank was leaking at the tank bolts. He said he just needed to tighten them up. But then they wouldn't come off and he had to cut them off, which took a while. Then he installed new tank bolts, complete with brand new washers, solving the problem completely. This man could have made up anything and I would have believed it in the worried state I was in. He could have talked me into a brand new toilet if he wanted to, he could have replaced things that didn't need replacing, he could have taken his sweet time about what he did do in order to pad the bill - but he did none of that! He was done with the project in about a half hour, start to finish. And his bill was only $125. For an emergency call after hours that is incredibly low. But this guy was clearly not looking to rip anybody off, but rather to make repeat customers out of us - which he definitely did! In fact, I only had about $90 in cash on me, but instead of making me use a credit card or write a check, he gladly just waited about 15 minutes for my wife to come home and then she gave him the remaining $30. And during that 15 minutes he told me all about the best places in town to get takeout, the best pizza place, the best Chinese food place, the best burger place, etc. And as someone who just moved to town, that information was truly appreciated. We plan to install a garbage disposal, replace our dishwasher, upgrade our toilets, install a gas clothes-dryer, and possibly get a new fridge with an icemaker and water in the door, all within the next 4-6 months, and we will definitely be calling this man for each of those projects!!

What is truly impressive is the time they spent with me explaining the nature of the plumbing problem and its solutions, even before the job began. From the beginning of the job to end, Anne the Plumber took meticulous care and I felt as if it were the most important project that they were doing that day. And, it was not a simple job, like a leaky faucet, it was a complicated job. They had to literally build piping for a washer and dryer that had no infrastructure already in place. The money I spent was worth every penny. I will only use Anne the Plumber for my own condo, and my building has used them as well, with excellent results.
