The grounds, including the swans and ducks, really help re-energize your spirit. Innkeeper Cheri is delightful and friendly, without being overbearing. I found it very neat and convenient that she will communicate with you via text, rather than a knock on the door or a call; that really adds to the relaxing feel of the inn. You will find exhibits on many different sports, with baseball, football, and basketball having the greatest emphasis, but there's also smaller displays on sports such as NASCAR, tennis, horse racing, and branches of sports such as broadcasting, coaching, officiating, and sports medicine. And since we were able to take in a lot of information found there, we were very surprised to see people with ties to our high schools' (from which we graduated 10+ years prior) sports teams in the hall. The Hall of Fame was definitely the highlight of our trip to Springfield, and if you're a fan of any of Missouri's 5 pro sports teams or its college teams, it just may be the highlight of yours too.

She has chairs, tables & linens to rent as well as some miscellaneous decor (candelabras, photo booth signs, etc.). The chapel is where the ceremony takes place. This is the original church that was built back in the 1800s and was restored in 2013 and 2014. Cathy did an incredible job with this restoration, as the pews and floors are original to the church. The reception hall is a decent size for an medium wedding. We had about 65 people and 8 round tables and we filled the room (granted some tables were empty in the back). The chandeliers were beautiful in the reception hall. The bridal suite was where I spent most of my morning with my bridesmaids and mom. It was perfect. There is a window AC unit which came in handy because it was 90 degrees on my wedding day in OCTOBER! There is an adjoining bathroom several large mirrors to use when getting ready. The groom's room was smaller and had a locking closet which was nice. The lighting in their room was pretty dark, but it only takes a little while to put tuxes on. Overall, I would recommend this venue to anyone. If I had to change one thing, it would be to make things a little easier for those in wheelchairs. The venue is technically wheelchair accessible but there were 3 or 4 locations in the venue my father had a very difficult time maneuvering because the lip of the floor would go up 2 inches or so. It was difficult to get his wheelchair over those humps. My wedding day was magical and the venue had a lot to do with that!

It was extremely hot and the sun shining through the windows made it worse. I highly suggest the venue add shades or shutters to help the temperature inside. There are no trees or vegetation to help cool off. There are also no hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes. The driveway/parking lot are extremely rough. There is also nowhere to take small children to keep them from disturbing the wedding ceremony when they get out of hand. We were here several hours with our family for a wedding and to the point of being miserable due to the extreme heat in the building.

Although I personally feel like that has changed somewhat over the years, I think the Trolley Bike injects a heavy dose of fun to this city. For those who don't know, the Trolley Bike is a people powered monstrosity that is way more fun than the mere sum of its parts. A literal party on wheels, its unique combination of multi-passenger bicycle, music, alcohol, the outdoors, and 12 or so friends is what really characterizes the experience. As an avid indoors man, I couldn't tell you when I last hopped on a bike, much less enjoyed being outside in cold weather. The Trolley Bike, however, made both experiences fun. In short, this is one of the best additions to Springfield's (arguably short) "things to do" list. I would highly recommend a trip on the Trolley Bike.

Each place offers a deal on a shot since we were on the Trolley. And we also went outside of downtown to Ebbetts. Because it was 86 degrees, I thought it would be too hot but there are panels that block the sun and you get a breeze once you're moving! This is such a fun way to day drink and have a good time! There is also great tunes and our driver, Devin, was so awesome!
