They have a very nice metaphysical library upstairs that anyone can use, but only members can check books out. The gift shop is nice and a very spiritual atmosphere. I have long been fascinated by the life and achievements of Edgar Cayce and was fortunate to have a number of interesting conversations and email exchanges with his son Edgar Evans Cayce before his passing 2013. His father, Edgar Cayce made his home in Virginia Beach, VA from 1924 until his death in 1945. On June 6, 1931, 61 people attended a meeting to carry on Cayce's work and form the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) Today A.R.E. is a non-profit organization that has been transforming lives for nearly a century. It's aim is to help individuals achieve profound personal change in body, mind, and spirit through the wisdom found in Cayce's psychic readings. This organization serves as a great resource for those seeking to enhance their spiritual growth and well-being. The history of A.R.E. traces back to Edgar Cayce's extraordinary psychic abilities, which he used to help thousands of individuals with health concerns, past-life insights, and spiritual guidance. Cayce's readings covered a wide range of topics, including ancient mysteries, holistic health remedies, and spirituality. These readings form the foundation of A.R.E. and continue to serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for its members. A.R.E. offers a variety of services, workshops, conferences, and retreats to support individuals in their journey towards personal transformation. These programs cover topics such as meditation, dream interpretation, spiritual growth, and holistic health practices. Additionally, A.R.E. publishes materials related to Edgar Cayce's teachings, making his wisdom accessible to people around the world. The headquarters, in Virginia Beach, houses the Edgar Cayce Library, which contains an extensive collection of books, audio recordings, and other resources. Members can access these materials to deepen their understanding of Cayce's teachings and explore new paths towards spiritual growth. A.R.E.'s immensities lie in its far-reaching impact on individuals seeking personal and spiritual transformation. By providing access to Edgar Cayce's profound wisdom and fostering a supportive community, A.R.E. continues to empower individuals to unlock their true potential and lead more fulfilling lives. As a testament to the organization's lasting influence, Bottom line: A.R.E. has grown to include regional chapters, international outreach, and online resources, making its life-changing teachings available to an ever-expanding global audience.

First of all when I walked in the owner was Doing something on the phone and barely acknowledged me when she handed me the intake forms. We had a little bit of exchange of information and she took me to the room where the procedure took place. There was very little information shared on how the procedure would go. I did share with her that I had had a bad experience in the past somewhere else. When the procedure started, I asked her if anything was coming out and she told me I needed to be patient. Fair enough. Five minutes into the procedure she receives a phone call that she says she has to take. It turns out to be an appointment for a conference call with people from her child's school and she tells me she needs to take it, but that they can't see me. She was on the call on speaker for about 10 minutes and then continue to work on me. She massaged my stomach with hot stones. She went very hard and very deep to the point that I Now feel bruised internally. Another half an hour and she receives another phone call this time an appointment with her personal doctor and yes, another conference call to discuss her Zepbound dosing. In spite of these two phone calls interrupting our sessions she Was very unapologetic and just said "life happens" both times. I found this to be extremely unprofessional. I had booked Three sessions and asked her for a refund on the other two since I didn't feel this was a good experience especially since I feel my stomach bruised and I had extreme and painful gas after the session. She's been very gracious about the refund. When I went to pick up the money, she told me she didn't realize she had gone so deep. I wanted to tell her that she probably didn't notice cause she was so distracted with her conference calls. I gave her two stars because I can imagine it being a different experience Had she not been interrupted So frequently.

I was able to get an appointment very soon. The schedule was open. So that was nice. Upon arriving at 67th street, you can park at the bottom of the hill or drive up the hill behind the building. There is a handicap accessible ramp in the back of the building. When you come in the back door you walk through the hallway to the main lobby. I was greeted and checked in then taken to the alphasphere room. Its located on the bottom floor and it did feel like a dungeon a little bit. Lol.. When you get to the room its glowing blue and the room is dark. I paid for the 30 minute session. Its a combination of vibrations, music and tones, and they have 4 colors to choose from. You lay in a special chair. At first i couldn't get comfortable. But then i finally dozed off and got relaxed. I chose pink which was a pretty soothing color. I do wish I'd have gotten the hour since i wasted 10 minutes getting into it. A hour may seem long so i feel 45 minutes would be the best because its not over doing it or under doing it. But they only offer 30 mins or 1 hour. Its an experience so if your expecting something special, its not going to knock your socks off but you'll feel peace and calm... Now the downside!! Theres a sound proof pad over the door because its supposed to be quiet, but it wasn't. Lol. I heard every conversation of people walking by, doors opening and closing, and etc.. The room is very quiet but just outside is all the noise!! So thats another reason it took time to get comfortable. I would try it again though. It was enjoyable. My massage therapist (Bridgitt) was very friendly and had a fun vibe. She helped me relax. She focused on my problem areas and we had good conversation. The facial was nice, it left my face feeling refreshed. Keep in mind this is a basic facial with hot towels and a face mask nothing extensive like blackhead removal, exfoliation, or anything like that. But still enjoyable. I left feeling light and relaxed. I would return for more services. It was a pleasant experience.

Is it a natural part of the passage of life when you review more medical practices than night…read moreclubs? Sigh.... If you want a doctor who is not just knowledgable & caring, but also has a fabulous dry wit sense of humor, then Dr. Christopher Asuncion is your man. His "one liners" make going to the doctor a much more relaxed experience. My using Dr. A as a Primary Physician began years ago when my internist retired. A number of people at work went to a large, well established group in the Beach General corridor. So that's the practice I chose. Gradually everyone at work gravitated to Dr. A, a member of that practice at the time. When he left to found Mid-Atlantic Family Medicine, we all followed him. Dr. Asuncion isn't the type of Doctor you feel is rushing you out of the exam room. He will listen to your ailments & symptoms as long as you want to talk. And he remembers not just your medical conditions but also your family, interests & activities. Whenever I have one of my semi-regular sinus infections he will make sure that his staff works me into his always full schedule. And he will do his best to knock it out in the shortest time possible, especially if I have an important upcoming activity planned. It's quite humorous when he walks in the room & the first thing he says is "Got it again?" His decisions regarding whether you should be referred to a specialist for a newly diagnosed condition are prompt & correct. I've always been very happy with his specialist choices. An on-site lab technician eliminates the hassle of having to go to a hospital for blood work. Electronic transmission of prescriptions eliminates the need to carry a script to the pharmacy & make a return trip to pick it up, Access to the doctor is extremely easy. He is available by email, either responding by email or having his nurse or the office staff call. All are responsive & pleasant. The only down side to a one man family medicine practice is that he does need vacations & time off. His PA handles the chores in his absence. But of course I prefer Dr. A. The office is located in the Bon Secours Medical Building off South Plaza Trail, just north of Princess Anne Road. Both the building and the office convey the feelings of new, nicely decorated, clean & well lit. The spacious glass walls offer one an outside view that makes waiting in an exam room much more acceptable that four closed in walls. And the exam rooms are a nice size, rather than claustrophobic. Parking is plentiful and laid out so that it's always an extremely short walk to the entrance. Regular parking spaces are just as convenient as the handicapped slots. There is a covered drive-thru at the entrance, so one can drive an elderly or infirm patient directly to the door. Wheel chairs are available in the building lobby for their further use. Walk into the door at Mid-Atlantic Family Medicine and you are greeted pleasantly by your name. (Does this mean I go to the doctor too often?) It's a much more pleasant experience than the check-in ogre's at some medical practices who give one the feeling that you are interfering with their day. There must be a check-in ogre school, since so many have the same technique. Now I'm thinking of the one liner Dr. A would come up with if he read this review. I'm pretty certain I know exactly what it would be. So I'll just close on a serious note. Thank you for taking care of us Dr. A. You are very much appreciated.
