I have always wanted to have a lot of piercings and I have been on such pursuit for a long time…read more(almost a decade to be exact). The amount of money, time and effort I've invested to accomplish this is kind of ridiculous, but I just love them. In this pursuit, I discovered that apparently Tulsa has a shortage of piercers. After going to two different places who all lost their piercers to other professions, I ended up at Brookside Tattoo. Highly recommend! The place is super cool and clean (particularly throughout the pandemic). They are attentive, friendly and will go above and beyond to take care of you. I lost count of how many times I've been here regarding piercing issues (swelling, redness, etc.). Each time, they'd inspect it carefully and make recommendations accordingly even though this was not where I got my piercings originally (I got them while I was traveling). Sometimes they even refused payment just to look at it but I still left a tip to compensate them for their time. There's a convenient ATM inside in case you don't have cash. Tracy in particular was super helpful and even went as far as giving me their direct phone number in case of emergency (yes, my piercings are stubborn and demand that kind of attention like that). The owner, Demi, was also very attentive. They have a nice assortment of quality earrings and will let you know when they're getting new ones.

I wanted to come in on a Tuesday, and she said they normally do by appointment only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and accommodated my schedule for an afternoon appointment. When I arrived, I did end up having to wait for some time for her to prepare and sketch up my design, but that is the only "negative" part of my experience. I had a custom piece, drawn by a friend. Jen was very good about getting it down as I wanted, asking me lots of questions, listening to my feedback and doing what I asked for. The actual work itself was relatively very quick; Jen is deft and professional at what she does. She stopped many times throughout to ask me questions about how I wanted things done. She gave me her suggestions but ultimately listened to what I wanted. They also own Scorpion Studio here in Houston! What a cool coincidence. She told me if I needed any touch up work, to just call her and let her know and she would let them know I was coming by. Very awesome and professional! All in all, I am super happy with my experience and my piece and would definitely recommend these guys. The shop itself is cute (it used to be a brothel, lols) and I liked how they had it set up/decorated. I gave a "moderate" price rating because I feel that it was on the level with what most any other shop would have charged me.

The shop is run by Richard and Jen Stell and good ol Bubba Reaves. Both Richard and Bubba have learned from some of the best tattooers around. They have serious resumes. But don't take my word for it, just walk in and look at their work. This place is clean! It is (to my knowledge) the first and only shop to pass health inspections on the first walk through in Oklahoma. They have taken great care to keep it that way. The shop is also beautiful in terms of design. Original tattoo flash and painting decorate the walls. (Its probably the only place around with original Ed Hardy paintings) So, if you love tattooing and solid work from friendly folks this is your place. If you want terrible tattoos, go some where else.

I ended up adding on a nipple piercing after telling him about a previous bad experience, he put my mind at ease about it and made me feel confident in him. It ended up being hands down the best piercing experience I've ever had. He was very professional, everything was clean and he walked me through every step of the process. I also had very little pain, which is an added bonus. I will definitely be returning for any future piercings. The shop was also overall clean and had a great easy going vibe. We were the only two customers so got in quick and our designs were drawn up quickly. The tattoos were decent as well. I've had a couple before that took longer and had more detail and didn't bruise or have blow-out at all, but this one does. I'm not sure if they were rushing our tattoos or not but it sort of felt that way. I'm the end I love my tattoo and it holds deep meaning to me. It was cash only and I had to pull cash out from their ATM but my card wasn't cooperating and only let me pull out $40 (I had another $40 in my wallet) but I needed a total of $100 (their minimum). My artist let me venmo him the remaining amount and I am very grategful. Overall a fine experience, slightly disappointed.

Went to this shop today with my daughter. We did not have appointments, but they had a cancellation…read moreand the owner was nice enough to message me and get us in. The shop is super clean. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter wanted a memorial piece of an airplane on her neck. I wanted an infinity symbol with two names. The artist, Eric Polland, did an AMAZING job. The tattoos are beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend this location if you are looking for a clean shop with artists doing top notch work. Prices were more than fair. Pics to follow after they heal. Will be back in the future and already handing out cards to friends.
