Crybabies is one of those places where you look at the menu and immediately realize it's going to be hard to choose. The good news is everything we tried was worth it. The prices are fair for the quality and portions. We had the burgers, which were flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also tried tacos and a quesadilla, both fresh and delicious. The drinks were fun and creative, the kind that make you want to try something different instead of sticking to your usual. It's the kind of spot where you come hungry, leave happy, and feel like you got great value for your

It feels like we ate everything off the menu. Lobster sliders were excellent the shrimp and lobster appetizer was incredible stuffed lobster was not very tasty and we were quoted a price of $35 and it came out to be 49 $. and we thought that was wrong. VERY WRONG. But really enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend but make sure the waitress knows market price. We didn't complain but should have.

This place is awesome! The menu is HUGE and the portions are too!! Everyone is super nice and the atmosphere is great. We had the fried clams, fish and chips, meatloaf, and apple martini. It was all AMAZING. Also, the cornbread is yummy and made in the restaurant. Stop by, eat a bunch, and leave a great tip to the server. Next time we're in Maine, we will be back!!

Steamed Lobster was the best we had in Maine! They sure know how to pick them at the dock. Loved the Lobster Sliders and cornbread as well. Big menu, generous sized portions, and the service was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Tried this for the first time. The owner brought out complimentary wings for us to try, which were wonderful. First, the portion size is insane! I mean, like crazy... all of our meals were excellent. Service was great, and our food came out quickly. Hope you are hungry!

Took the visiting family sightseeing the Penobscot Peninsula, including a trek to the very end of Deer Isle to the charming town of Stonington. We had actually already chosen a restaurant to go to before hitting Stonington, thinking we wouldn't be able to find anything plant-based for us in this neck-of-the-woods; however, we fortuitously stumbled upon Cry Babies! What a surprisingly wonderful find!! The place is fairly new, having opened this past May. The façade is very inviting; the inside ambiance is bright, cheery and welcoming. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful to all our dietary requirements. Fortunately, their menu actually contains all-vegan options, so we were VERY grateful!!! (I do add pictures of non-vegan dishes that others ordered.) Everything was very leisurely, yet efficient and timely (food service and such). As the dishes arrived, you couldn't help but be gobsmacked at the portion sizes!!! (It's best to be REALLY hungry when coming here! Lol!!!) My burrito was very tasty; loaded with grilled veggies; they even "toasted" the tortilla perfectly! (I have to admit that I'm not normally a fan of bell peppers; however, all the ingredients went so well with each other.) YUM!!! Everyone LOVED their various orders, as well! I'm crossing my fingers for Cry Babies' success, and can't wait to return very soon...!!! :D

    Kids loved the smoothies!

An unfortunate "new" restaurant name with an unattractive menu and overpriced food. The former Harbor Cafe was so much better.

Excellent find! What a fantastic pizza!…read more We were staying at the fancy tent place up the road and were pretty hungry and fancied a beer or two. Whip out the trusty Yelp app and we are on our way to this wonderful little gem! I have found this app to be a great tool for finding local gems like this. We arrive and it's a bit under construction from the looks of it. This is a family business in the truest sense. They do all of the work themselves, at least when I was here. He is adding on to the place and creating more seating. He manned the oven and she waited on the tables and I feel like there were some of their children working in the back as well. There are a few other families there with us. One other from our campsite that I noticed when were arriving. I love the fact that the stones for the oven came from the ground right out front of the place while they were digging it up to build the patio. How cool is that?!?!? He told me all about it when I asked if he had built it himself. He hired a mason locally he said. Ok. Pizza hits the table. Wow. I could list 42 adjectives describing how good it was, but you just need to go see for yourself!! Perfect crust though!! Perfect! Do that as fast as you can! Come here by plane, train, auto, snowmobile, tank. Whatever. I even heated up the leftovers on a stone by the fire at the tent. Stupid good leftover too!!! Thank you to the Stones for a great meal and wonderful hospitality!! '26 - 25

Expensive meal, poor execution, and all four of us experienced stomach distress afterward…read more We visited Blaze Brewing in Blue Hill on December 13 for a birthday and left deeply disappointed. Service lacked attention to detail, especially given how quiet the restaurant was. Glasses arrived spotty, flatware mismatched, and a $14 glass of wine smelled strongly of chlorine. No plates were offered for a shared appetizer, and there was no salt and pepper on the table--we had to ask for both. The food did not justify the price. The Caesar salad was far from authentic--soggy, overdressed, and heavy on vinegar. The steak had a significant amount of gristle, and the mushroom/beef gravy had the taste and texture of a commercial product rather than something house-made. Fries were overdone and served in a very small portion. Most concerning, all four of us experienced stomach discomfort and digestive distress within a short time after the meal. For what we paid, we expected much better. This visit was a major disappointment.

We walked over from the main strip of downtown and loved the vibe as soon as we arrived. Walking down the stairs to get to the brewery versus the glass blowing shop was so cute. With apples on the ground from the apple trees, it couldn't be more "Maine". When walking in, you order at the bar for both food and drink and then there is a booth/trailer out back where the food comes out. The inside is set up for open mic night and then outside they have a full stage where they host live music. There is plenty of seating outside at the picnic tables as well. We ordered a couple beers, the Margherita pizza, the potato chips, and the Carrot Top salad. I cannot tell you howwwwwwwww amazing the salad was!! I have never had a salad like this and I ate every last bite. The roasted carrots were so good, combined with the crispy onions and the dressing; it was heaven. The chips were incredible and the dip that comes with it just elevates it that much more. I believe it was a pickle dip of some sort? I can't remember specifically, just that I needed a vat of it. Then the pizza?! We couldn't finish it but man did we want to! Add all this tasty food to a beautiful backdrop and we were the happiest little foodies in Maine. Hands down best stop in Ellsworth!
