We had a full HVAC upgrade and replaced the condenser, cooling unit, vent plates, and duct work. The team started in the morning around 9am or so and finished at about 6pm - for all of the work they had to do and having to access the cooling unit in a tight space in the attic, they accomplished a lot in a day's work. So far, we're very happy with the results and love the parts and service warranty they provide. Everyone was very kind and professional. Highly recommend.

My AC unit stopped working on Saturday. I'd used Frank Gay before and had their maintenance plan,…read moreso I called them. To Frank Gay's credit, they came out quickly and determined that the capacitor had blown. I was relieved because it was an older unit. However, the service tech insisted that my machine needed to be replaced. He said it was in critical condition and showed me the readout. He said it was over-amping and wouldn't last two months. Fortunately, they had a "special" going on for new units. Sounded like a sales pitch so I took a picture of the readout he showed me and uploaded it to ChatGPT. It said not to trust those numbers because they were way off and it looked like the probes were reversed. ChatGPT encouraged me to call someone else. So I did. Chilly Billy's came out today - two days later. The AC guy was named Nas - very easy to talk to and smart. He ran the same tests and determined that while my unit is pretty old - it's working fine. The numbers were well within manufacturer guidelines. They said they would not recommend replacing the unit. So, I learned I can't trust Frank Gay. I cancelled my maintenance membership and found a new HVAC company in Chilly Billy. I'm uploading the photos. One is Frank Gay. The other is Chilly Billy two days later. Trust is a big deal.

To be clear, we have been very happy with the system itself--a two-stage Lennox heat pump that has performed well. Over the past couple of years, we've also had consistently positive experiences with their team; every technician who has come to our home has been professional and great to work with. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was a significant departure from that. When the system failed, they initially couldn't clearly diagnose the issue--which I understand can happen with complex systems. However, I was told they would need to replace the motor for $850 just to see if that resolved it, and if not, the next step would be an additional repair costing over $3,000... on a two-year-old system. While the part itself was under warranty, the $850 labor quote came with no itemized breakdown or explanation--just "that's what we charge to get the job done." When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told someone would contact me promptly. That did not happen. Over the next four days, I had to repeatedly call, only to be told managers were "busy," all while my system was down. Eventually, I spoke with someone filling in--not a full-time manager--who reduced the labor charge to $500, but again could not provide any detail behind the pricing. At that point, I felt I had no real choice but to proceed given the circumstances. The technician who came out was professional and completed the repair in roughly 30 minutes. Despite how quick and straightforward the fix appeared, I was still charged the full $500 with no transparency on how that cost was determined. The system itself is good, and our prior experiences had been positive, which makes this situation even more disappointing. Several things went wrong here, but most concerning were the lack of pricing transparency and the difficulty reaching management--especially during a system outage. That falls well short of what I would expect from a company selling premium systems and service.

I am a brand new customer who purchased the Home Comfort Club agreement on 8/1/2026 and scheduled my first preventative maintenance appointment for 8/8/2026 in an effort to prevent problems with the air conditioning. On 8/8/2026 my appointment was CANCELLED at 2:24 PM after I WAITED ALL DAY for a technician. I received a text message stating: "I'm reaching out regarding your preventative maintenance that is set for today, unfortunately we are unable to make the appointment due to service calls that have come in with units that are not working and need to reschedule your appointment." On 8/8/2024 I rescheduled a new appointment for 8/15/2026. On 8/15/2026 I notified their office that I do have concerns about the performance of the HVAC unit. It is now 6:36 P.M. on 8/15/2026 and no technician has arrived. I have WAITED ALL DAY for a technician. Apparently this company books more appointments than they can service. I am appalled. I find the lack of service shocking.
