Cindy, our planner and driver, was quick to reply to questions in the weeks leading up to our tour weekend, and she gave great recommendations based on what I described about wanting entry-level education about wine and a cider house in between vineyards so we wouldn't be burned out on wine. She recommended Chateau Meichtry and helped me figure out how to sign up for the Chateau's tour of the vineyard, which was exactly the level of information we were looking for! We then went to Reece's Cider House and she even drove my wife across the street to the apple house store because it was hot out and my wife's shoes weren't quite sufficient to walk in tall grass. We ended the day at Engelheim, which was much quieter and more relaxed, which was exactly what we needed to enjoy a conversation quietly while preparing to return home to our kids!
