Though it's a free ocean and an enjoyable fishery perhaps it would serve the fishery as a whole if you educate your customers regarding ediquette while fishing around other folks chasing false albacore and bonito. Please do not: 1. cut off other anglers who are slowly preparing an approach on a school of fish. 2. Please don't race over and jump on schools of fish, it only spooks them and they sound. 3. If another angler is hooked up please don't motor close to the boat hooked up where as they may cut off the hooked fish. Everyone wants to have a good time on the water but it's becoming not a good time. As a part of the community I would hope you would please pass on some sage advice to this new breed of angler. The staff are friendly and accommodating and explain the rules of riding on the rail and how to operate the cart. This is the first time I did a night trail so I was pretty stoked to find out we had a little lights on the carts! The whole trail is about 6 miles long with 3 miles to the halfway point. We got off here and had a campfire with two s'mores per person. We enjoyed 20 to 30 minutes of sitting by the water enjoying a campfire while the rest of the peddlers made their way to the fire pits. However, this time is based on your spot in line. We were probably the sixth cart out of the whole lot. So we were there pretty early and had about 10 to 15 minutes to enjoy before the last cart pulled in. Pedaling back was cool. We did see a lot of wildlife and even spotted a buck on the side of the trail. A little scary knowing the wildlife is that close to you. Overall, I had a very good time, and I will continue to book these tours

It's kid-friendly, we got to stop at a picnic spot with a fire and beautiful views of the water and the Newport bridge. It was easy but exhilarating; definitely a unique experience and I highly recommend. We booked a week in advance. The check in process was seamless. The ride took about an hour and a half with the stop at the picnic spot (there were bathrooms too). There is a parking lot as well. Yes, we would definitely do it again!

I purchased a paddleboard at The Kayak Centre 4 years ago. My experience then (and a few other…read moretimes since then for smaller purchases), was so great that even though I've moved to Cape Cod (1.5 hour drive away), when I was in the market for a kayak, I came back to The Kayak Centre. I called ahead and got excellent information and recommendations, and as I requested, they had the boats I wanted to try available when I came to check them out a couple of days later. I checked the boats out in the store and then did the in-water demo to try one of them out. You do have to pay for this, but I guess it makes sense as a bit of insurance in case you scratch or damage the boat and then don't end up buying it. And if you do buy the boat, they apply it to your total, so if you're serious about making a purchase, it's low-risk. I then looked at several accessories (new paddle, PFD, paddle float, skirt, roof rack, etc) and got a lot of great advice and information. They installed the roof rack I purchased and taught me tips on how to load and unload the boat on my own. Before this trip, I did shop around for a kayak and the attention and service I received at The Kayak Centre - from owner to seasoned employee to new employee to the waterfront staff to the installation guy, the service was amazing. They don't work on commission and are actual paddlers themselves, so you get real information and they customize the tips based on you personally. There were a few accessories that I was unsure about that they actually talked me out of buying. I could not be happier with my purchase and the service I received! I went into the store on a Friday afternoon in June and there was a steady flow of other customers, but I never felt like the staff was too busy or were rushing me. If you have as many questions as I did, I'd recommend avoiding the weekends, especially in the summer, because I'd bet they are really busy!
