A simple entry point to the spring fed, Wallum Lake. This lake has depths of over 80 feet and is purely spring fed. A crystal clear, pristine location to swim, boat, kayak, fish and admire. The canoe launch has a small parking area upon entry. There are enough spots for half a dozen cars or so. They have the entrance to the lake bouldered off, so it is a carry in only without a ramp (my only negative). However, it is a short walk to the water. Easy access with a small boat, kayak or canoe. If you've never visited this lake...do it!! The DEM added a nice sign defining the lake map and depths, along with fish species. Rumor has it there are land locked salmon here...idk? I have caught huge trout and other species of fish. Put down your screen and enjoy the great outdoors!! read more
