They have colorful announcers, live music, a merch table, half time events, program books with pics of all the girls and a section for autographs, photographers, reporters, they have an after party that is open to all the ticket holders, and more. You might think it wouldn't be a family friendly environment, but it is! There are so many families with kids there, and the kids go around asking the skaters for autographs. Really cute. The skaters are real athletes and it isn't some wwf rehearsed show. You can tell the girls are VERY aggressive and take the sport seriously but they aren't rolling around punching each other, it is nothing like that. They have refs that call minor and major penalties. They serve beer/liquor, have a concession stand with food and soft drinks. Also, the ticket prices are VERY reasonable at only $10 a pop. Rhode Island has a total of 3 home teams that only play each other: The Old Money Honey's, Sakonnet River Roller Rats, and Mob Squad. They also have an A team called the Riveters that competes against other states team and a B team called the Killah Bees. The Old Money Honeys are my FAVORITE team. Those girls are all awesome to watch.

Where else do the refs don booty shorts and drink 'Gansetts when on duty? PKL is the "greatest, semi-organized, spectacle of sport in Rhode Island. We get together and throwdown playground-rules kickball every Saturday in the summer, at Dexter Field in the "handsome" section of Providence, RI, for shear glory... and fun." Rain or shine. Free.
