Had a very fun time. Staff were friendly. Don't bother ordering drinks, they tasted terrible. But the tour info was fun, the view was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the experience.

I've recently booked the Evening Voyage with Gansett Cruises through their website for Saturday, August 17, 2024. This was a 60 minute narrated harbor boat tour on Narragansett Bay with a check-in time at 5:05pm, departure time at 5:30pm, and return time at 6:30pm. The Evening Voyage includes a complimentary drink ticket. I had a glass of the Pinot Grigio. Adult (13+) tickets were $45, Senior (65+) tickets were $41, and Children (Infant-12) tickets were $41. I've previously booked the Morning Mimosa Cruise with Gansett Cruises through Viator for Sunday, May 29, 2022. This was a 1.25 hr narrated harbor boat tour on Narragansett Bay with a check-in time at 10:00am, departure time at 10:30am, and return time at 12:00pm. Morning Cruises include complimentary mimosas or orange juice. I had the mimosa. Adult (13+) tickets were $37, Senior (65+) tickets were $34, Children (4-12) tickets were $32, and Children (Infant-3) tickets were $17. You can call in, use a 3rd party like Viator, or use their website directly to reserve tickets. Through the website, gratuity is a required field (you can choose none, 15%, 18%, 20%, 25%). Check-in is at 2 Bowen's Landing in Newport, RI. At the check-in time, I told the attendant my name and she gave us a boarding pass. Boarding was on time and very easy. The Gansett is a private yacht with an open deck plan and comfortable cushioned seating. The boat was very clean. The cruise tour guide talked about yachts, gilded age mansions, lighthouses, Fort Adams, Goat Island, and so much more. The cruise was close to shore and there were great views of Newport's coastline. Both tours were unforgettable experiences aboard the Gansett. The tour guides were very informative. There is also a cash bar if you want additional drinks. It is definitely worth it.

Good overall. Couldn't really hear the guide, don't know if it was a speaker issue or whatnot but wasn't a huge deal. I made do. Didn't really like the fact they have you pre-tip when you register at 15,18 or 20 percent. You can pick none, but I'd rather had waited to see how it was then decided on how much I wanted to tip, so I also could tip any amount instead of specified amounts. I'm not anti-tiping but I would've been more comfortable with a couple bucks then 5. While the tour was good, it still felt a little lacking. Not bad, mind you, but just felt unfulfilled. I'd recommend it, but for cautiously.

The Gansett sunset cruise was a great experience. Our guides were experts about any Newport history we wanted to know. They also went out of their way to make sure all guests got several sunset pictures. On this tour, you receive a drink ticket as well. Highly recommend this tour to experience a sunset out in the beautiful blue waters!

The views from this sunset cruise are unmatched. My wife and I have done numerous sunset cruises in different parts of the world but we will always remember this one. The crew were knowledgeable in answering everyone's questions, and made it a fun experience. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a nice relaxing boat ride with phenomenal views.

This 90 minute cruise was so much fun! A great way to spend some time in Newport. Our guide Patrick was awesome, he was funny and VERY informative. He knew everything about everything. The boat ride was very smooth especially for some of the waves we took on. We went in the middle of may and it was pretty windy so bring a jacket for sure. The coffee milkshake was delicious. There were so many really cool sights we got to see, I highly recommend this for your Newport trip

A great 90-minute tour through the harbor and bay, with an excellent tour guide pointing out specific boats and mansions along the water. Very informative, very pleasant, and we did the sunset cruise so even had a champagne toast. Cash bar is available for soft drinks, cocktails, and local beers.

I was looking for something different to do and came across America's Cup Charters. We opted for the daily 2-hour ticketed sail. Our 12 meter yacht was the 12 US 17 Weatherly, which is a legend and one of the three surviving wooden America's Cup defenders in the world. Bruce, Erica (the skipper), James, and Rebecca were super nice and extremely knowledgeable about the boat, sailing, history, and landmarks in the area. Erica had great command of the vessel and was able to make things fun while still ensuring the safety of everyone on board. Due to Covid-19, America's Cup Charter is limiting the number of people included in each tour and requires everyone to keep their mask on. I felt completely comfortable the whole time. I highly recommend the private charter and daily ticketed sail.

I was visiting Newport and had some free time and booked easily on line a seat on a sailing charter…read more. Well... it poured rain prior ... but weather cleared and we went out on schedule 5:30. Excellent value and experience. The Captain was a retired history teacher and his son and daughter were the crew . Excellent people, friendly , knowledgeable of Newport,America cup details, who owns which yachts docked , and made sure everyone had a great time, helped hoist sails, do the grinding, steer boat. I have been on larger sailboats and this boat the Wetherly was smaller and required work by some people on boat and actually taught people how things work during a sail. There was a full group of people and some young kids and it was fun to see how much one boy knew more than I and others about sailing. The kid was infectious how much he was enjoying himself with his Dad ....everyone enjoyed questions, answers, and after 2 hours ; I felt like we were all friends for a long time... The knowledge of the island , the yachts, history of the waterfront houses was truly quite interesting. The son and crew member Teddy was highly respectful of all and the Captain'scDaughter clearly both knew their stuff. The water views at sunset were worth trip alone... what more can I say... easy booking on website ... no drama . Even assured refunds or reschedule if sail was rained out... very fair and reputable. What more can I say ; but anyone visiting Newport should include a sail with this professional run operation. I'll go again in heartbeat and already planning my next Newport visit and another sail with this company.

For starters, THEY HAVE A DOG AND HER NAME IS TOLA AND SHE IS SO CUTE AND FRIENDLY AND SO SOFT??? So we were immediately off to a great start. Then, Kiki gives us our safety briefing which was quick, thorough, and punctuated with a round of rum punch that she brought to all of the guests. Kiki really came in clutch with some fabulous Kate Chastain energy (for those of you who don't watch Below Deck - that means she's fabulous, gorgeous, friendly, and very good at her job) and she took such great care of us. The ship itself is a beautiful and impressive double-masted catamaran that we got to learn about during our voyage. The bean bags all over the main deck were SO comfy, they had blankets to keep us warm when the wind picked up, and the deck had two big cutouts that were covered with this neat rope-rigging that was woven tight enough that there was no danger of falling through but loose enough that we got to see the water right below us! We dropped anchor in a super cute little bay where we hung out, took pictures, enjoyed drinks and a very nicely-arranged charcuterie board, and even though the water was freezing Kiki brought out the "Lily Pad" which is basically a giant floating mat we could all sit on/hang off of in the water while we paddled around! Can't say enough good things about Kiki who was so fun and brought such a lovely vibe, and even took our phones to get pictures and videos of all of us having fun so that we could be present and engaged with each other! If you want a five star sailing experience in Newport, do yourself a favor and book with Heron Luxury!!

I was a victim of racism/racial profiling while vacationing in Rhode Island. Here is my story:…read more I booked a private yacht through a company called Brady Yachting. I told the Captain ‍ Mike that I would be bringing along my 15 year old sister and my 3 year old son. He said it was fine. I spoke with the captain several times on the phone and via email 2 days before, the day before and the day of the ride. First of all, he expressed how he knew for a fact that I couldn't afford the $350 yacht ride. He kept reciting this over and over to me. I was very upset because the hair that's currently on my head is over $500. My baby shower was over $10,000 and I can afford pretty much whatever I want. Just because I am a Black/African American woman doesn't mean that I'm broke and can't afford a lil $350 yacht ride. I was and still am very appalled. It's plenty of African Americans making 6 figures and making more than their Caucasian friends. Caucasians aren't the only bread winners in the world. I would never judge someone over the phone, just because of the color of their skin/race. Then he went on to criticize my name and ask me if he could call me something else for short because he didn't "care" for my name. He asked me "what kind of name is that?" and "why did me and my sister have the same name? (my sister's name has one letter different than mines). I said a quick prayer because I didn't want to go on a yacht with a racist bigot. The Lord heard my prayer and at the very end Captain ‍ Mike canceled my trip. His excuse was that I wasn't truthful to him. He said I never told him I was bringing my 3 year old son. Which was a bald fact lie I told him I was bringing my son from the start, I even asked him was the yacht kid friendly? ‍ he also stated that he was a reverend. God would never call a prejudice person to do His work. You have to love ALL people to be a Christian and do God's work. I would never recommend Captain Mike/Brady Yachting to anyone. I don't condone unprofessionalism, racist, ignorant behavior.
