I wish I would have done more research because Captain Mike is 100% a scam artist!!! Do not book!…read moreHe said he would be in Boston to provide a sunset sailing in May 2019 and then the week of my vacation he said he would only be in Rhode island at the time I specifically told him I'd be on vacation. He said he would mail me a check for refund and has been avoiding me ever since! I'm still disputing the charge with my bank! Unbelievable!! I can't believe he's still in business!

I was a victim of racism/racial profiling while vacationing in Rhode Island. Here is my story:…read more I booked a private yacht through a company called Brady Yachting. I told the Captain ‍ Mike that I would be bringing along my 15 year old sister and my 3 year old son. He said it was fine. I spoke with the captain several times on the phone and via email 2 days before, the day before and the day of the ride. First of all, he expressed how he knew for a fact that I couldn't afford the $350 yacht ride. He kept reciting this over and over to me. I was very upset because the hair that's currently on my head is over $500. My baby shower was over $10,000 and I can afford pretty much whatever I want. Just because I am a Black/African American woman doesn't mean that I'm broke and can't afford a lil $350 yacht ride. I was and still am very appalled. It's plenty of African Americans making 6 figures and making more than their Caucasian friends. Caucasians aren't the only bread winners in the world. I would never judge someone over the phone, just because of the color of their skin/race. Then he went on to criticize my name and ask me if he could call me something else for short because he didn't "care" for my name. He asked me "what kind of name is that?" and "why did me and my sister have the same name? (my sister's name has one letter different than mines). I said a quick prayer because I didn't want to go on a yacht with a racist bigot. The Lord heard my prayer and at the very end Captain ‍ Mike canceled my trip. His excuse was that I wasn't truthful to him. He said I never told him I was bringing my 3 year old son. Which was a bald fact lie I told him I was bringing my son from the start, I even asked him was the yacht kid friendly? ‍ he also stated that he was a reverend. God would never call a prejudice person to do His work. You have to love ALL people to be a Christian and do God's work. I would never recommend Captain Mike/Brady Yachting to anyone. I don't condone unprofessionalism, racist, ignorant behavior.

We took a couple's trip to Boston in August to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday. We were tested…read morefor COVID prior to our arrival, because the state required a negative test results at least 72 hours prior to your trip. Weeks before the trip, I searched for fishing charters near our Air BNB. We had visited New England before, so we knew that Rhode Island was the best state for us to fish. After very lengthy search, I finally stumbled upon the Fish'n Tales website. What first drew me to this fishing charter was the price. Other charters were charging ridiculously high prices, but Fish'n Tales was very reasonably priced. Second, I noticed the very favorable reviews and testimonies. After running the company by my other travel companions I quickly secured our booking for 7am Saturday morning. We arrived to the dock at 6:45am, the requested time, and were immediately greeted by the crew. We were required to wear our masks to embark on the boat, but were able to take them off once we selected our spot on the boat. My party consisted of eight people and their was another ten people on the boat, this included the three man crew. The boat was very spacious, so my party was able to have one half of the boat to ourselves. The crew was professional, friendly and very helpful. They were also very accommodating. The birthday boy indulged just a little bit too much the night before and suffered from a bout of motion sickness. The crew was very understanding and provided us with complimentary waters to keep him hydrated. The crew was also very knowledgeable, explaining to basics of fishing and the types of fish that we would catch that morning. By the end of the trip, which was four hours long, we caught about 6 fish, including the beautiful bass pictured in this review. The charter also filleted our fish and bagged them in ice for the ride back to Boston. If you ever visit New England and are in search of a great charter, search no further, Fish'n Tales is it!

I went for this trip on a Wednesday on October. It was almost the last fishing trip for this year…read more They need around 6 people to schedule a trip. Initially when I called that number was not achieved. But on the day before they gave me a call back and said there are enough people now. So I scheduled my trip. Because there was a good amount of traffic in the road, I almost missed the trip. Plan to reach there well ahead of time. The boat does NOT wait for more than 5 - 10 minute past the scheduled time. This is the fist time ever I was going on a fishing trip. So I was a bit nervous. But the trip was a lot of fun. It was just 7 people fishing in the boat. So there was a lot of individual attention given to us. Fishing rods and baits were provided. So I didn't have to bring anything to the trip. The rod was of trolling type. It was easy to operate. Plus they give very good instructions. Cut up octopus was the bait. I didn't want to touch the octopus. So they put the bait for me every time I wanted to. Boat stops at different spots and give you a time window to try fishing. Mostly what we were catching was black sea bass. There were some porgies too. Most of the fish (may be 10 out of 11) we caught was below legal size. So we had to throw them back. Finally we took 1 black sea bass and 1 porgy home. Another awesome thing is they clean and fillet the fish for you. If you like the skin off, they will neatly remove the skin as well. Also they pack the fish in zip lock cover with ice cubes. I fried the fish. It was the freshest tasting fish I ever had in my life. At least to taste fresh fish, I will be going for more fishing trips. Make sure to take atleast a wind breaker jacket. If the weather is colder, a puffer jacket is advisable. Sea water may get sprayed inside the boat. When deciding clothing and what to take to the boat, keep that in mind. Defenitely don't forget sunscreen and sunglass. A sun hat may be good too. I went for the 3 hour fishing trip. Time just flew by. I wish there was a 4 hour trip.
