We reserved a…read morecampsite at the track and arranged to have the trailer delivered and hooked, we just show up and enjoy a great weekend! I've done this in other cities (Pomona, Las Vegas, Denver) and have always had great experiences but Thomas RV left me feeling less than satisfied. The trailer was old and less than pristine, broken trim, less than professional patch job in the shower, just generally pretty run down (you will NOT find a photo of the trailer I rented anywhere on their website). But the kicker was when the carbon monoxide monitor went off the first time the water heater was turned on. I'll come back to the drag races in Charlotte but I won't be renting from Thomas ever again.

We even had an issue trying to get the TV to work when we got to our destination and we called and they fixed it over the phone with us. Incredible customer service and the next time we have to rent from Joe we definitely will only rent from them. Even the drop off was veryyyyyy easy and quick. Sprinter RV is a great choice to meet our needs as a cruising vehicle 2. Garrett did a very thorough walk thru and training session before our departure 3. When my fiancé and I moved into our current home, we paid nearly $4,000 in move-in costs and were told the property was "as is." When we arrived, the house had mice, mouse droppings, strong foul odors, and had clearly not been cleaned. This was nowhere near the standard or expectation a tenant should reasonably have when moving into a home. Fast-forward to helping my grandmother relocate from Florida to North Carolina into another home managed by this company. The upstairs smelled like a farm, one bedroom had severe stains, and there was a strong odor consistent with cat urine and feces. Despite being told the home had been cleaned, it was obvious that very little if anything had actually been done. If we hadn't been under such a tight timeline to secure housing for my grandmother, we would not have moved her into this property or chosen to work with this company at all. Charging thousands of dollars --including a security deposit -- while providing homes in this condition is unacceptable. What is the purpose of a security deposit if the property is not even cleaned prior to move-in? Based on both of these experiences, I would absolutely not recommend FirstKey Homes. Other companies such as American Homes 4 Rent and Tricon have proven to be far more reliable and tenant-focused. This company appears to prioritize profit over basic standards of cleanliness and livability.

We were able to speak with the owner twice; both times she gave excuses for the deposit refund delay. They ignored subsequent phone calls after that. We are out our deposit as "they have no assets".
