We have never driven or ever been in an RV till we rented one from Joe and his team. There were 2 families and it was smooth sailing from booking the reservation to picking the RV up and them explaining what every was and did. We even had an issue trying to get the TV to work when we got to our destination and we called and they fixed it over the phone with us. Incredible customer service and the next time we have to rent from Joe we definitely will only rent from them. Even the drop off was veryyyyyy easy and quick. My wife and I and two other couples rented the Sprinter RV from Luxury RV rentals for a 9 day trip and we could not have been more satisfied with all aspects of the experience for the following reasons: 1. Sprinter RV is a great choice to meet our needs as a cruising vehicle 2. Garrett did a very thorough walk thru and training session before our departure 3. Larry and Joe where professional and reasonable during the rental negotiations 4. When we had some minor operational issues during our trip, they all offered solutions in a timely manner 5. This is the final email I sent the owner about our horrible experience with Luxury RVs - after I had tried calling and emailing several times to discuss our experience. I never received a response or call-back from him. I normally reserve negative reviews for the worst of the worst - unfortunately, our experience with this company fits that description. ---------- Hi Joe, I expected to receive a call from you by now regarding the issues we had with our rental that frankly made our trip miserable (Freedom Express, 11/20-22). We had two major issues, which are both documented on our checkout form and from my understanding, reported to you by Larry and another female employee as well: 1. Carbon Monoxide Detector - The detector went off every 15 minutes even when the generator was not on and oddly/inconveniently only in the middle of the night. As you know, these alarms are very loud by design so we were not able to sleep at all as we had to get up every 15 minutes to press the reset button (which seemed to turn it off after 15 seconds when pressed bu​t not stay off for the night). We checked the detector and it said it should be replaced in 2005, meaning it is TEN YEARS passed scheduled replacement - that is extremely inconvenient (when it malfunctions and goes off unnecessarily) and unsafe (should there actually be toxic levels of carbon monoxide). Under normal circumstances, this would be a major issue; however, I am pregnant so the lack of sleep caused by the defective monitor (not to mention the extra anxiety at the unsafe conditions) made for miserable nights and long days. We were unable to book any hotel room in the area as it was VT's coach's last home game and sold out for months - though we would have paid the exorbitant costs to get a good night's sleep. 2. Oven - The pilot light was broken and therefore the oven would not work. We looked up YouTube videos of this oven model to troubleshoot on our own and finally called Larry for help who was very nice and genuine in wanting to help us but ultimately was not able to. This ruined our tailgate as all of the food I was preparing was unable to be cooked (neither stovetop nor microwave would have worked as these things had to be baked). One of the primary reasons we planned this RV trip was to have the RV tailgate experience; however, we had to completely change our plans and go downtown to eat/tailgate - a HUGE disappointment and on top of no sleep, the epitome of adding insult to injury. We also had to throw away a lot of unused food as we could not take it back with us on our flight. Additionally, the name "Luxury RVs" is a complete misnomer as I'm confident the RV had never been properly cleaned. The bathroom was the most disgusting facility I've seen - including port-a-pots: there were human feces left in the toilet, urine stains on the toilet and floor, hairs everywhere, and grime all over the sink. I spent two hours not only scrubbing the bathroom but wiping down every surface of the RV (and storing the comforter which was covered in gross stains). I'm sure it was in the best condition it's been in in a long time when we returned it. Overall, our experience was horrible. Your employees were very nice, including the guy (I forget his name) who met us Sunday morning for checkout; however, your lack of response to our issues is really disappointing and just plain unprofessional - especially after Larry assured me two times and the other lady I spoke with promised as well that you would call when you got back to the office to talk to me about these issues and see what you could do to compensate us (his words). I waited until after Thanksgiving figuring that you would be busy with the holiday and/or taking time off, but it's been almost two weeks; I'd like a response. read more

I am writing about the experience I had with Luxury RV Rentals this past weekend. I would say I am writing a review of the service and experience using their RV's but that never happened. For the past two weeks I had an RV 'reserved' with Sonya at Luxury RV Rentals for a client coming for the race at CMS. The service by Sonya to reserve the unit and the communication was great. She was very attentive and responsive. We planned on renting the Class A motorhome from Thursday to Sunday, with the client arriving Thursday afternoon. I communicated with Sonya about coming in and having it set up for Thursday and she even communicated with me that the unit would be all set on Thursday AM. Having not heard from the person setting up the RV all day, I was getting ready to go to the RV at the track to check on the unit when I got a call from their technician stating that there was an issue with the slide out motor and they could not get the unit to the track yet. So at this point, when we were suppose to already have the RV unit all set, I only get a call at 6PM to notify me about the issue (the unit was suppose to be set up and ready to go a little after noon). Voicing my concern with the technician, I asked what thy would be doing if they could not get this RV working again. I was told they have a older Class A (would not fit the sleeping arrangements needed) or a Class C (much smaller unit than what was needed)...I told them those would not be suitable and that they need to find a replacement considering it was the day of supposed deliver and it was 6PM. I was told they will work on the RV motor and get back to me in 2 hours with an update. At 8:40PM I texted the employee for an update. His response by text (not a phone call) was the following: "Unfortunately the Miramar will not be available due to the slide issues. i apologize for this inconvenience for you and your client. The only option left is the Class C Four Winds and I really don't know if it would work for their situation and the sleeping arrangements that they would like. On another note, your clients credit card was not charged. Thomas RV rentals or RV Rentals of the Carolinas may be an option. So sorry that this is the situation." So there we have it, in summary I am being told, "Sorry I am telling you at 9;10PM on the day that you were suppose to have this RV, but it isn't in working order and we don't have a replacement for you that is suitable and since it is not our problem...I mean your credit card was not charged...here are two companies that aren't open at the present hour and most likely sold out because this is a major race weekend. Nothing we can do, you are out of luck." I responded by text asking him to call me along with 5 phone calls and two voicemails. NOTHING! At 9:45 I get a voicemail back saying that they will bring the smaller unit in its place after I told them they need to do something. I had clients coming and needed anything at this point. In the morning I left three voicemails at the office between 8AM and 10AM, and no return phone call. I called the employee that I had been talking to the night before and he said that he talked to "the owners" and that they are not responsible since there was no agreement which is completely false. I had a contract with a deposit, along with an email stating that I could not "cancel the reservation because of weather, instead they would give me a credit to use another time". That email states and agreement, whether they believe it or not. If you aren't going to let me out of the "reservation" prior to the weekend, then it was an agreement. In the end I found another company to help and provide a Class A as promised. I still have not heard from this company about the issue other then the technician. I would NOT give this company even an inquiry call about their services...very unprofessional in an industry that reputation is everything. read more

Complaint against: Luxury RV Rentals 6940 Victory Lane Circle Concord NC 28027 832-736-8781 980-298-7120 Joe Gallo Owner 704-345-7600 My wife and I with our children and grandchildren, rented an RV from the above company from 7/282016 to 8/1/2016. We paid $1,746 plus insurance $170, for the 4 day rental. Upon picking up the vehicle it was noted that we would need a step stool to get up into the large RV since the steps were broken and tied up underneath. Once on our trip, we turned on the water pump to use the water and the toilet only to discover the floor flooded. We noticed someone had tried to bandage the leak and put a small bucket behind the toilet. Consequently we turned the pump off and were unable to use any water. In addition, the RV was obviously not cleaned with garbage in the sink, the fridge and freezer kept flying open hitting my wife in the head. But the worst and most dangerous was inoperable windshield wipers in a rain storm across 4 states at night, causing us to pull over until it stopped raining, turning an 11 hour trip into almost 18 hours. Once at our destination we could not sleep in the RV without the use of water and had to rent a hotel room for 2 nights at a cost $358. I contacted the company and was told they could not authorize any repairs and would repair the RV when we return. On 8/1/2016, the manager of the RV rental said that he would contact the owner and get back to us. When he did not call us, I called back on 8/5/2016 and was told the owner would not reimburse us and gave us his phone number. At a minimum we would like to be reimbursed for the hotel room and an apology from the owner who has not returned our call that we made on 8/5/2016 and left a detailed message. Filed this complaint with the Charlotte BBB and the owner has not responded to the BBB to date. read more

The rates may be below the competition but you certainly get what you pay for here. The owner/only employee in the office was never available. He was unable to show us an RV prior to rental just a picture online. When the day came to rent the RV he was not in the office and his "partner" or uncle maybe was cleaning another RV and simply said oh he is still sleeping. The group I was traveling with waited around until his mother who worked in the same strip mall came over and actually woke the "owner" up. Now all this would have been fine had the process completed in a normal fashion. The credit card after the rental was charged a month after rental. I fought the charges and a letter was written back by the company in a very unprofessional manner stating things that were untrue and resorted to name calling. The card had to be cancelled in fear of more surprise charges. read more

I too have been waiting weeks to hear back from the Owner Joe about a deposit fee that was charged to me for not emptying the waste tanks, and for returning the RV dirty, both of which was not the case. We had just dumped the waste across the street at Tom Johnson's, and then spent the next hour cleaning the RV up to the point it was much cleaner when we dropped it off then we picked it up. The RV was good and we enjoyed the trip, but the weeks after I have spent attempting to contact Joe by Email, Cell phone and Text are horrible. This company by far has the worst customer service around, and I would not rent anything from them. Below is the final email I sent them: I am still waiting to hear back as to why I was charged for returning a RV with full waste tanks and it dirty, when I did not. I did not speak with a Garrett or a Dave when I returned the RV on Sunday, as no one was there when I dropped it off at 2 PM, I spoke with Sonya on the phone and she said the guy was out on a maintenance call and to leave the keys under the floor mat in the RV. I know the tanks were empty when I dropped it off because I dumped them across the street at Tom Johnsons, and filled up the fresh water. I then cleaned the RV, topped off the fuel and propane, and returned it. You must be getting me confused with someone else that might have rented it before. I picked it up on Wednesday June 22nd. It had 3/4 tank of gas when I picked it up and the panel showed the black waste tank was at 1/2 full, but they said when I picked it up that the gauge was not right and it was empty, so my guess is that who ever had the marimer before me was the one that talked to Garret and Dave about not dumping it and it was really still 1/2 full when I picked it up and not empty based on this. I do not appreciated being charged for something I did not do, and it angers me that I have sent and email yesterday, and called and texted Joe and have not received any response as of yet. Luxury rv rentals is a joke. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. They lie, cheat and steal. A registered letter was sent to rv rentals in plenty of time to cancel our reservations because of a hospitalization. However, because Joe Gallo, "president" of luxury rv rentals chose not to pick up the letter from the post office until AFTER the cancellation date he refused to give back our rental fee of $15,000. Since that time, I have discovered that not only did rv rentals move out of their offices in the middle of the night, the sheriff is continually trying to locate him. Mr Gallo has been arrested 35+ times, he will not return your calls but he will take your money. I also know that people who own the rvs/vehicles are trying to locate him as well as the other renters that have been either left on the side of the road with his unsafe rvs or have been ripped off by him. I WAS ONE OF THE OWNERS of the rv that was being rented, i took my case to court, to get back ownership of my RV in October 2016 (Joe was a NO SHOW). my RV was being rented out, but i NEVER receive any payments or cashflow sheets in a year and half. i could never get in touch w/ joe (the owner) and had a 2yr contract w/ his business, but was able to get in touch w/ other employee after 5 to 10 calls. when i received my rv back i had SOOOO much damange do on it, the rv was unsuitable to ride. i can not get any feed back from anyone at Luxury RV Renter office after this. Luxury RV advertises through their website (luxuryrvforrent.com) that they are looking for Owners RV's to enter into their rental fleet. Through their Rental Agreement I entered my RV into their fleet. Luxury RV took my RV into their possession on June 07 2015. As of today May 19, 2016 Luxury RV has not complied with contractually obligated articles, commission payouts nor rental performance report submissions. Per the Rental Agreement they were supposed to send me a copy of rental performance on a quarterly basis and a commission check each month. Every communiqué I make with them through email regarding these matters is never answered. Communication through phone is impossible since the owner has his mailbox full and will not return calls. The promised dates for reporting and commissions come and go with a constant hassle to get a hold of anyone. When I am lucky enough to have someone answer the business line I'm told "I'm sorry that the owner is doing this to you". I certainly do not want any other unsuspecting person to fall in this trap. read more
