Fantastic food, fast service, and awesome view!

Not what it used to be since re-opening under new ownership. This used to be one of the best places in RI for fried whole belly clams and lobster rolls. Not anymore. At our most recent visit (and we won't be returning) the clams were small and chewy, and the lobster roll was overly salty and not that big for $29. The butternut squash was underwhelming, and even the dinner rolls weren't warm and fresh like they used to be. It's a shame that we're unable to return to the Crow's Nest we fondly remember--one with great New England charm and such a long history of providing quality food at a good price. read more

Great food, prices are very reasonable , friendly staff. Nice location right near the water.

Went out for dinner and the hotel I was staying at recommend eating here. They said it was a local spot which is all I eat at when I travel. (Well at least the first few times until I know the area lol) service was ok. The lady serving me didn't seem that into wanting to be there. Other than that the food came out quick w/o any issues. Don't eat the bread or soup that comes with it because you won't have room for everything.lol The food tasted great and I will definitely be back to try the lobster Roll! read more

Long long wait, but worth it. Mostly. I visited the Crow's Nest with my parents on a Sunday evening. We called several hours ahead for 7pm, but still had to wait outside for over half an hour past our reservation. We were seated at one of the tables near the bar, which was unfortunate because it was very loud, and bar patrons kept hovering extremely close to our table, to the point where one attempted to lean against our chairs. The food was delicious (although the mashed potatoes were definitely made from instant flakes) and came out in a reasonable time given how busy it was, but the noise and the bar patrons ruined it. Overall, if you can go when it's not busy or can get a more private table, it's a superb experience. Sadly, the other patrons are the downfall here, not the restaurant. read more

We had the baked seafood platter, veal, key lime pie, and lemon chello pie. The waiter (Derick) did a great job!!! read more

Crows Nest is overrated, too long of a wait for food that is mediocre, My husband and I had a cup of the New England clam chowder which had more potatoes than clams, taste was ok, my linguini with clams with the red sauce was so watery, the fish and chips, too much batter on the fish, more fish please. The only thing we really enjoyed was the steamers. Needs updating and cleaning. The elder lady at the front desk was not very welcoming or friendly, remember there are no second chances to make a great first impression. read more

Service was excellent, the seafood platter was cooked to perfection. Clam chowder was creamy and full of flavor. The clam fritters actually had clams in it. I will be going to it again read more

We were on a road trip and was our first time in RI. Stumbled upon this gem of a seafood place. Everyone in my group enjoyed their chowder. I opted for the broiled scallops and vegetables They're both equally delicious. Our server was polite and nice too. If I wasn't lactose intolerant, I would've ordered the chowder as well. We will definitely be back when we are in RI again. read more

Crows Nest is without a doubt one of my absolute favorite go-to restaurants. Whether I want a quick lunch like some chowder and stuffies or a great dinner like lobster ravioli it NEVER disappoints! The staff is always so friendly and right on top things! Its always great to be able to go to a local place and get great service from the moment I walk in to the moment I leave. Dont forget to pair your meal with the specialty drink! I 10/10 would recommend. P.S. they have take out also! read more

A big disappointment. Undercooked clam cakes, tasteless scrod, scallops and cole slaw, two small entrees, no drinks, luncheon bill was $37.00. Loud crowd, will not be back. read more

Great seafood with great service. Small portions were perfect and reasonable. Our favorite in the area

I cannot recommend this place enough. I needed a reservation for 11 to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. I was able to make the reservation online with a credit card. I was able to arrive early to set up the table. The staff had a birthday message and cute decorations waiting for us when we got there. Our server, Barbara, was fantastic. The food tasted great. Everything was perfect. read more

Crows nest food is as good as I remember I'm glad they open again I had their seafood which means platter for Mother's Day it was awesome

Not sure why this place gets so many rave reviews. Maybe because the majority of the clients looked to be from a nursing home. We ordered the baked stuffed lobster and were really looking forward to eating them. They were large, but that was the only thing going for them. The seafood stuffing was made from canned shrimp and imitation crab meat! Pretty disgusting, but the worst part was that the tails were half raw, inedible. Our dinners with 2 glasses of wine came to $170! And we couldn't even eat them. In the end I brought them home, cleaned them out and gave them to my chickens. They at least loved the meal. read more

Clam Chowder is excellent fish is always fresh sometimes a wait for a table but always had a good meal with good service

Never a bad meal! This is our go to place. Good food for the money! Deidra is a great waitress and we love sitting at a table in the lounge! The tuna tower is a must. The Caesar salad was awesome! Got a gift card for this place so we went. Sat by the bar area which was nice. It was chilly in there though. Called ahead for a reservation on a Friday night. Glad I called. Our server was very friendly and polite. Always saying thank you after every interaction. Had the cup of chowder and half of lobster roll. It came with fries. Everything was delicious. The roll had chunks of lobster and not a lot of mayo. We asked for the fries be cooked well and they were perfect. The soup was hot and flavorful. Prices were within reason. Will be back!! read more

Second visit today. Was seated at a high top in the bar area. Our Server name was Kaitlyn. Terrific attitude service and smile. The bartender made a great drink. Very good food. Extremely loud in the restaurant. A little pricey but food made up for that.

Looks nice. The restaurant is on the water. We were looking for lobster. Yuck! Stuffed lobster, overpriced. Stuffing tasted like stove top. Salad was boring. Broccoli was mush. read more

I can't say enough about how we were treated here. My mother died and we had to find a place without having any idea how many might show in 2 days time. We told them 35. They graciously accommodated the 51 who showed up. The service was beyond excellent. The food was great. They went above and beyond in everything: high chairs, wheelchairs, walkers. A great big thank you to a great place and staff!! We will be back often. It was my mom's favorite. read more

Great food, great service, close to the airport, what more can you ask for? I stop here every time I come to this area. The fresh baked rolls were heavenly. It is one of the best restaurants in the area, very good service, very friendly staff, the food is delicious

My first time to Rhode Island and we found this searching on Yelp. My mother got the scallops, which she said were delicious. My daughter and partner both got the fish and chips and said it was some of the best fish they have ever eaten. However, I wanted to try a couple of things I have never had so I got the clam cakes and stuffed quahog. They were absolutely delicious. I also got the New England clam chowder and it was the best I have ever eaten. We liked it so much we are going back for dinner this evening! read more

We came upon the Crow's Nest almost by chance this evening. My wife and I live part time in the Warwick area and we are still getting to know some of the restaurants in the area. The Crow's Nest features a very pleasant setting across from a marina with both indoor spaces festooned with aquariums, as well as outdoor seating, and a large outdoor bar area. We were incredibly pleasantly surprised with our experience here. We did not have a reservation but the Hostess seated us within two minutes at a table outside, which was our preference. The wait staff was superb and the drinks were inventive and beautifully made. We can't say enough good things about the food. The Portuguese stuffy's and the grilled tuna are not to be missed. The lobster ravioli was among the best versions of this dish that I've ever had. The overall vibe is terrific, and the service was fantastic from the hostess all the way through to the wait staff. we were totally happy with our experience and we will be back read more

food was delicious but noise level was unbearable. Could talk. Could hear. Won't be Back until acoustics are fixed

great food. great service. beautiful venue. junior was a great waiter. it's one of my favorite Warwick restaurants

It's back with a new flair! Great food and happy, attentive staff. Love the new look-especially the fish tank-can't wait to go back!

I recently took my family to dine at the Crows Nest for a small celebration. I made a reservation since I have heard they typically have a wait. I reccommend making a reservation since the restaurant was very full with quite a line by the time we were finished dining. The decor is an old New England charming. The floors are crooked and the dining room has a fireplace with round tables overlooking the water. There are smaller rooms with tables as well. We were seated right away on our arrival. Our food was very good I had one of the seafood specials which was perfect. Overall our service was OK, we did have to ask a couple of times for things, but we did eventually get what we needed. They did make some substitutions without any issues, which is always greatly appreciated. Overall the food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I will definately go back and would reccommend the Crow's Nest. read more

We went on a Sunday evening and after reading my fellow Yelpers, made sure to get there early (5pm). Good call, we only had a 5 minute wait (by the time we left, holy cow there was a line!) Server was 5 stars all the way. She was awesome. Friendly but with some teasing/attitiude - just right for us. love. Place did have a fair share of older folks, but also lots of families with kids, so a good mix. Nice family vibe. Great views of the harbor, so try to sit at the windows if you can. Food was mostly very good with a few mehs thrown in just to keep this from being a lovefest 5 star review. Items to try: Calamari app - hands down some of the best we've had in RI. Clamcakes - yummy turkey dinner - real turkey, real good Meh: Baked seafood dinner - not bad, but the fish and scallops were buried under a pile of crumbs...just kinda offputting Fish and chips - I expected this to be a standout and it wasn't. The fish was soft but not in a good way...it was almost mushy. It didn't taste off or bad so I didn't send it back, but I've had so much better elsewhere. On other tables the chicken pot pie looked AMAZING as did the lobstah roll. We'll definitely go back and try some of those dishes (but trust me, my hubbie is getting that calamari again!). read more

Stop # 13 The Crow's Nest has the Red Lobster motif complete with fishing rods and pictures of the sea and sea creatures. Of course, being by the waterfront lends a great deal of credibility to this place. The Crow's Nest is a good place to eat but hardly the famed seafood shacks that New England's famous for. The steamers are very tasty - dip to wash and you're good to go. I like it because its simple with the mere addition of garlic, white wine, herbs, and salt. However, I have mixed feelings about the fixings. There's an eerie feeling that the beets are probably canned and the mashed potatoes perhaps instant. Maybe I'm thinking too much but it seems overcooked, lacking in cream, or perhaps it was sitting out too long. With regards to the lobster, stick with the steamed option instead of the broiled option. The breading is tasty but it smothers the lobster. After all, isn't that what you're paying for? Broiling a lobster drys it out more and loses a lot of the flavor in the process. Stick with simple, fresh seafood and you can't go wrong. Also, don't expect a sophisticated wine list. The Crow's Nest is rather pedestrian with its Kendal Jacksons and Yellow Tail. Overall, I enjoyed the meal but I'm not convinced its the best seafood that New England has to offer. Note: In February of 2009, Cindy and I embarked on a 48-hour eating tour around the greater Boston area. I called it the Boston Masticare - a bad pun off the Italian transitive verb "to chew." I had high hopes for Crows Nest- hidden away in a marina and right in the water, their location is gorgeous. But when I stepped inside and sat down, it was a flashback to an Jersey diner- and not really a good one. The staff here was very nice. They were lovely and took great care of us. The food, on the other hand, is mediocre at best. We started off with some clam chowder and clam cakes. The chowder was fine, if a little underseasoned, but the clam cakes were dense and mostly bread- there was hardly and clam. But they didn't taste bad, just okay. Then we had the clams casino. That was easily the worst dish I've had in a while- the whole thing was mush. Literally, I took it out of the shell and it was pure mush. It tasted a little sour, and we sent it back right away. Our server was apologetic and took it off our bill without our asking. Finally, for our meals I had the lobster roll and my boyfriend had the fried seafood dinner. Mine was okay. The fries were crispy and the lobster took was alright, if a little uninspired. His was a step down- everything was fried alright, but it was bland. Neither was worth the price they were charging- $20 for his and $17 for mine. Overall, the staff is nice, but the food seems to be catered to 80 year olds. Crows Nest needs an update and a little inspiration! read more
