I have had wonderful experiences every time I've gone in to The Crow's Nest. The people are so friendly, and you can just feel the pride they take in their work, in taking care of their customers, and in maintaining health/safety/cleanliness. I had a simple wrist tattoo done by Ali, and it turned out just how I wanted. She took the time to listen to my specific requests, and didn't make me feel like I was being nitpicky when I wanted her to to redo the guidelines 1 cm to the left....again. And when I needed a bit of touch-up after the initial healing (my fault for not following their aftercare instructions 100%), she did it no problem. I also had my tragus pierced by their apprentice in training (Lauren,) and despite her still learning the ins and outs of piercing, I felt like I was in good hands the whole time because I already knew how seriously the shop took customer satisfaction and safety. The piercing turned out perfectly, and I'm so happy with it! When I started internally freaking out while Lauren prepared for the aforementioned piercing (I have major anxiety problems), Woodstock was there to help me feel comfortable and calm. He talked me through breathing and counting in my head to get my mind off my fear. It brought me out of my negative headspace and made it an overall positive experience. I seriously think that man could voice recordings designed to assist someone who feels a panic attack coming on, he was that calming. I highly recommend this shop, especially if you have anxiety or are a first-timer with lots of questions. I've never had such a positive experience getting tattooed like I have at Crows Nest. I'd give it 1,000,000 stars if I could. From the cleanliness of the establishment, to the professional and welcoming staff, to the outstanding work each artist does across the board. As far as local shops, there's no contest. This is the place you want to be for your next piece. From what I've seen of all the artists there, everyone brings their own style and flair which guarantees you'll get the exact style you want by an amazing artist. My current piece is being done by Josh and to save I love the work he's done so far would be an understatement. He is a master of his craft and it truly shows in his work. Not only that, but when I came to him with my idea, this dude genuinely showed interest and excitement in my idea. We collaborated and made my idea even better than I could have imagined. One thing not talked about about enough is the wonderful experience it is getting work done by him and the establishment itself. Hours fly by because the great conversation not only with him, but other artists around us. We all laugh and have a great time and it has been no comparison to other places I've been. I recently went into the crows nest for a tattoo I've been there before for tattoos and piercings. Not my first tattoo or my first piercing but I wouldn't go anywhere else. I'm a nurse sanitation is very important to me I had never seen the level of sterilization and cleanliness in a piercing shop or a tattoo establishment ever. The people that own it and the people that work there go out of their way to be friendly and professional. I'm a nurse I work from home caring for autistic kids I have a son with autism and another son who's on the Spectrum. I recently went in to get a tattoo for autism I was extremely pleased with the design they came up with. In talking with the owner I learned that they were doing a free autism tattoo day at there business. It's absolutely amazing to me how much they donate to the community and how much they have raised the bar for tattooing and piercing in our area. the building is absolutely decorated amazingly you can just feel the artistic talent in the people that had input in the design. they have up-to-date technology where they can take any picture you have and use that too start the design and they can add to it on the computer which is absolutely amazing to me. So you don't have to wonder what your tattoo is going to come out like you already know what it's going to look like. They're truly amazing caring people and they truly deserve the business that they got. read more

I seriously cannot recommend Crow's Nest enough!! The people that work here are nothing sort of FANTASTIC!! So long story short....when I got my ID back from scanning, I fumbled it around and it bounced off the ground and landed between their desk and the baseboard to the desk!! Like WHAT!!!! The space was as big as the ID. No idea how it happened! Like one in a million shot! Anyways, the entire staff spent like an hour trying to get my ID out of there! They were so amazing...never giving up! They finally got it out!! Yes we screamed with glee and bounced up and down like a bunch of crazies!! So amazing! Ok now for actual art part....Bjorn was the best! I had 3 tiny tats and he was so patient with me spacing them out and getting them exactly how I wanted them. Made sure I was comfortable for the whole thing. And did an AMAZING job!! I can't wait to go back!! Thank you all again for the best experience!! Our experience at The Crow's Nest for my 5-year-old daughter's ear piercing truly exceeded my expectations. From the initial consult to the presentation of the certificate of bravery upon completion, my daughter seemed to feel comfortable and confident each step of the way. Key took her time to thoroughly explain each step of the process including aftercare. During the actual piercing itself, my daughter did not move a bit or even flinch. There was no reaction from her as far as any kind of pain. Although she did say it hurt afterwards and we talked beforehand how it would, I feel the consultation really helped put her at ease for the day she came back for the actual piercing knowing more what to expect and feeling more comfortable in the environment. I was also extremely impressed with the cleanliness and sanitation procedures in place at The Crow's Nest. My daughter is very happy with her new earrings and the investment put towards this type of environment for her first piercing was well worth it! read more

I had a session for 3 tattoos with Ali on December 7th. I was so impressed with the whole shop. The shop was extremely clean and organized. The work stations were sterile and clean. What I especially loved was the atmosphere of the shop. All the artists seemed to get along well, cracking jokes telling stories and were extremely friendly. At 65 years old, I didn't feel like an old lady sitting with a generation I had nothing in common with. They included me in their banter and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. My artist, Ali, was just such a sweet young woman. She was professional and friendly. She was knowledgeable and my tattoos were done with care and consideration as they were memorials for my deceased son. She went over placement and adjusted where necessary. I have always had great customer service with the staff at The Crow's Nest via messenger, email, phone calls, and in-person. Due to having difficulty with healing previous piercings (completed elsewhere), I had a lot of questions for the piercing staff to ensure better success with future piercings. They were very patient with me and reassuring. I was hoping to get a nostril piercing, but decided to wait until mask wearing is not part of my daily routine. Last week was my first time at The Crow's Nest and I got a helix piercing done by Key. It was an amazing experience. She helped me pick out beautiful, quality jewelry within my budget. I am blown away! I was nervous because I was getting my very first PROFESSIONAL and I didn't know what to expect; IT WAS AMAZING! From the consult appointment to the ending- it was all professional and very positive and calming. All of the artist give you 0 reasons to be nervous or anything near that. I love this shop. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I drove 2 hours to come back here and purchase gorgeous new jewelry for a healed daith. Also, Lauren helped me repurpose a beautiful opal cluster I already had and have been wanting to wear again. I thought my options were very limited for that piece but Lauren recommended a helix placement that I hadn't considered before. I am absolutely in love with it. She explained every step of the process, was very thorough about prepping/sterilizing/maintaining sterility, and was extremely kind and gentle during the procedure and while attaching the jewelry. I got my first-ever cartilage piercing today. I couldn't decide whether to get a rook or a conch, and my piercer talked me through all the pros and cons of each, including pricing, healing, and the overall average experience. She was incredibly helpful. I ended up choosing the conch, and I was pretty nervous, but she was so patient and kind, answering all of my questions and concerns. She was joking the whole time, making me laugh, which helped soothe my nerves. The actual piercing experience was just as amazing. The whole process lasted about 5 seconds and barely hurt, only for about 1 second. Overall, it was incredible, and I'm definitely planning on going back to get my other conch done. read more

Bjorn did this amazing memorial piece for my late grandfather on my calf. From our very first meeting he asked questions to learn the story behind each element and put thought into how to bring my vision to life. On the day of, he had idea for changes, and he made sure I was 100% happy with the design before we started. The entire shop was clean and orderly, and the environment was fun but not chaotic. I saw Key today to check in on a piercing I had received from a different business that just didn't seem right. Key was able to see me the very next day and was extremely caring and helpful for the situation. We discovered I was pierced with jewelry that tarnished, jewelry that was bent to shape, and was crooked. Key immediately switched me to better fitting surgical steel jewelry that was the proper shape and helped me understand what to look for in the future. I've been getting ink since I was 13 back in '79 and all over the nation and this cat and from what I see around of the rest of the crew really know their business. Went in with my 8 year old daughter for consult about getting her ears pierced. Key explained the entire process with my daughter and me. We left there, and my daughter definitely is getting her ears pierced but is waiting until school starts. Nothing was left out, including that with the healing process swimming should be avoided for a period of time which is the only reason my daughter wants to wait a little bit. I booked a nose (nostril) piercing with Lauren @punkpiercer23 today and had a great experience. I'm new to the area and needed to find a new spot for piercings, and this will definitely be my new spot. The shop was clean, had a great vibe, and the jewelry selection was amazing.
