Beware - Fraudulent Behavior by Paradise Events and Liting Chan…read more I paid a deposit of nearly $23,000 to Paradise Events and Liting Chan for floral décor four years ago. The wedding was canceled due to Covid (the planning service fee of $6000 was paid separately), and no flower décor were ever provided. Her actions are dishonest and unprofessional--avoid doing business with them if you don't want to risk losing your money.

We set up a meeting with Bobby the owner of GQ productions and he had great ideas for us, what we needed to do, where to start, how to work within our budget. We left that meeting with high hopes and excitement on what we needed to do and hired Bobby on the spot. Bobby stayed in contact as the months came closer to our wedding, informing us of ideas on how to make everything run smoothly on the day of. Even a couple weeks before the actually wedding we added last minute ideas Bobby was a great help in designing this and making our last minute idea come to life. Bobby was more then just a dj, he designed our reception with these amazing LED lights which made the room pop and set a tone of elegance. We asked Bobby to be our MC as well because he could speak Spanish and half the guest could only speak Spanish so he would say it in English and then Spanish for our guest which really added a personal touch for our out of town guest on making them feel welcome. Bobby had the dance floor hoping all night, he really paid attention to all the guest's choices and made sure it was alway full. Weeks later everybody is still talking about our wedding day and how they dance all night and had the most amazing time! We want send a BIG thank you to Bobby at GQ production for helping us plan our big day and making our day stress free and which was one of the greatest days of our lives this far!!! Jordan with Fairy Godmother Weddings planned our wedding for us in June 2013 and I have to say,…read moreJordan and the entire team there are absolutely amazing! The number one thing I would recommend to any bride or groom who has a wedding to plan - large or small - is to work with a planner and to find somebody good early. We were referred to Fairy Godmother by another planner who couldn't work with us because of our budget (too small!), so we felt we were on good footing. We also heard great stuff from a friend who had worked with Jordan for their wedding the summer before, so again, the signs were all great from the start. Jordan's approach is fantastic and my husband and I both felt that she took the time to get to know us, and provided us with just the package and support we needed. She always had helpful ideas and suggestions when I needed some direction, and built on the vision we were creating for our big day. On the day itself, Jordan and her assistant Robyn were pure godsends. They helped smooth over family drama by providing 'professional' direction and advice to family members when needed (basically helping me keep things the way my husband and I wanted them without having to start any kind of family fuss because we could say it was all just being 'professional'), and they helped supervise all our friends and family who were helping out with various tasks. They dealt with vendors arriving and leaving and picking and dropping all the various items, and they even made sure we had food in our room at the end of the evening. I know I haven't even covered off all the things they did for us to make sure we had the most amazing day of our lives - all I can say is I had the most relaxing, fun-filled and stress-free day of my life on my wedding day - and I know not all brides can say that!! Thank you Jordan and the whole team at Fairy Godmother Weddings. I would highly recommend anybody work with you guys on planning - and executing - the wedding of their dreams!

They promised us a perfect day and then proceeded to screw up royally on several fronts, most notably the decor and the day of coordination. Stuck around as my youngest was attending a birthday party this afternoon from 1-3:30…read more Cloris was my favourite staffer and go-to gal for things like an extra bin for overflow birthday presents, cups for water (and she brought me a stack which I appreciated as forward-thinking because I could leave them for the other parents in our group too), and she was extra patient with my kid when he was choosing a prize with his tickets. For the most part, I really like the systems here that made the party run fairly smoothly. Our party host staffer (didn't catch her name but she had the coolest purple shoes) was super helpful in distributing food, assisting with cake cutting, refilling pitchers, quickly cleaning up after spills and proactively dealing with cupcake leftovers being put in the fridge. Three things I'd maybe suggest could run differently: 1) have coloured wristbands assigned to party rooms so that you can tell instantly who belongs to your party group. Like at one point, we had a random little girl asking for tokens from our party host, and then a little boy just sat himself down at our party table eating food and blending in until our host mom said, "Who is this kid??" And then a minute later his mom found him! The parents thought it was hilarious. The staff also have neon shirts so maybe you can match party host to wristband colours. If this system already exists, I didn't notice and only thought of it now. 2) For bumper car passes and tokens, it would be good if birthday party kids got an allotment with their socks at the start when you sign in at the front desk. The less that parent hosts have to worry about, the better. The thing where each kid signs in and chooses hot dog or pizza is fantastic. Our host mom thought she'd have to take care of that and was relieved not to. 3) For saying goodbye and around retrieving their shoes, that could be the time and location that party hosts can give out their goodie bags. It's just a little awkward that there's no specific place to do that. I appreciated not having to sign a waiver but that's probably not the greatest for the establishment's purposes. I also appreciated not having to pay entry fee as an adult even though I was prepared to pay. But then again, encouraging parents to stay without charging them means they're okay with waiting around for their kid, being around to supervise as opposed to dropping off and leaving, and like one parent I saw, will buy food. Overall, the place seemed clean and with good air flow. The play area is large and there was a garage door open so I felt safe enough not to have to wear a mask which I really liked. The party rooms are large with high ceilings. I usually wear a mask in the classroom because of a low ceiling. It was about half full and there was lots of space for parents to gather at tables and hang out to wait for their kids. I don't know that I'd be back on my own because my oldest might feel too old for the climbing part, but the youngest had a wonderful time.
