But my mother wanted a slightly more elaborate wedding than I would have planned, and I was in an unfamiliar city, and having trouble finding resources. She helped me pull the wedding together in two months, with a very satisfactory price tag in the end. Now I think that if you can find a good wedding planner to work with, nearly every wedding should have a wedding planner. After all it's a fairly complicated event, with so many things that can go wrong; and by definition the couple planning the wedding usually have little experience with planning weddings. First, Angela is an enthusiastic, down to earth, sensible, real person. I got the impression from other interviews I did that among event planners, these are valuable and somewhat uncommon traits. Still, of course, she's got that glamorous side. She's amazingly effective, with a great sense of style of her own, and also very able to work with your style. She's well connected and excellent at digging up new resources, including those with good prices. She takes your budget seriously, and with her ability to comparison shop you get more bang for your buck. I really do believe that the money she saved us paid for her fee, and of course her help went far beyond resource and bargain-finding. Absolutely worth it. My only complaint was that she was stretching herself a little thin. I would have rather paid more, and gotten more of her undiluted focus and energy. But that was in retrospect--of course when we first hired her we were skeptical of the whole thing, and her affordable fee was reassuring. Also if you can hire your wedding planner further in advance of your wedding than we did, I'm sure that would make everything smoother! Our wedding was a fantastic, fun experience--not everyone can say that--and it was in large part thanks to Angela.

I found a little blurb about the "singagrams" starting at a decent price so I called for more info. Cassandra picked up and was very happy and perky when she answered - my whole background is customer service and too many places don't get how important that is and what an impression that makes. I liked her right away. While the phone rang I was thinking I wanted a clown or gorilla, something funny and ridiculous and wasn't sure what I could use from these guys. Right when we started talking I realized a random Batman appearance would be hilarious - especially when she said he was a professional actor AND singer and would do the voice. OMG...THIS GUY. Let me tell you, he is a STAR and should be friggin' famous. He NAILED IT. You know someone has a natural talent when they put their all into what they do and has a natural charm. He did a phenomenal job mortifying her with his over-the-top entrance just as I'd hoped, gave her the balloon, card and rose, sang Happy Birthday and danced/sang to what I said was her "theme song" Milkshake . She almost couldn't breathe she was laughing so much. He took pictures and when they found out we both had kids, he did baby shark and a special video for our sons. They even did videos for us, including the Batman theme song LOL! I'm telling you, their singing telegram section should be more featured. This was shockingly way above and beyond what I expected, thoughtful, professional, friendly and fun and considering the manager called a meeting so everyone would be there to enjoy the spectacle, I HIGHLY recommend hiring Out of the Rain and embarrassing your family or friends at work (with company permission of course) giving them a great, special surprise they won't forget. I can't thank your company enough, our faces still hurt from smiling.
