On a quest to find a black dentist I stumbled upon Crowne Dental. I had done tons of research to see what was available in the Las Vegas area as I wanted to start expanding my medical and dental care with black professionals. Nonetheless, I settled on coming to Crowne Dental. My first initial call to check my insurance was a little icky due to communication errors, but was able to send my items via email. Unfortunately, the follow up was non existent, so I had to call in to ensure everything was received by email and schedule an appt. I got scheduled for a super early appt due to little availability, but I made it work. Dentist office was easy to find and parking was not a problem. The facility is your typical office, lobby, front desk, then back areas to complete service. Place was nice and neat which is always great for a dental office. As a first time patient, I was not pleased with the attitude of the attendant who was the face of the front that morning. I said good morning and instead of replying with a greeting or good morning she got right to it with ID and insurance card. Her demeanor, attitude, tone and response gave off she did not want to be there. Not my problem! Thankfully, I was able to be seen quickly so not a lot of waiting in the lobby with Ms. Attitude. The dental assistant that walked me back was super nice I believe her name was Tiffany. She prepped me, welcomed me to the office, went over the visit process, told me a little about the dentist and completed my X-rays with no issues. Meeting Dr. Reese was a great pivot from how I assumed the rest of the visit would go. She was very sweet, down to earth, knowledgeable, and reviewed the health of my teeth with recommendations that aligned with my previous treatment plan. Visit overall went okay. Crowne Dental is a in network provider for my insurance so pricing wasn't too bad. The attendant upon exit was very helpful in breaking down cost, treatment plan and scheduling. I got to see a hygenist as well. So I can say my teeth were in great hands. Biggest issue upon my visit is the attendant with the attitude and lack of communication for follow up/ scheduling. Quality Customer service is huge to me so this wasn't the best experience but has potential to be better in the future. I was proud to support a local black business and professional so there's a plus. One recommendation, please ensure staff are mindful of the brand they represent and not to be the bad apple that ruins it for others. Being courteous and hospitable cost nothing. read more

I was extremely happy to find a black, female dentist out here. This was part of my criteria. We were greeted immediately when we walked in, was checked in fast, and taken to the back within less than five minutes. The dental assistant was amazing. She took x-rays of my teeth fast, and without causing me any pain. (Dental X-rays with no pain were a plus, and a first for me.) The dentist was very cool. She made me feel comfortable, and like I was part of her family. She was gentle, and thorough, and explained everything while she checked my teeth. The hygienist had a gentle touch, was also very cool, and kept me laughing while he cleaned my teeth. I loved the vibe, and energy from everyone in this office. A complete root canal and temp and total care....$$200 After outsourcing root canal care to another Dr., ...follow up treatment including temp. crown and permant crown...$185 After paying $100 co-pay for the actual root canal work. Be weiry of these Dr's that dont give shit because their busy. No love hiven or shown, from the the secretaries up apparently. From my last review I wanted to give this office a 2nd chance so I can change my review. So I made an appointment for my fiancé for Sept 15th and it got cancelled the day before due to a water leak. I then got it rescheduled for Oct 5th and the woman puts me on hold. Comes back and ask me if I did a Yelp review. I said yes. She places me back on hold and tells me they can't see him because of my review. Wow! I told her I was trying to give them a 2nd chance because it's a place of business and I wanted to see if it was better than my first review. However, the woman on the phone tells me that they are not a good fit for me because of my review. I don't know if I should call that discrimination?! ‍ Shame on this practice for involving their personal feelings instead of doing what's right for the patient. Dr. Reese and her staff are absolutely amazing. I used to bounce from dentist to dentist until I stumbled upon reviews for their previous location (Generations Dental). I have been seeing Dr. Reese for the last four years and I will NEVER go anywhere else. You can tell she loves what she does and has such an wonderful and inviting personality. She explains everything thoroughly and makes going to the dentist enjoyable (I never thought I'd use those two words in the same sentence). I made the decision two years ago to straighten my teeth. We tried to go the Invisalign route, however I was not a suitable candidate (keep in mind it's case by case for everyone!) and she recommended braces instead. She referred me to an orthodontist and I was confident in her referral because I trusted her. She explained to me after I got my braces off, they would put crowns to fill in the gap for my top teeth. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with the outcome (I literally cannot stop smiling) and have never been this confident my whole life. It's all thanks to Dr. Reese, Kristy and her staff. Jori and Vi are both awesome and will always call to remind you of your appointments. They get me checked in the second I walk through the door and there is a very little to no wait time. Doctor Matt Pham, works wonders with getting the job done fast and comfortably. Dr Reese and her staff are absolutely phenomenal to say the least ! I was looking for a dentist and was referred to Dr Reese . I was able to discuss with her what was going on with me because the type of dental pain I was in was excruciating! She immediately went into action and initiated a plan of Care to address my pain and When I say immediately I mean immediately! Once in the back to look in depth at my pain I was given all my options . Now listen I was back there crying like a toddler at their first dental appointment because I was in so much pain .
