I was a little nervous about my first pair of bifocals but was pleasantly surprised when I put them on. I am able to see clearly at all distances - up close, far away, and everywhere in between. No problem getting used to these advanced progressive lenses. When I returned for my annual check-up my vision was so close to when I bought them there was no need for new lenses. I will get a back-up pair next time even if there's still no significant changes in my vision since I am eligible for a frame benefit once every two years on my insurance plan. Cut 10 weeks later, five visits and staff that tried to tell me I wasn't seeing what I was seeing and here we are today. Once you purchase glasses here do not expect them to assist you if your glasses are totally off the mark.. Further, this was my first time owning glasses, there was zero instruction on how to clean them, etc. On day one in ownership I scratched them as I did not realize you can't use TP. A few years ago my daughter, who was a patient at the time, was in a softball tournament in Kansas City. She forgot to bring extra daily contacts with her so I called Dr. Goerrs office on a Saturday morning when they were closed. He knew another doctor in KC and gave them her prescription so we could go to his office and pick them up. This past weekend I was getting ready for my grandson's birthday party and something scratched my eye. I was walking around with one hand covering my eye. I called Dr. Goerrs on his emergency line. He calls me back shortly after. First he apologizes for not answering my call but he just got off a plane in St. Louis and he hasn't even gotten his luggage yet. I tell him what happened and he sent out a prescription to my pharmacy before leaving the airport. We picked it up right away and I could start using it before the party started. Not many doctors are that caring and would go to those lengths to help a patient. Marilyn W.

Overall the service for my exam was fine but when it came down to buying glasses the sales tactics were obvious and horrible. When I started to question the costs I was given diff excuses trying to justify why my glasses were sooo expensive, even when having vision insurance.
