0 stars. Absolutely worst rental company I've ever had to deal with. First day in New place, microwave just didnt work. Would not turn on. Took them 2 months to replace it. Garage door breaks after 5 months. Leak under sink after living in house for 5 months and they're trying to make us pay the bill. Furnace has not worked properly for almost 3 weeks and we have gone without heat for a whole week. My kids bundled in blankets. We've tried to be patient. Communication extremely slow and they're always trying to charge tenant for their broken things in their shitty rentals. Stay away!!! read more

Where do I even begin.....management is awful, I recommend taking pictures of EVERYTHING while moving out. I spent 9 hours cleaning from top to bottom and they still charged me $1000 for cleaning and management didn't bother to vouch for me at all. I lived in a townhome for two years and paid on time each month except one time when I was 3 days late. They put a block on my online payments and said I needed to bring a cashiers check from then on which is extremely inconvenient. kept the home clean inside and out to ensure compliance with crown and the owner. I ended up rescuing a puppy and failed to mention it to management, the neighbor was a creep and has cameras facing directly at my home, unfortunately because they were on his property there was nothing to be done but that neighbor took pictures of every move we made and reported it to crown. Long story short, crown found out about the puppy and i wasn't able to find a new home for her so they told us to write a letter that we are leaving or they would evict us. We are no longer able to rent another home from crown property management. I would not recommend this management company nor do I recommend Robin or Luis. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! As a prospective and new tenant, these folks were okay. The communication with my property manager was always slow, but I could work around that. However, once I gave notice that I was moving out, working with this company became a nightmare. I moved out a few days early because they said they had a tenant that had been approved and wanted to move in ASAP. It cost me extra effort and money to get this done, but I figured I'd get my deposit back, plus some prorated rent as well. No dice. Turns out, that tenant "didn't qualify." When I moved out, I left my place cleaner than anyone this company has ever known (I'm betting), yet I was charged over $300 for cleaning. They conveniently applied my deposit to the final month's rent without asking me, and promised over and over that they had "qualified" tenants ready to move in, yet my place sat for over two months without renting. Bottom line, they milked me for every penny and lied to me about how soon they could get a new tenant in my place. Communication was slow and inadequate, and I had to get down right rude to get any answers. I left with ZERO dollars in my pocket after being a faithful and responsible tenant. There was NO damage to my place when I left and it was CLEAN. This company is full of liars and cheats!! Rent at your own risk!! read more

She always kept us promptly advised of any situations with our tenants, helped us find really good renters, and sent our rental payments to us in a timely fashion. Hi, Crown. I had money for you, money I wanted to spend on renting one of the houses you manage. You had multiple houses I was interested in, yet somehow you couldn't bother to return a phone call. I left a voicemail. No response. I called and spoke with someone and they said I'd get a return phone call. No dice. Finding a house to rent is often a time sensitive process, and this was no exception. Here you have two gainfully employed individuals with great credit and clean background checks, ideal tenants both on paper and in person, and you still don't bother to return a phone call. We found a rental house elsewhere and I'll encourage others to do the same. read more

My husband and I have rented homes 4 times in the past 30 years. Until we rented through Crown Properties we have always gotten our entire deposit back, Crown not only kept the total deposit on made up charges, WAY overcharging for legitimate charges they demand that we pay more within 30 days or be turned over for collection. We rented for 2 years, paid on time and kept the home clean. They charged over $100 to mow the tiny lawn, $75 for not paying rent on time when we had been told that another renter was already moving in, charged us to repair items that were broken when we moved in and other charges that were not warranted. They did repair urgent things, AC and fridg, but did not repair other items that were a nuisance or unsightly, although they promised they would. read more

We rented a house from them for two years. We always had great service, especially from Chistee. The few times we need a repair, it was done without delay. Oh, by the way, when we moved into the house, it was spotless. The only complaint I have we're the inspections every six months. They were very stressful for my wife. read more

I have never dealt with such an unprofessional management company. They did not respond to maintenance requests and when they did, their maintenance guy didn't show up three times in a row. The closet rod hardware had dismounted from the wall. It remained that way for 3 months. They took over as managers while I was already in a rental unit. Initially I put in a maintenance request that they deleted and never contacted me about. The house owner asked me how they were doing with maintenance. I told him what happened and he had to get on them to respond. When they did respond, it was like conversing with a 5th grader. When they did send a maintenance person out, it was the cheapest maintenance person they could find, poor quality, had to come back multiple times to fix an easy fix, not everything was addressed, no shows, late, and so on. Upon move out, their automatic emails get sent out with the move out process steps. One step was to schedule the move out inspection. They never contacted me to schedule that. I emailed them and did not get a response. I emailed them again and still did not get a response (email is their preferred way of contact). I finally called and had to leave a message. Then they responded via email stating "I don't know where you heard about a move out inspection, but we don't do those." So when I moved out, I left the keys on the counter and locked up upon exiting. I took pictures of everything as I could tell this company (Christee Powell, in particular) is for the unit owner as that is where the money comes from. I cleaned the place, mowed the lawn and everything. The only damage I did was from hanging objects and go ahead and charge me for that. That would be fine because that is damage from me. So I am in my new place and I get a text from Christee requesting my new address to send my deposit funds to. I sent it to her. She they send me an outrageous bill for thousands of dollars of damage that was all fabricated. I have pictures of move out day since they would not do a move out inspection as their email indicated they would. Run as far away from this company as you can get, unless, you are a unit owner and don't mind if your tenants get treated like dirt. read more

If all you read is this first sentence the take away is DO NOT RENT from crown property management. Recently moved out from a property of theirs after four(4) years and not a single improvement had been made that was promised when I moved in. Upon moving out the fence was in worse shape than ever; still falling down or missing boards in many places and the gate had to be held closed with cinder blocks. The carpets were threadbare in spots despite repeated promises to have them replaced. Crown had to be called frequently because neighbors complained that the large, nature trees on the property grew over property lines causing property damage to other homeowners. Complaints and concerns were often met with a promise to follow up in a week or so, lip service, but six months later you would only hear from Crown Property Management when they were ready to do another walk through. During the walk through many of the same issues would be brought up with the same response as before that the manager would get back in about one week. Nothing ever game of those meetings and promises. If you had concerns about Crown Property Management not getting back in a timely manner their response was hat they were at all time low vacancy rates and had too much to do. Clearly managing the properties and paying tenants is not their goal. After four years without improvements to the property and numerous substantial increases in rent the property manager informed me the property must be vacated by a particular date as the home owner was looking to remodel and increase rent. After working with the property manager and leaving the property by the time discussed a letter was issued claiming no notice had been given to Crown Management and full rent would be due in addition to the loss of the security deposit. Despite multiple attempts to reconcile with Crown Property management they have refused to see their wrong doing and have insisted that the aforementioned penalties be paid in full with no acknowledgement of their predatory practices. To drive home the point you should NOT RENT FROM CROWN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT unless you are looking to be taken advantage from. read more

This management company governs several apartment complexes, one of these being Cedars in Kennewick, which I am a former resident. The Apartment appointed my Husband and I was exciting to look at at first glances, but upon moving in, every appliance began to break within the first month. The dishwasher was never working, the AC nearly always nonoperational, The front door doesn't shut, the windows aren't properly sealed and leak, the pool is a health hazard, the maintenance team is unproductive, especially during heat waves in summer, and the management staff is less than accommodating to residents paying $725 dollars a month. Of course, this is but one opinion and view of this business but businesses thrive due to customers. Displease them, and you fall far. I would just like to caution those of you seeking a new place to live and call home and would love for you to think twice before placing your trust and money as well as family into the hands of this company. read more

This management company is extremely unprofessional. Sylvia Erickson was rude and did not help me whatsoever in figuring out what status my application was in. In her words, she told me to "move on" because I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to speed up the application process. She then told me I was denied due to rental history when I have more than 4 years of established rental history in good standing. I employed Crown to manage my property in Richland while I was assigned abroad by my company. I thought everything was going well, because the place was infrequently vacant, though in reality I only had two tenants over five years so this has little to do with Crown. The rent was never raised and I have come to find out that the property was not really being managed. Damage is coming to light that was never caught on the inspections that were supposedly happening (I am still abroad), damage that would have been obvious if proper due diligence was undertaken. To add salt to the wound, I have discovered that I have been overpaying to boot, the prevailing PM rates in the area are lower than Crown charges. The final straw was the most recent time (certainly not only) that Crown refused to do as I asked and let the place remain empty, despite having an agreed tenant, whilst I discussed the continued rental status of the property with the HOA. I would not recommend Crown to any homeowner who is not around to check up on their management of the property, and if that is necessary, why employ them at all? My advice, look for another management agency in the Tri-Cities, you will get a better result. read more

Terrible terrible management!!! 3 college students.....had the minimum 2 years rental history requirement that they require. Good payments always made on time in past, gave all required documentation to Crown even had to call and explain the documentation for her to understand. GO through all of this trouble to be turned down and they say we don't have credit history and lack of rental history! College students don't normally have credit!!!! We also pay more in rent now than what they had. We added a cosigner and still said we lacked credit and income amount. NEVER INQUIRING ABOUT CROWN PROPERTIES AGAIN! We also waited 2 weeks for this to hear about their final decision to reject us. read more
