This place looked amazing in the pictures BUT there was mold in the bathtub, everything was closed,…read morethere was a spider in the corner with webs around it, and I didn't feel safe I have a fear of bugs crawling on me or near me. The good part was.. well there was a fan and the other hotel didn't have one and i like the mirrors and space. Over all I think it's a 1, a 1 star motel. Also I feel like you kinda focus on the lobby and not the rooms when buying stuff for your/this motel. Plus the spring fell out of the pull out sofa.‍ Hopefully you take a note about this and add on I know ws are going through tough times but you could add more. Can't you?

It was absolutely disgusting and ridiculously expensive, this is not a resort its more of a run down motel. The first time we got a room spiders were crawling all over the bed so we were relocated to another room. The new room also had several spiders in the closet, on the floor, and a huge wolf spider coming out of the tub. There were several bugs on the ceiling, in the corners of the room, and a grass hopper in the bathroom. A cicada flew in on the ceiling. My toddler was with us and has bite marks all over his abdomen, down his back, his legs, and on his neck. This is a huge safety concern and was reported to the staff which did provide us a refund. I had to spend so much money at a laundry mat to clean out our suit case and wash all of our clothes before we went home because we have no idea what was biting our son. I also have bug bites on my abdomen. Do NOT ever stay here it was absolutely horrible, what a nightmare!!!!! Wish I could give this place a negative 5 stars. Also the room was not cleaned, the sheets were stained, the comforter also had many stains, the bathroom lotion bottles had been used, and the soap bar was open, there was also a dead centipede in the tub, just disgraceful.

We had a King room that was roomy and comfortable with parking nearby. Great view of the Current River. Bed was comfortable and room location was pretty quiet, surprisingly. Only downsides were the A/C was noisy and the faux wood floors were being cleaned with some product that made them kinda sticky. We liked the Kuerig coffee maker in the room along with the nice size fridge. Check in experience was good too with friendly staff. We made reservations with a phone call and all went to expectation. Their restaurant onsite is The Blue Heron and it was good as well. Overall we had a good experience and will likely stay again.

Pros: modern, spacious rooms (incl. suites), mini-refrig, some with microwave, no bugs/spiders,…read morelink-up with float services, private river-front gravel bar, Jingles-the-Friendly-Siamese cat (loves kids), friendly staff, on-site good restaurant (evening only), comfortable mattresses, big balconies with Adirondack chairs, OK convenience store, AT&T reception very good, only partial river view from some rooms. For addicts, booze and pot close by. Cons: typical noisy blowy HVac wall units, no house phone in rooms, no luggage help, walk to Rose Cliff Lodge for ice, no cooking or fires allowed anywhere, max. 2-story walk ups depending on room (no elevators), pricey, noise from big rigs on Hwy 60 bridge (less noise in River Center), no house computer, no playground/River here a bit fast for younger kids to play in. The biggest problem with this otherwise quality property was (officially anyway) a "no cancellation/refund/credit" policy. They don't charge your card until you check in, so it is unclear how rigidly enforced this policy is (+ there's a $15 cancel fee per room/day). We got flooded out over July 2025 weekend (Park Service closes the river if it gets over 6 feet - follow this on NOAA website/river level Van Buren MO). We elected to stay regardless (kids are more flexible and inventive than adults!) The Landing is highly dependent on the weather and have a limited season, so they really can't insure your stay. Still, they should have an official credit option for a future stay credit. In Van Buren: "The" Mexican restaurant serves huge good portions. The steaks at the Landing's Blue Heron come out mooing - you may need to have them touched up. Best breakfast is at the Ranch House. No nightlife. In area: Big Spring is spectacular, floating is worth the price, but best in a canoe unless you like cold butt (there's an enormous cave upstream from Van Buren), little funky animal park is pricey but fun for kids. For floating, IMHO the best stretch of the Current is Aker's Ferry to Round Spring, and do it in drought after July 4 for clear water and to minimize deer flies and horse flies.

This place is near Sugar Loaf Mountain. If you have the stamina and the time. It's absolutely worth the climb. The views are amazing up there. I am glad that I took the time to hike it with my kids the first time we were here. I had mobility issues during my last visit. There was some confusion when we checked in as they said there were only a "few steps" to manage to get to our room. It was on the second floor with a full flight of stairs to ascend to get to the room. This wasn't happening and we were checking in pretty late to begin with so I was a bit worried. They did end up getting us something on the ground floor, so that was nice of them. We did end up in the units way far away from the pool and shops. Side note: If you have ever had the unpleasantries of not being able to walk, I do not recommend, not 10/10, not even 1/10... it sucks. I am sorry if you are dealing with that at all. Anyway. Back on track. Rooms are fairly large that we have had and kind of feel like an apartment more than hotels. Beds are comfy, they are clean, and it's pretty quiet around. Some of the appliances had to have been bought before this place was even built as there are numerous versions of straight up analog shit all up in the rooms. It's like a travel back in time. They have some nice pools and decent poolside bars and food places. The wings we had there were quite good, but that's another review. There are lots of things to do nearby and a few restaurants in the area that are pretty good. One place we ate was outstanding. The best carrot cake I have ever had. I think it starts with a J. Busy place! Heck. We may be back. It's close to home and not too expensive for a short trip here. '26 - 43

We are about to complete a week stay at Hamilton Cove which is part of Wyndham Resort at Fairfield…read moreBay. The week started with a great drive from Houston. GPS worked great at got us right to the registration building. Registration went very smooth with Nyx checking us in. We were in Condo 5 in Hamilton Cove. The outdoor pool was within walking distance and was enjoyed by my daughter's family. My wife and I took advantage of Tuesday Bingo at the local community center. Everyone was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The condo kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to prepare meals for my family. Suggestion please sharpen the prep knives in the wood block. I was grateful I brought my own, a larger skillet and pot. All appliance worked perfectly. There were 4 adults and 3 kids. The condo accommodated is very well. My daughter had a Tesla and there was a local charging station within 4 miles of our condo. We took advantage of mini golf, bowling, hiking, grocery shopping at Harps, and Dollar General. All were located closely to our area. We drove down to the Fairfield Marina but did not take advantage of any of the activities. I left my golf clubs at home, but there was an 18 hole golf course nearby. My daughter and her kids visited the local cave.
