Mini family reunion for my passed Uncle Bud. My 85 yr old aunt lives in Hardy, AR, so off to there we go (mini me and myself). Small town, closes early, not a lot to see. However, Spring River Lodge is a nice little oasis. All the staff, and I mean all. Met the front of house folks, the cleaning crew and the breakfast folks. All of them pleasant and friendly. We had probably 20-30 family members staying here and it was a delight. It's not fancy, but there is a nice, clean indoor pool; there's a nice patio out back and a sizeable seating area (typically for breakfast - we took it over anyway). Super clean rooms (I saw, they actually do strip the bed down and wash/replace EVERYTHING), comfortable beds and nice hot showers. What more could you want in little ol' Hardy, AR? Not much methinks. Liquor store across the street and McD's as well for late night munchies (town shuts down around 9PM). read more

They do not pay their employees a livable wage and expect them to do multiple full time jobs for one minimum wage. Example: hiring someone as a "Front Desk Receptionist" but demanding, expecting, harassing and brow beating the employee hired for reservations and guest service to put a bell and a sign at the front desk and instead of welcoming all who enter be banished to the laundry room to wash, dry and fold commercial laundry 40 hours a week. And when the receptionist is actually doing her job she was hired to do, take a reservation, the manager is anxiously pacing behind her to hurry her up with the call to get back to the laundry room. The laundry room has broken, outdated faulty appliances. They really should hire a laundry assistant, invest in updated equipment and let the receptionist focus on welcoming the guests. Also there is always a child who comes to work with his grandma and stays her entire shift and even helps her with her chores. Is that even legal? It's unprofessional for sure. read more

My daughter, grandson, and I stayed one night at this motel in a "suite," which was adjoining rooms with a couch that was stained and supremely uncomfortable. The cushions wouldn't stay on it. They hung over the frame. Was this because where should have been upholstery in the seat, there was a wooden board. Was it plywood? I noticed immediately that the bedspreads were dirty and turned mine down, so I wouldn't touch it. When my daughter turned hers down, she noticed the sheets were stained and/or dirty. She was almost positive the stains were blood. She called the staff, and the girl working the desk came down the hall barefooted. She brought my daughter sheets as if she should change the stained and/or dirty linens herself. This place needs to invest in some new linens that aren't stained. The chest in my room was missing a handle. In my daughter and grandson's room, either the TV didn't actually work or we couldn't find the correct remote to use with it. We unhappily spent the night. The next morning, I would've made coffee in my coffee pot that was included in the room, but it was dirty. It had not been washed. When I checked out, I told the woman at the desk how dirty and defective the room was. She asked if I wanted to talk to housekeeping. I said this was a management problem. She said that there was a new manager, and she was trying to clean things up. I said that they hadn't been. She gave me a card with the manager's name on it and told me to call back on Monday. I could reach her then. I did that. The manager told me I'd been offered a refund. Really? By whom? That was not true at all. Then she said that we could've left that night, and then we could have gotten a refund. This was supposed to be customer service? And where would we have gone? But since we spent the night, we couldn't get a refund. She also said there were stains on the linens, but they weren't bad. To say that the standards are very low at this motel is an understatement. I noticed that there haven't been any reviews on Yelp of this motel in three years. Maybe it was better in the past. I don't know. But in this town on the beautiful Spring River, this seemed the antithesis of any natural beauty. Housekeeping was bad. Management was bad. Where is the owner? We were offered no good customer service, and the manager was put out that I wasn't happy with our bad experience or happy with her bad customer service. She was irritated that I was critical. She had no interest in what I had to say at all. It was terrible all the way around. Except the shower. There was great water pressure. read more

It was my 1st time in Hardy AK, and my good friend recommended this hotel for a couple of nights. Upon my arrival, all the staff were great, but Ms. Trinity, was truly a standout! She was friendly, hospitable, pleasant and very helpful! She honored my request for a 1st floor room, which was very clean and tidy! On my last night, I needed to wash my laundry, but didn't have any detergent. Ms. Trinity gladly provided a little of hers without hesitation and reimbursement, which saved a trip into town. Hardys Spring Lodge is a very nice place to stay and hope to return back soon. Ms. Trinity was a very pleasant surprise and a rare treat! THANK YOU for the fantastic customer service! read more

Along with Biggers, this is one of the nicest places to stay in Hardy. Rooms are nothing special, but are clean quiet and comfortable.

I will start this review by saying that I have not yet stayed here. My review is based on dealing with making a reservation, as well as cancelling the reservation. Overall, based on the customer service I received I not only would consider booking here again in the future but I also wanted to write a positive review so hopefully others give this business a chance. When I made the reservation the receptionist was very friendly. I was booking with my dog and she made me feel VERY welcome. This was a nice surprise after many other area lodging options gave me the third degree about the breed of my dog, where the dog would sleep, etc. No third degree here...just a friendly person asking about the name of my dog and letting me know there was a $15 fee. I ended up needing to cancel the reservation. I called with 24 hours notice and they kindly cancelled it - no questions asked and not cancel fee. Nice and easy was my overall experience! I did make it to Hardy (not for an overnight trip) and checked out the location for future visits. It's actually a much better spot than one could tell by looking at google maps. It's a 5 minute drive to Hardy Beach and a 3-5 minute drive to the boat launch. You could probably walk to downtown Hardy from here too. Private parking and on a littler hill by itself. Looking forward to actually staying here in the future! read more

Great accommodation for the price. Includes continental breakfast. The rooms have a microwave and mini fridge. The staff is always super friendly. I love catching up on a good Hallmark movie while my husband is out fishing. Highly recommended. read more

My first night here was a disaster as there was some family reunion also staying that was disrespectful of everyone except themselves. The hotel doesn't have much noise insulation in the walls so my room sounded like wild animals were on the rampage. We endured until about 11 PM when I went to the front desk and complained about the noise and the children playing on the stairs. I was able to go to sleep a little later as the night clerk steered the reunion members to their rooms. The next morning management moved us to another room away from the public area and our second night there was a lot more pleasant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the rooms very clean. The twin bed seemed small and the comforter very thin but was adequate for our stay. On a positive note, I believe the staff went out of their way to make the best out of a bad situation and should be commended for their actions. read more

Super friendly staff. Nice breakfast during the weekend. The rooms were nice and clean. The beds, however, were kinda small and it can get loud during the middle of the night if your room is near the dining area. Over all, the staff are accommodating and willing to help. I appreciate that they have items for sale at the front desk in case you forgot certain things at home and forgot them for the trip. They also have a vending machine for those who have late night munchies. read more

I can not say enough about this place. We had a family reunion here and they accommodated the entire family ( over 40 ) people and exceeded our expectations 100%. Stopped overnight on our way through the area. Clean hotel, rooms on the smallish side. Little room for bassinet or sleeping bag for squabbling siblings on floor. Beds are queen and measure queen but seem smaller. Management posts lots of common sense rules that just got plain silly after seeing all of the little notes and signs. Made me wonder who stays there that they have to post in two different places in the room not to steal off the maids cart! read more
