I have been coming to Crown Lake for years. I wasn't here to be given a sales pitch since I am…read morealready a timeshare owner. I stated I was not interested and didn't want to be bothered but the lady wouldn't leave. I signed her document so she would leave & then had no plan to show up for the appointment. The lady showed up again this morning at my door wanting to know why I didn't show up. If I didn't show up I wasn't interested, when I went to lodge a complaint for being bothered while I was on vacation and instead of making it right or apologizing the manager made excuses and was rude. I do not recommend staying here. Now that the owner has partnered with this group you can expect to be hassled with no shame.

So, y'all, try to get there before they close or you'll never know where to go from there! Our room was the lower level condo facing the lake. It's fairly spacious but there's several things that we're not happy about: 1. The pullout sofa is so worn out that the springs would poke your back. But here's a hack for ya - and I wish we would've done this on the other hotels we've been to - just take the mattress off and set it on the floor. It's thick enough and it's actually very comfy on the floor. 2. The floors are hard to clean. If you don't like wearing outdoor footwear indoors, I suggest you bring flip flops for indoor use. 3. If you can switch to the upper floor (if you're on a condo), do it! You don't want to hear footsteps and thumping from your upstairs neighbors. 4. We can hear our upstairs neighbor's toilet flushing and when the shower is on. It really annoying. 5. The bike trail is NOT kid friendly (even if they tell you it is). 6. There's really nothing much for you to do but swim and use the resort's amenities (kayaks, canoes, paddle board). Fishing is NOT good at all. Go to the fishery up by Mammoth Springs if you want good trout fishing. It's still a fairly decent stay for us. We got this place through RCI. The full kitchen is a big plus. And the washer and dryer in the unit is great addition.

This place looked amazing in the pictures BUT there was mold in the bathtub, everything was closed,…read morethere was a spider in the corner with webs around it, and I didn't feel safe I have a fear of bugs crawling on me or near me. The good part was.. well there was a fan and the other hotel didn't have one and i like the mirrors and space. Over all I think it's a 1, a 1 star motel. Also I feel like you kinda focus on the lobby and not the rooms when buying stuff for your/this motel. Plus the spring fell out of the pull out sofa.‍ Hopefully you take a note about this and add on I know ws are going through tough times but you could add more. Can't you?

It was absolutely disgusting and ridiculously expensive, this is not a resort its more of a run down motel. The first time we got a room spiders were crawling all over the bed so we were relocated to another room. The new room also had several spiders in the closet, on the floor, and a huge wolf spider coming out of the tub. There were several bugs on the ceiling, in the corners of the room, and a grass hopper in the bathroom. A cicada flew in on the ceiling. My toddler was with us and has bite marks all over his abdomen, down his back, his legs, and on his neck. This is a huge safety concern and was reported to the staff which did provide us a refund. I had to spend so much money at a laundry mat to clean out our suit case and wash all of our clothes before we went home because we have no idea what was biting our son. I also have bug bites on my abdomen. Do NOT ever stay here it was absolutely horrible, what a nightmare!!!!! Wish I could give this place a negative 5 stars. Also the room was not cleaned, the sheets were stained, the comforter also had many stains, the bathroom lotion bottles had been used, and the soap bar was open, there was also a dead centipede in the tub, just disgraceful.

Not a good experience at all. The staff was really friendly when we first got there... before we…read morepaid. But they got more and more nit picky the longer we were there. I was sitting, reading a book, while my family played by the river however, the fun was over when the owner started screaming at my family from roughly 200 yards away! How embarrassing! My family was only playing On the edge of the river; not making a big ruckus or getting wild, which is why it was so over the top for this woman to be yelling. Of course, they immediately stopped playing and came to sit around our table, totally confused by her behavior. Then the owners mother rushed over accusing us of "jacking up the grass." For one, it's a river; the bank has muddy parts... grassy parts... and some sandy bits and my family was playing on a muddy portion. They were not responsible for the state of the river bank; Nature Is. For another thing, we payed a ridiculous amount to play, fish, and swim for the day but this lady had the audacity to tell us we had "been having fun for, like, 30 minutes and that's enough." Really? And wait, it gets better. My youngest son took a bucket from the back of my husbands truck and was using it as a stool... the lady demanded our son get rid of the bucket. My son told her he was just sitting on it and she didn't press the issue any further, but WHO MAKES DEMANDS LIKE THAT?? We were as polite as we could be because, hey, it's their business establishment, but their disrespectful behavior ruined the enjoyment we were having. We left not long after that and we won't be going back. Public access points are free, their maintained by the game & fish, and best of all they are not lorded over by snooty, snotty, over emotional women who care more about controlling their customers than providing a quality experience.

I read everything closely as to the price only includes 2 people and $16.00 for each person after that. Peak seasons etc.. I was interested in renting several cabins to accommodate at least 20 people adults/children. My siblings and I are trying to surprise my father for Fathers Day! When I called to inquire, the owner was busy working on the grounds and would call me back, I was at work and missed her call. I called back and a very nice lady answered and explained to me that she was the previous owner and was helping out the new owners with phone calls. She relayed to me that, because I was renting at peak season and it was the weekend that the price would be double than what was listed on the website, because in order for the new owners to be able to make money they must also require an additional amount for an automatic 4 canoe rental on the Cabin I was inquiring about. This doubled the price that was around $400 for two nights to $791. And, I need more than one cabin. This to me is not only disappointing it also seems a bit ridiculous! I would say NOT family focused, due to the fact I will have an 85 yr dad, 86 yr old step mother, a pregnant daughter in law and nieces/nephews and grandchildren ranging from 1 yr old to 6 yrs old.. Seriously, its not like they can even get into a canoe. In order to post this I had to give a rating of 1 because there is not a 0.
