I came here after a very expensive experience downtown where I was told I had 7 activities at 33, when I've only had 2 in my life. After, I asked one of my coworkers who is from Seattle where she went and she recommended this place. Should have started here to begin with! The staff is very kind and makes an effort to get to know you, without making it look obvious. When I'm here I get the feeling that people have been coming for years and years, with a steady relationship with their dentist. Exactly what I'm looking for! They were super honest with me and I only had one activity, but a few other areas to watch. They bill you later, which I'm not a fan of, but I definitely don't mind when everything else is so easy. I also love that they called me a week or so before my appointment to ask if I wanted to take any of the cancellations prior. As a transplant who desperately misses her childhood dentist, this is a great substitute. read more

It is always an extremely pleasant experience to get our dental work there. The Perfect Place! I needed a dentist for twice yearly exams and cleanings. My prosthodontist recommended Crown Hill Smiles and I'm delighted he did. What a wonderful place; the atmosphere is warm and calm, and everyone is perfectly kind and gentle. They are all open and friendly, and Dr. O'Connor and hygienist Kendra made my visit easy and successful. (My next visit is already scheduled.) I made an appointment as a new patient. I checked in 10 minutes early for an 8am appointment. Sat in the lobby for 40 minutes. When I asked why I haven't been seen yet, they asked me again who I was, and then told me that I didn't have an appointment. I said you've already checked me in, what do you mean? They told me that they couldn't see me and that I would have to take another day off work and come in another day. I'll find another dentist for sure. read more

I rarely leave these reviews but in this case, I need to commend Dr. Walker and Nicole, who, as my dentist and dental hygienist today, were terrific in settling the fears of this high anxiety dental patient. I had a cavity filled today, and had a crown put on in the past, and they are so exceptionally nice and kind. They put my fears to rest and were gentle and patient with me. I've been seeing Dr. Drumhiller for many years, and have recently switched over to Dr. Walker. Overall I am very pleased with everyone in this office, and they make going to the dentist a lot less daunting than it used to be. Dr. Walker is extremely nice, and very professional. The ladies at the front desk are extremely kind, and I am of course very fond of Lynn who is one of the nicest people on Earth! Doctor Walker is an excellent clinician and has the best patient care. I had the privilege to work with her as a dental hygienist filling in for another staff member. She explains treatment needs and educates patients on their periodontal condition better than anyone I've experienced working for. She has a gentle touch, caring personality and artistic eye. I can not recommend this dental clinic MORE!!!! I have seen Lynn the hygienist for over 30 years having been referred to Dr. Drumhiller by previous dental clinic. So I have been seeing the Doc for that time too. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and courteous and go the extra mile when needed. I live in Olympia and have been driving up to Ballard every six months and more if needed. Dr. Drumhiller has been thorough, friendly and approachable. Lynn too is like a friend and due to retirements I have retained a local dentist. I have also seen Dr. Walker and there are no complaints. She was friendly and courteous and explained the results of the exam. I hope the practice continues to be successful with the new dentists! read more

My childhood was ripe with fear of the dentist. I didn't brush like I should have and ate way too much candy and drank too much Pepsi so my visits were full of angst. It didn't help much that the 60's were the equivalent of the Jurassic era for dentistry. After many adult years of avoiding the dentist I went in search of someone that would treat me with respect and with kid gloves. That person was Dr. Drumhiller! Now, after 20 years of being in his care I can't imagine seeing anyone else. The staff are friendly and will take good care of you. Looking for a new dentist? I have been living in Seattle five years and have bounced around a few dentists that I had issues with (problematic work done, unreasonable policies, rudeness from front desk) so I am thrilled to have found Dr. Drumhiller. I had a couple crowns I needed to have done and my last dentist had ridiculous hours and a front desk girl that was incredibly difficult to deal with. So, her loss. Dr. Drumhiller is so convenient for me in Ballard but that is the least of why I love his practice. I am a dentist-phobe and he put me at ease, always making sure I was comfortable. His assistant Nicole is the best. She is very understanding and can immediately pick up on any sort of discomfort or fear and quickly help address it. The work was quick but done very well and I had no problem scheduling all four of my appointments. The front desk woman (I can't remember her name!) is extremely gracious and always wanted to know my pain level in case I needed to get in sooner. In all, everyone I dealt with was kind and caring but extremely professional. I barely had any pain during and after treatment which I cannot say of all my other dentists. I cannot recommend Dr. Drumhiller enough. I'm very happy with the level of service I received. read more

I visited Crown Hill Dental Care for my first dental appointment in over 5 years; needless to say I wasn't overly excited to go, as I haven't been the most diligent flosser in those 5+ years. But they were AMAZING. From interactions on the phone to set up my appointment, to the care my dental hygienist gave me (she was hilarious!), to the care that Dr. Drumheller gave me as well, I can honestly say I had a great dental experience. I love this practice! I saw Dr. Walker my first time there and she was gentle, kind and a perfectionist- which is the best kind of dentist! I brought my 1 & 3 year olds with me the next trip and we all saw Dr. O'Connor. He was so, so good! My kids (who I normally have to pin down to brush their teeth) loved "helping get the pooping sugar bugs":-) . Thanks to him they love the dentist! He was also very professional during my appointment and didn't push getting a filling as he thought It wasn't necessary. I had an emergency dental situation so I was not able to get in to see Dr. Drumhiller. Dr. Jennifer Walker saw me and referred me to an endodontist before doing a crown for me. I was scheduled for a crown prep with Dr. Walker immediately after having the root canal so my gums were slightly tender. Apparently my flinching during the procedure made her apprehensive about the success of the root canal. After she completed the crown prep, she really frightened me by telling me the prognosis of the tooth was "guarded". She mentioned this very dramatically three different times. I have had to change dentists because of insurance since this time, but I would have done so anyway after this experience. I think Dr. Walker's skill as a dentist is very good, but her manner with me made me very anxious and did not instill confidence. read more

She is a perfectionist with her work and is very nice and professional. She takes time to explain the plan of care and is always asking you how you are doing during procedures.
