Walking in, I was greeted by a warm, welcoming staff that instantly made me feel at home. The place radiated nostalgia, with board games and collectibles that weren't just for show--they were the family's own childhood treasures. I kicked things off with an order of spud cakes, served hot and crispy, with sour cream included (nine per order). The sour cream paired perfectly. The deep-dish pizza arrived piping hot, with a crispy crust, generous cheese, flavorful sauce, and onions--filling and delicious. Their extensive menu offers plenty more to explore. Then came a half dozen wings--mild, with the blue cheese mixed right into the sauce instead of on the side. They were perfectly crispy without being overdone, and the sauce was full of flavor. For my pizza, I ordered six cuts, including an end piece. When she wasn't happy with how one turned out, she brought me another without hesitation--now that's some old-school service. Welcome to the best day of my week everyone, pizza Friday. Today I am at a place that I have never…read morebeen to before, yep first time. I am at Teberio's in Wilkes-Barre. They are known from what I read online is their Scillian style pizza, so I had to try it. I walked in a little after five and there was no open table in their dining room, their bar was packed, there were two high tables that were open, one cleaned off and one not, so that's where I ended up. Seeing this place so packed and people still walking in you know it has to be good. The bartender who doubled as the bus boy / girl / server was running her but off, she deserves a raise or at least a bonus, she was on her game keeping tables clear and taking care of the guests. I ordered a tray with onions, and I added extra cheese. This came out nice and hot, I noticed compared to other Scillian pizza places in the area Teberio's was a lot thinner yet keeping the crust nice and crisp. With one bite you can taste the sauce onions and cheese, the cheese had a nice blend to it. If I had to actually rate this experience, I would have to give it a 10 out of 10. Taste was very good for their house ramen, broth was rich in flavor, egg was done well. My main complaint was the pork chashu as it was tough as shoe leather.
