However, everything was functioning and worked well. I brought my own but they provided several dog shampoo options. The food order was flawless. The manager took my order. She called me back to let me know it was ordered and when it was scheduled to arrive. I received another call when it arrived (on time - as committed). Overall it was a great experience.

While inquiring about purchasing a puppy, one woman had informed me that she did not have knowledge of the prices of the puppies, but I could play with the one I was inquiring about. I quickly denied, as I have no desire to fall more in love with an animal with a ridiculous price. I seen another employee close by, the woman told me the price of this dog was $9,000, but on sale for $6,000. SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS. I could not believe it. These animals are living in containers, displayed in the most inhumane way possible. The puppy I drove to this location to meet had feces all over his cage and body, that he'd apparently been rolling around in. Another dog was throwing himself into the walls of his enclosure, desperate to get out for some play time. I'm completely and utterly disgusted by this establishment & I will NEVER return to another location. It's no wonder all of their locations were permanently shut down in the Chicagoland area, the mistreatment and overpricing of these poor animals ensures that they will never find a forever home, at least until they've grown some and got a big "discount" sticker on the front of their window. I had a sick bearded dragon I brought in within 14 hours on a Thursday (because it was night time & they were closed) , left my job because I feared he was going to die. They took him, gave me a refund & said I get updated. I had to call on him multiple times & was given false hope it was going to survive but vet will be one to look at him. They could not get him to their reptile vet in Valpo until Monday! I was called at 4:20 on Saturday afternoon saying he did not make it through the night by their reptile expert. Why was I not called first thing at 9 am? He claims he was very sick when I brought him in & told me: You got your refund for him. I am sorry but I replied: a refund isn't going to bring him back & I was told Thursday evening that he was responding & doing well. I have to tell my class that their class pet went to heaven & for lack of better words, Petsmart didn't make a sick bearded dragon their priority. I am saddened and extremely disappointed I had 2 baby bearded dragons & was told multiple people brought back deceased ones as well in last month. So some employees told me that it must be their distributor. Then get a new one is what I would think is what they need to do. So please find a different place to support & buy a bearded dragon from because Petsmart will never get my business. This bearded dragon that died, was healthy on Wednesday morning & was best friends with my son's bearded dragon. I have the pictures to prove he was perfectly fine & only continued to go downhill in his health after I took him in to get the help he needed to survive from Petsmart.
