Stay here yearly for our annual four wheeling trip up north. Clean rooms and the owners are very accommodating!

We stayed for four days and were so pleased with our Suite providing us excellent views, even in frozen winter. Chris was an excellent host making us the most delicious breakfasts every morning. This is an architecturally unique place with gorgeous views and all types of rooms to relax, filled with thoughtful amenities. We got to tour many of the rooms all with private baths and nicely well done. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite- a romantic suite equipped with a double Jacuzzi and a two-person shower. It's so convenient on the (frozen) waters edge walking distance to downtown and dozens of restaurants. We walked to many of the restaurants. Thank you Chris for helping to make our 'pearl' anniversary at the Red Bridge Inn in Parks Rapids so special.

Not sure how I haven't written a review of the red bridge inn…read more If you've stayed in park rapids hotels the choices are very limited. I'm here every few months. One of my coworkers stumbled on the red bridge (it's on the hiking trail system) and we have all made it our place to stay when in town for the last several years. Rooms are clean. I travel too much and that's important. Fairly good size. Well equipped with bathrooms etc. They are all different. It's a B&B with the hosts living off site which is not the norm. That makes it quiet!!! There are 7 rooms. The inn itself is on the river. Beautiful setting. Breakfast is what you want. I like a full breakfast. Bam. Friends like toast. What kind? I've seen folks get everything from 'just coffee' to a bowl of fruit or cereal. Just the way it should be Common areas are great. Large deck on the river. Large dining area- tables etc as well as a separate room with tables etc I suspect for meetings and groups. There's an area with couches and tv if that's your fancy. The deck is equipped with grills and a dock - it's on the river and they do rent boats. There's a hot tub. This is not a 5 star hotel. It is a clean well run place to stay wether on vacation or travel for work. 5 stars for me!!

The continental breakfast is a step above many other similar hotels- they have waffles, the usual type of items (English muffins, danishes, etc), but also have a cooler with breakfast sandwiches, French toast sticks, and omelets. It was nice to see such a big variety of choices. The rooms are nice overall, no real complaints there. Nothing remarkable, but fit our needs. The hot tub was out of order, but there is a nice pool and a sauna. The pool roof has a lofted wood ceiling, which is always a pleasant design.

We booked this stay specifically for our wedding anniversary and reserved a room with a hot tub…read more Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. On September 25 at approximately 2:00 p.m., we spoke with Jessica about early check-in. We explained that the hot tub was important because this was our anniversary trip. Jessica told us that most of the hotel's hot tub rooms were not working and acknowledged that the website needed to be updated. She located Room 219, which supposedly had a working hot tub, and allowed us to check in. When we entered Room 219, it had clearly not been cleaned: garbage was overflowing, used coffee cups and towels remained, the bed was unmade, and there were items in the hot tub. Because we understood we had arrived early, we left our belongings and returned around 6:30 p.m., expecting housekeeping to have cleaned the room. It had not. We reported the issue to Isaiah, who moved us to Room 222 and said he was upgrading us at no charge because of the problem. Room 222 was clean, and we eventually used the hot tub. Shortly afterward, we discovered that the lobby below our room was flooding and water was coming through the ceiling. We were told the flooding was caused by the hot tub in Room 222 and that we needed to move again. Isaiah said he would return after handling the situation, but he never did. We were left without another room or instructions and eventually went to sleep after 1:00 a.m. We also learned that other rooms had reportedly been left uncleaned, suggesting a larger housekeeping issue. The following morning, September 26, we were told there were no rooms available and that we needed to speak with Jessica. We waited until nearly 11:00 a.m., but Jessica still had not returned. We ultimately asked that our one-night stay be comped and explained that we would find another place to stay. Jessica initially refused, but after we explained that the "upgrade" was provided only because our original room had not been cleaned--and that we were never given another room after Room 222 flooded--she agreed to comp the stay. We checked out and subsequently received confirmation of a $141.44 credit. However, on September 28, 2026, AmericInn by Wyndham - Park Rapids charged our credit card $141.44 anyway. We have now spent two days attempting to contact the hotel, Jessica, and Customer Care. No one has been able to reach the hotel or Jessica, and we have received no explanation for why the charge was processed after the stay was explicitly comped and a $141.44 credit was confirmed.

Sigh. If Chase on the Lake was a stone's throw away from my unruly Silicon Valley home, I'd be here…read moreand I'd be learning how to jet ski just for that. This hotel is part of a historic landmark in Walker, Minnesota. When you are visiting and folks ask you where you are staying and you mention, "Chase on The Lake" , their response is always positive - like "wow, that's a really great place!". I never got any, "Wow, wait until you're awake in your room at 3 AM." or anything of that sort. Situated on along Leech Lake and in the middle of downtown Walker, it's very easy to come down and take a walk around the area. I stayed in a room right above the restaurant on the first floor, with a lake view (every hour is a different "wow" as the sun makes its way around the lake). It's rather convenient staying in that room because one can always check out the restaurant deck by looking out of the window (in case it may be crowded). You can walk down the stairs from there to the restaurant / deck. Just be aware of their hours as the door at the end of the stairwell will be locked when the restaurant is closed. There is always another way to the deck and that is through walking out and by the side of the Copper Spa building (road leads to the dock too), which is still a part of the hotel. Parking in front of the hotel is ample but there were weekdays where it seemed like there were a lot of cars - must be because it was in the summer and people just love the lake. Going back to the spa - they aren't open daily. There is a pamphlet by the front desk for the spa. I made the mistake of assuming they're open daily on the week and missed out on a potentially soothing deep-tissue massage (or pedicure!). There is a little pool where kiddie birthday parties are often held. Speaking of front desk, they're always very cordial EXCEPT for this young man during this one evening who looked like he couldn't care any less about guests coming in or out - I figured he may be new or just tired of life (at 18 LOL). My room was clean, well-equipped with the basics like a hair dryer, microwave, a fridge and bathroom toiletries . The housekeeping does not come in on a daily basis. They're on-demand. You take your bag of trash and leave it outside your door and the housekeeper will pick it up in the morning. The shower water is warm enough and just right. Despite being a very old hotel, my room did not have any of that old and musty "odor" , not even the hallways nor the stairwell. The TV, however, was pretty complicated, standard and nothing like the Marriott, etc. where the TV was smart, HD and easy to navigate. It wasn't a very big deal though, but it's always a plus if the TV was HD and smart nowadays. I must say, this review is a nice suggestion for a bedtime read at the Chase on the Lake, because at this point, I'm so sure you'd have snored off. I hope the pictures entice you though!

Service was efficient, though not particularly warm or friendly -- but everything we needed was taken care of without issue. Breakfast was a great bonus -- complimentary and tasty! I especially loved making my own mini waffles -- perfectly crispy, sweet, and totally satisfying. We also made use of the pool and hot tub area, which was a highlight. It was a bit chaotic when we stopped by just before 10pm, but after the switch to adults-only hours (10pm-midnight), it was calm and relaxing -- we had the whole space to ourselves! My only wish is that they'd provide full-sized pool towels instead of the tiny hand towel-sized ones. Overall, a clean, comfy, and convenient place to stay -- great value and a great time! Would absolutely stay here again. Our hotel stay suited us perfectly for a weekend getaway with friends! While I can honestly say that I did not expect a place like Bemidji to be on a list of "must see"…read moreplaces to go in the US, here we are. I devote a huge amount of that to our awesome hotel! To begin with the staff was amazing, they were so efficient and kind. The breakfast spread was amazing, also coffee and tea around the clock (excellent cup of coffee might I add, not that weak stuff). Beyond that the amenities were everything we wanted and didn't know we'd be getting. Biking around the lake at sunset, watching the sun go down from the hot tub, and just an overall sense of ease relaxing in front of the fireplace. The king room was so comfortable and quiet, and the bedding was so soft! If you find yourself in this corner of the world check this place out.
