This clinic has gone down hill. Been coming here for years, thousand of dollars spent, yet our most recent experience with the staff was nothing but short-tempered and uncompassionate. We were simply looking for a medication refill our dog has been on for years, but were instead treated with lies, disrespect, and hostility. All for a heartworm medication that has been around for 60 years. All for a simple refill that, instead, the staff wanted to charge us another $35 to call in. (With one phone call to another vet, they offered to do it free of charge - and we're not even their patients). We had experienced first-hand (and now have recording) of the front desk receptionist's lying and unprofessionalism. I called for our records to be emailed, having had no communication prior to her, and after just telling her my last name - she jumped to offering to close our account, I declined, but she said she would be anyway. I'd chalk this up to someone just having a bad day, but I've had nothing but attitude and snide remarks from this front desk worker in the past. After having just paid hundreds of dollars for our dogs annual care, we will have no choice but to now dispute the credit card charges - now with the proof of the receptionist closing our account after I told her there's no need to do so. We asked to speak to the Owner, but the staff was not willing to connect us or give us even a name/phone number. Hoping to hear back from the Owner to advise/resolve our issues directly, prior to filing a formal complaint with both the BBB and the Colorado SVBM, and disputing the credit card charges of our last visit due to your staff closing our account without our consent (I have the video of this conversation to provide). This used to be a great place of care. It's unfortunate to see what some bad staff can turn it into, as I'll be sharing this experience, and recording, with the Conifer/Pine/Bailey community and local news outlets if it further goes unresolved. read more

I have to thank Crow Hill for being there for me and my 2 dogs. My German Shepherd seems to be one of those guys that always has issues. Dr. Rice has been the best I have ever worked with . From her care , concern to not Over Diagnosis. One thing that separates Crow Hill and Dr. Rice is they listen. They want your input since you are with your pup 24/7. To me this separates them from other vets that bring to in to tell you what's up then just get you out of office. This is from a guy that has taken his pets to approximately 7 vets over the years. I truly recommend there services. I also appreciate there follow up calls. I'm still trying to explain to my personal physician how amazing it is to have a vet follow up let alone Remind me of when a visit is necessary. If you want a veterinarian that cares. They won't see your dog in an emergency if it is anywhere near closing. Our dog was having seizures and they turned us away. After an hour, we found an emergency vet who could euthanize her. We had brought her in just ten days before and they only prescribed more meds. A competent vet would have helped us make a better decision to let her go then. Don't waste your time or money. We took our dog Molly here to give a second opinion after all the struggles she had experienced with weight loss. Dr. Shelia did blood work, ultrasound and in house digital radiology. It was nice they could offer these services in their office. My previous vet didn't have all theses screening services available in house or ultrasound capabilities which made the cost substaintially more to have a machine with professional brought up from Denver. After a thorough review, she determined that Molly had build up in her gallbladder and was on a too much thyroid medication as prescribed by the other vet. Since we've adjusted the medication, Molly has gained a whole pound and is much more active. The staff is always friendly. It's nice that they offer a service to have your animal's medication shipped to your door. It makes it convenient to get their meds without having to pick them up. Dr. Shelia even got us in same day when Molly broke her toenail. The office is clean and comfortable not some tiled cold hard sterile environment. I think that this type of atmosphere puts the animals at ease because of it's simarilty to home. We liked Dr. Shelia and her staff so well that we recently started taking our 16 year old cat here. It's great to have this type of expertise and service in our community. read more

They've provided up with puppy care, shots, spay & neutering as well as special care (one puppy liked to eat rocks and another got an infection). My husband and I recently purchased a home in Bailey and were in need of a vet. Crow Hill was super close and seemed pretty new. When our 9.5 year old King Charles Spaniel had a loose tooth we decided to take her in to get checked out. From the moment we walked in we felt we were in good hands. They spent an hour with us explaining how our dog had to have surgery due to periodontal diseases aka gingivitis. As one can imagine, putting your dog under anesthesia is scary. You hear horror stories of dogs being put under and never waking back up. However, we felt we were in good hands since the doctor spent such a long time with us answering our questions and putting us at ease. They were able to schedule us to have the surgery the following morning. We dropped her off at 9am and received a call around 12 to keep us in the loop, telling us how many teeth she had to have pulled (16!!) and how she was doing under anesthesia. They called again and told us she would be ready to be picked up by 4:30pm. When we picked her up, the doctor spent time showing us X-rays and really letting us see how badly her teeth/bones were. She explained how often to give the medications and also long term care for our dog. We couldn't have been more pleased with our first experience at Crow Hill Pet Hospital and definitely will be bringing our other dog and cat in to see them too. By all means avoid this clinic. The front desk last was very condescending and rude. The nurse avoided was very unprofessional and didn't seem to confident with animals. He avoided taking the routine exam and seemed very scared of cats. My cat is fairly docile so that was a major red flag. My cat was given a shot and the nurse did the injection incorrectly and caused an infection and abscess. 1) from not wearing gloves. 2) from setting the needle down on an unsanitary surface 3) injecting into the wrong place. If my normal clinic was open I would've taken my cat there, I am so very disappointed in this clinic. If you can avoid going here I highly recommend it. read more

Do not trust them! They let my mother's dog pass away tonight. They could have saved her. Long story short. My moms dog was having seizures after being seen there and she called them to tell them she was on her way. 20 minutes before they close! And they told her to drive to englewood over an hour away. Her beloved dog died in her arms on the way down the mountain. This should not of happened! Please take your loved ones anywhere but here. To add: our dog passed away from the medication given at the office. Not from mouse poison. If the office cared about their patients they would call and check on them. The response from the owner is FALSE. Yes our dog got a hold of mouse poison but it was a very small piece it was 25 percent of a 1 oz cube and my mother immediately caught her in the act and gave peroxide treatment right away to induce vomiting. The dog vomited every amount up. She then called the vet to make sure she did everything right and asked if she should come in. Office said yes bring her in. Then they gave her charcoal treatment and vitamin k. The male vet tech told my mother you did everything right and the best thing is the dog vomited everything up. It takes 3 days for a mouse to die from the poison. It can take up to 3 weeks for a dog to even show signs. Within an hour of picking up our dog she started showing signs and my mom wanted to bring her back in and they turned her down. She passed away due to to much vitamin k or she was allergic. Vitamin k treatment should be dosed 1-3 mg for every 3 pounds of the dog. Our dog was 9.1 lbs at the office. On the conservative side she should have been given 3mg or a maximum of 9mg. Crow hill vet could have helped and refused. They could have tried to stop the reaction or help calm the seizures. Instead they find out our family pet passed away by looking at their reviews and not contacting the patients owners. Not once did they check to see if we made it over an hour away to the emergency clinic or even see how she was doing. Please go to someone who will care about your loved ones. I do not like to leave bad reviews or trying to be mean I just want the facts to be stated. We live 5 minutes from the vet office and I don't want someone else to go through what we have been through. My mother is completely heartbroken and depressed. read more
