This was one of my favorite student restaurants in Paris, but as it was with all of them, you have great days and bad days.
It was usually pretty safe and not as crowded as other bigger restaurants. This one is small, just the ground floor, but it's very organized and there's an outside area to enjoy having your meal there when the weather is nice.
I liked the quality of the menu, there were always good options. You could have pizza or burgers, or have a taste of French cuisine with classics like lentils, salmon, roasted chicken, sometimes there was also pasta or risotto. The meat is quite rare so I don't recommend it if you like it more to medium or well done since it'll never be like that.
The best part of Mazet for me was that it was right on my street and the great selection of desserts! There's always fruit and yogurt, but also great examples of French patisserie such as tarte tatin and tarte citron that were always delicious and my favorite the chocolate mousse! It seems every single French can make a great chocolate mousse! And all for a very cheap price of less than 4 euros! read more
