When I reminded them that I had stated not to proceed with any treatment that wasn't fully covered, staff member Liliana said that I hadn't said anything that day and accused me of "playing a blame game." I don't appreciate being spoken to this way. I submitted a complaint and the reply from the Accounts Receivable Coordinator conveniently ignored that I had stated not to proceed with any treatment that wasn't fully covered, didn't even mention how I had been treated the previous day, and offered to submit a predetermination before moving forward in the future. There was no comment at all about why a predetermination hadn't been done the day before when I had stated nothing was to be done that wasn't fully covered- the email was focused on "clarifying how your coverage works" and absolutely ignored addressing what had already happened. Update: The Accounts Receivable Coordinator has now replied and stated they will be endeavoring to blameshift the situation ("we will be speaking with our administrative team as well to hear their account of the interaction and how they felt they were treated"). I told them since that was what they wanted to do instead of adequately address the matter, it was fortunate I had a witness with me that day and the matter could now be addressed through the courts.

Takes time, takes care, great chair side manner and genuinely loves his job. I've almost fell asleep at the chair. I've been there three times. I'm a coating inspector by profession and while at bare minimum - fillings are like a coating. He takes time to prepare the tooth to ensure the "coating" sticks which is most important to ensure long lasting integrity. Aside from that, has great knowledge of the mouth. My freezing was starting to come out (inflamed tooth) he knew exactly what to not touch and still gave a perfect filling with limited pain. Literally took hours out of his day to ensure he did a proper, above bar job. COVID-19: office is very clean and professional. Top notch protocols. PS. Staff and prices are perfect. I randomly came across this place because I drink at Chillabongs down the row and couldn't think of a better clinic honestly, I also am mostly suspicius of dentists because time says 80% are horrible from my experience, however, Dr. Moore is highly recommended from an experienced row of Swiss cheese chiclets. When I first called 52nd Street Dental Clinic and relayed our story they promised a good experience for my kids. When we arrived to our first appointment, we were greeted by name and were introduced to everyone there. Everyone was so kind. Once my kids were in the chair, the dentist explained everything he was going to do, before he did it. He showed them all the tools, how they worked and told them what they did. The dentist asked my children if it was okay before performing any procedures. He not only put them at ease but made them feel like they were in charge of the appointment. My children left their seats smiling rather than crying for the first time in years. Furthermore, when I got to the front desk, they presented us with a gift of an electrical toothbrush! As far as billing goes, they direct bill your insurance company before sending you an invoice. This clinic gets both my vote and my business!

The staff at this dental office always goes above and beyond to make sure that I get appointments at times that work for my schedule, they give their office a cozy feel, the receptionists are nice to talk to and don't act like they're too busy to chit chat... and I really do trust Dr. Caroline! She is personable and not judgmental when I say I've forgotten to floss.. like other dentists who make you feel bad about it! Citing a regulatory body to pressure patients into giving a photo without true consent is a major red flag. ​Unqualified Staff: My mother was taken in for a cleaning, only for the staff member to admit she was a dental assistant, not a hygienist, and was not trained for the procedure. This is a significant safety and regulatory concern. ​Privacy Breaches: When we decided to leave due to these issues, the front desk person was rolling her eyes and openly discussing our departure with another customer in the waiting room. He talked me through a plan and process that I agreed with, and he wrote me a prescription for antibiotics to get rid of the pain. The plan was to clear out my top teeth, which I'd have to go to Edmonton for, and to see a denture place for replacements. Front desk assured me (I asked several times if I needed to do anything) that they would take care of everything and that the places would call me. Five days go by. No call, no nothing. The pain is unbearable so I've filled the prescription in the meantime. I phone concept to see what's going on. They assure me that I will be phoned and that they don't know why I haven't been. The pain is still unbearable and I tell them this. Another day goes by. I phone again, same thing this time - I tell them I'm in unbearable pain and I haven't heard from anyone. Again they tell me that it's all fine and the place will phone me. Another day goes by. I phone again. Whomever answers the phone is now exasperated by my daily phone calls because I'M IN PAIN. They offer NO solutions, no reasoning for the lack of contact. I'm not exactly happy with this. My wife offers to take me to her dentist, Image dental. I go in there and they tell me I need 100k worth of work. They won't advocate to just get rid of the last six teeth I have on my upper half. I tell them I don't want to save them, I want them gone, and I leave. Given my experience with concept at this point, when someone on this very page asks for a dentist to recommend, I tell them to stay the hell away from concept. Fast forward to today, the pain has become unbearable again because another tooth has become infected. I phone concept because I was under the impression that they still had a plan and such for me. Front desk has the manager call me back, who, despite my saying that I'm in unbearable pain, says that because I went to Image when they refused to help me, that I am no longer with concept dental. She also stated that because I said what I said on Facebook (no bad reviews left, nothing other than replying to a rant on this group page) that they don't want anything to do with me. How absolutely inhumane and unprofessional can you possibly be? You ignored my unbearable pain for a week and forced me to go somewhere else and I'm supposed to be happy about that? I'm supposed to recommend you to others? DO NOT GO TO CONCEPT DENTAL.
