Not only is Collin incredibly helpful as a counselor in all…read moreforms of family and personal counseling but he is a great professional adviser and life coach. He helped me with job and life transitions and gave me the personal tools to make these transitions easier. I would not be at the successful place that I am without his help and guidance in my past. He gave me great insight to helping deal with issues I honestly was not recognizing in my personal life. As someone who had never seen a counselor I was timid and skeptical about counseling, and he made me realize what a positive life changing experience it can be with his comfortable demeanor and approach. He will not sugar coat but will kindly guide and help find truth and reality through self reflection. I would highly recommend checking him out if you are going through similar issues -- I'm glad I did.

I participated in what I consider regular therapy or talk therapy for about 1.5 years before…read morelearning and exploring Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I felt that I needed to change up the style of therapy because I felt stuck. I researched a therapist near me, and Dr. Norwood was one of a few that offered it. His sessions are through Zoom and about 45-60 minutes long depending on what I needed that day. I did about 8 sessions total. The first session was a consultation and what struck me the most about it was that Dr. Norwood asked me if I felt comfortable and safe with him, of which no therapist had asked me before. It felt that he genuinely cared about my well-being. Dr. Norwood is extremely patient, his voice is calming, and he is very consistent. He would always allow the opportunity to ask questions to help understand the whole process. In this type of therapy, I knew I needed to have an open mind and trust the process for it to make a true impact. For me, it would take a few days after a session to realize how much had changed mentally and emotionally for me. Reflecting back on where I started, I realize how successful ART has been, and Dr. Norwood's practice is a testament to that.

Unfortunately many have suffered life-changing traumatic stress which continues to affect their ability to live, love and laugh. Fortunately I can help most people overcome the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in just one session for each traumatic event using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I approach counseling as a creative process used to access your innate wisdom which may be buried or forgotten at the moment. Only you know the path that is best for you.
