Up three flight of stairs to a beautifully appointed studio I was met by my massage therapist Kate. She knew I was a newbie and took her time explaining everything to me. Well I'm now sold on doing this a lot more than once every several decades. Kate was awesome. She discovered the knots I didn't even know I had. After the session she explained to me what exercises I could do to relieve my muscle tightness. I highly recommend Kate and this studio. read more

My first experience with The Wellness Collective was years ago when they set up a table at the winter farmers market in Burlington. They gave out free massage and acupuncture and met every visitor with both kindness and attentiveness. While working on the development committee for a local non-profit I came up with the idea to involve them in an event and they volunteered their time and services again with compassion and generosity making the event a success. What is most outstanding about this group is the fact that they sincerely care for others, are passionate about what they do, and are truly committed to making the world better by bringing wellness to the people of our community. I've had two sessions with Jared Green. Jared listened about the neck and back issues I've been having, pretty immediately pinpointed the cause, and proceeded to start to fix them! I am in less pain than I have been for years. Jared was professional, knowledgeable, and created a very safe environment. His explanations of how the different muscle groups were working together (or not) really helped me understand his process - and revealed an incredible depth of knowledge. I made an appointment by wellness collective website for a therapeutic Massage and was appointed to Misty, who I never saw before, so I showed up to my appointment 10 mins early knowing I would have to fill out paperwork as I was a new client . I was greeted by a busy but friendly young lady. She informed me Misty wasn't there yet. I said well maybe while I wait I could fill out the paperwork,. she couldn't find any that Misty might have left behind for new clients. I was informed I could sit on the couch, help myself to tea, water while I waited. While I waited I found it wasn't a situation were I could relax unwind before my 90 min massage, because the young woman walked back and forth, rattled dishes, cleaning up before she was suppose to would leave.. Misty showed up 20 mins late, which made my appointments I had lined up afterwards I would have to cancel once my service was done. Misty never asked if by her being late it would mess up my day? I filled out the paper work about areas that had really sore areas including I can't move my neck, deep tissue attention , therapeutic massage? Misty did not connect at all to my service on any level review the situation as a seasoned professional would be able to, I felt the service was performed by someone fresh out of massage school. I had to pay for the full 90 mins and left still sore, tight and days later still had a stiff shoulder neck pain. I made an appointment with another massage therapist in Burlington and got a deep tissue massage that finally helped my pain. A pretty place doesn't mean the people within it will connect and provide customer service thats appropriate to a meditative, wellness space. read more

I have had acupuncture on and off for years to treat stress, pain and anxiety, but nothing compares to the treatment I received from Montana Burns at the Wellness Collective. Her bedside manner is incredible. She made me feel very comfortable and it was immediately obvious that she truly cared about treating me as a whole instead of focusing on individual symptoms. She asked thoughtful questions and came up with a treatment plan tailored to my needs. Definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach! She explained what she was saying and made the treatment very accessible, empowering me to take part in my own care. I would recommend Montana to absolutely anyone - acupuncture devotee to complete newbie. The Wellness Center itself is a gorgeous space in the Maltex building on Pine St. The treatment rooms are beautiful and relaxing with exposed brick and natural sunlight. The massages here are absolutely amazing. The location is beautiful with lots of natural lighting and exposed brick. While I am sure everyone there is truly gifted, I only saw one massage therapist during my time. Misty is wonderful--she really listens to what you need and helps you to accomplish your individual goals during each session. I've already raved about how much I adore Jamie Kearney for his craniosacral goodness, however, the yoga here is fabulous as well. I've taken Sarah's heated vinyasa flow a few times and every time it's been fabulous. It's a good workout in a beautiful facility for reasonable prices. Everyone I've ever dealt with at the front has been personable and warm. It's one of my favorite finds since coming here. read more
