Service was excellent. Food was great. Nice clean local bar. It was refreshing to find a place that offered craft beers.

I can't believe I've never reviewed this spot after all our years of going here! Slabtown is an…read moreabsolute 'must' for any burger lovers visiting TC; especially in the summertime when you can sit outside on their porch or surrounding patio. It's an old house that has been transformed into a burger destination. The inside is cramped, especially in the order area when they're busy, and indoor seating is tough to come by at peak times. The service has never been anything short of excellent on our visits. The staff is welcoming, helpful, patient, and friendly. Service is quick, even when they're slammed. Phenomenal burgers, O-rings, tots, and sweet potato fries. The Northwood's DRAFT (not fountain) root beer is a perfect pairing with their burgers. Slabtown's menu of specialty burgers is enormous and the BYO options include different protein choices and excellent GF buns. I've tried many of their burgers, but have to say that the Slabby Patty on a pretzel bun and the Pungi's Pepper Patty really stood out as a couple of my favorites. For a really sinful (and unhealthy) treat, ask for the gravy tots. Oh brother...insanely good but definitely a guilty pleasure. We've sent tons of our friends and family here, and I can tell you that every one of them has thanked us for the recommendation and raved about their burgers. So what are you waiting for? Get yourself to Slabtown!

The pork melts in your mouth (so tender!) and is seasoned to perfection! Our lunch was extraordinary! It was our first visit and it will NOT be the last. I had the Big Bacon Raclette burger and it was sublime. The accompanying hush puppies were delicious as well. Our visit was a delightful experience as the service was also top notch. Wish I had taken some pictures, but trust me!

This is the type of place were you order and pay at the counter and they give you a number and bring the food out to you. Think Culvers if you have been there. I ordered the Cherry Bomb Burger ($17). This is a 1/2 lb cherry burger with bacon, cherry jam, raclette cheese, and aioli. This was an excellent burger. The cherry flavor is not a. overwhelming cherry flavor, more of a side note. You can still taste the quality meat that was cooked perfectly. I upgraded ($5) to the Onion Ring combo. The onions were large and thick with a nice coating on them. Nice and crunchy and very tasty. The service was a mixed bag. The 1st interaction was okay. A little lackluster in the energy. I forgot my coat and I came back n to grab it. It was set by the counter waiting for me. Since I was there I was going to order a shake. However the attendant was too busy having a conversation in the back to serve a customer. Overall a solid 4 star review. The food is probably 5 star, but the service brings it down to a 4. Would I return. Yes, the food is definitely worth a visit.

We ordered multiple burgers (olive burgers & bacon cheeseburger) plus sides (tots & rings) to go, the roads were bad and the rest of our family begged for carryout. That's fine - we each had a Bloody Mary while we waited! Delish. Jessica (general manager) who took our order and made our drinks, was great. She was funny and helpful - timed everything well and made sure we had what we needed. The ambiance is warm and woodsy. New discovery: the restaurant is open for breakfast! I look forward to trying their breakfast on a future visit!

This visit was interesting because the place smelled like overcooked onions, and the pancake wasn't very cooked. The food was served greasy, and had little-to-no seasoning. I didn't complain, as the server was clearly not in the mood to be bothered by customers. We had to ask for silverware, butter, and waited for more than 10 minutes for the check. There was only one other small table of 2 besides our table of 2. She and the other waitress were too busy on her phone to pay attention. The host ended up getting her to give us a check. Maybe it is a good place for dinner or beers. I won't go for breakfast again.
