I have to say that the new ownership is a huge improvement! the training is more informative and useful. I know most people who search for these kinds of services want the quick write off, I have really found the new style training more engaging. It has been about three months since I've acquired my guard card. With some time to reflect, about my experiences regarding my training and how I've put what I've been taught to use on the job. So far I'm two months strong into my security role, and I feel extremely confident in my abilities to conduct my duties as dictated by my employer. I owe it all to this establishment, Brendan is an incredible instructor that managed to suppress my worries about starting security work, while also giving clear guidance, and instruction on all aspects of security. I even appreciate the fact that, even after taking the exam he outlines what is to be expected following my application being submitted, along with career advice on what to expect when starting out in this field. The finger printing process was seamless, I'm blanking on the name, it was either Cynthia, or Cindy (Sorry!) that then assisted me in setting up my BreEZe account. I can fully say that, what I paid for was well worth. The training that was provided was of a quality I did not expect. I have full intention on acquiring my additional 32 hours of training through this organization, as their services go far beyond than just the initial 8 hours. This is a very great training security school. The employees here are straight up with the business of your need to achieve success in getting your permits of the security officer status. There are steps that you must take and it's simple that all you need is to listen and take your time with patience. I recommend getting the whole package deal. It includes all the firearms calibers. The main one is your guard card. That card is like a main master key as it will open up the doors to all security companies to apply. The firearms permit to get higher pay if that company has accounts that handle firearms posts. You will win more dollars compared to just being unarmed. The next is the CPR permit to help you help someone in need to help them before the emergency people arrive at the scene. Next is the pepper spray permit as that helps you to protect yourself or other people from a wild animal or person who wants to attack. You will also have your permit that shows you completed the 40 hours in which case is the written report and all modules. The only permits here that isn't available is the baton. Some companies want you to have this permit and some don't, but it's up to you if you're looking for one. These employees are extremely helpful and excellent in helping you getting trained in each step of each process. One will give you very much details in which you should take notes. He's a tough strong instructor and he's awesome how he breaks the information at the start before a class begins as he will take you to a room and ask a few simple questions to see if you meet the requirements for having the opportunity to becoming a future security officer. He will tell you straight up and let you know that a security officer is not like a police officer. Even if you had past experience in law enforcement, he will tell you to forget all about it as those laws, regulations and so on are on a different level. Next you will do a background check and send money to the state. After that you will return in a few Weeks and do a firearms test. There's another session on the firearms after doing the 40 hours course. Trust me, you might spend a bit of money to getting all of the permits, but these people and company do their job in getting you all of the permits you need. They will guarantee that you get them. Please note that permits do take time to receive them in the mail. Plus this location you must pay cash only. I came back to them after a little over ten years as I had a change in my history of life, but I should had just renewed it to keep them permits active instead. There location is nearby the metro link in case you don't want to drive and a bit away from the regular metro gold line. Driving might be your best method in case you want to arrive early. P.s. the firearms range is located on a different city and you need to arrive early in the morning as your class will have like a vip treatment and it's on a weekend. read more

Went to do my firearm test, they give you goodtraining nd explain everytbing with time and patience, very organized, did my written, they helped me pass, about two weeks after did my shooting range test, passed, first try, send out papers , by mail waited 4 to 5months, got a letter bsis schedule my pyschological test payed $60 passed i finally got my permit thancks to you guys. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. DO NOT GO HERE. I went to get my guard card..I took a couple of the "classes"...all we did us watch some bull$hit videos. He didn't teach anything. It's obvious they just take your money and give you zero results. I stopped going after a couple of classes. I put down $100 out of the $450 they charge and they took FOREVER to get it back to me. They would never call back after weeks of leading me on. EVERYTIME I called back about my refund its like they forgot abut me the moment I hung up. It took 2 months to finally get the check back from them. They are a horrible business. I've been told by other security companies that there are a lot of "schools" like this that just take your money and screw you over and need to be shut down. Crossroads security is a great guard school, the staff is excellent and the owner Ralph will work with your schedule, they only ask for half the money when you sign up and the other half at the end of the program, I'm sure if you need time to get the money, Ralph work with you. Also they include all the modules, which most places do not. When you come in to get information, one of the first questions will be, DO YOU HAVE ANY FELONIES OR MISDEMEANORS and WILL YOU BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST? Be honest, don't waste your time nor there's. Adrien works the front, he will check you in, call and or text you to remind you about your next class date and etc that you need assistance on. Cortez, teaches the classes he's very informative and straight forward. If you're a woman and you feel more comfortable talking to a woman,Celina is there and she's great as well. Also; please keep in mind, they will assist (keyword ASSIST) with job placement. You have to do your part too, please do not think,"I finished the class, now they have to get me a job" life doesn't work like that if it did, the world will be a batter place, nothing is guaranteed. Do what you need to do to become successful human being. Do not waste your time nor there's then get mad at them because either you left information out, lied about drugs in your system or something that is in your record. This place was awesome. Before going I read a bunch of negative reviews calling this place a scam and other negative stuff, so I went in being super cautious. However, to my surprise the staff was really nice and I started their courses that same day. Cortez was an awesome instructor, Ralph was a dope dude all around, and Celina was really nice and she helped me out with all the paperwork. I was surprised to get a job right away, I thought it'd be difficult for me since I have a lot of visible tattoos, but they hooked it up! You do have to pay just like anywhere where you try to get certificates to work, but their prices and packages they include are actually cheaper than other security instruction facilities. So I would suggest definitely getting the all inclusive package, you'll make that up on your first paycheck either way. After you're done with the course and your live scan comes back good, they hook you up with a job interview. DRESS FORMAL WHEN YOU HAVE THE INTERVIEW! All in all, from the first day I started their courses, it took me about 3 weeks (live scan took about a week) for me to start my first day at a new job. Can't say enough good things about this place, I've already reccomended it to 2 of my friends that were looking to getting into security. read more

I tried to apply with crossroad's. I told them I already had a Guard Card with 40 hours and they kept asking me I need this and to pay this and they'll have me working. They went ahead and put me through an interview only telling me things that I already had. I told them I'll come back then one dude followed me outside telling me your already there your so close we just need $100 and we'll have you starting. I told them TBH I don't have money, I thought if I applied with you guys you would help me find work. Homie just told me aw okay and let me go. IDK but hella Suuus?!? BEWARE!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!! This place is a scam. You only have to pay one time for everything AS THEY SAY but every week that goes by you leave with $100 less. They say you only have to pay like $350 to get your three little certificates, such as guard card, CPR and pepper spray plus getting your firearms is in included. So I paid it. Then I had to pay for my actual guard card and finger prints which they told me was included. Which was another $150. Then two weeks later I had to pay another $120 for my calibers for the firearms. But really you're basically paying to go to the shooting range. THEN I get a letter in the mail saying I had to pay ANOTHER $150 to actually get my firearms but they never said I had to Bc it was ALL AGAIN INCLUDED but I didn't end up paying that Bc they just want more and more money. So I spent easily $600 which was so fucking stupid Bc I was DESPERATE FOR A JOB. And the job they send you to is in Compton. When I was there people told me their cars were broken into Bc you can't park INSIDE only the managers can and you have to park on the street. & if the managers noticed you parked inside they'd make you move your car. And there is a little parking structure but it only holds like 15 cars. When you're getting trained they tell you you'll be getting paid like $15/$16 an hour but lies lies lies. I got paid $13 an hour. They send everyone to the same place I. Compton. NOT to mention my first day on the job I had NO CLUE where to go. There was NO number I could call whatsoever. I was driving like an idiot up and down the streets for 15 minutes Bc I saw NO CARS- I'd ask people where to go but they had no clue. Then COINCIDENTALLY I happened to park somewhere and saw a door so I knocked and the gate opened and the guy was confused as to why I was there and I explained to him it was my first day and he was extremely confused and said that happens A LOT TO NEW EMPLOYEES. So since it was Labor Day or idk what holiday it was NO ONE WAS THERE!! It was only TWO PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE BUILDING and I was one of them. The guy that was there told me what he was doing and he assumed I had to do that as well. Bc again there was NO ONE ELSE!! Terrible PLACE I quit my third day there. read more

If it's your first time in the security industry these guys are very efficient, know what they're doing and they also tell you how it is. Those "bad reviews" probably don't like the straightforward manner in which they do business. Everything is done by the books, you get receipts for everything. I received all of my permits in a matter of a few weeks, including my firearms, and they helped get me a contract with a company immediately. Remember, if you have something on your record and the DOJ declines you, don't blame Crossroads and say they took your money, blame yourself and your horrible decisions. I was very skeptical to use this company based on the poor Yelp reviews, so skeptical I waited a year to go in and speak with them further. I feel an obligation to post that these other Yelp reviews are wrong! YES ..... SOMEONE DID GET A CALIFORNIA GUARD CARD THROUGH THIS COMPANY! They were professional to deal with and did everything they promised. The courses went quickly and the processing with the State took about 2 weeks. They even contacted the State on my behalf to correct a clerical error in the application forms (made by me). If you're located in the SGV and looking to get your California guard card, this is the place to do it! All these bad reviews on here are hilarious to me. Just seems like people want it their way when that's not how it works, you to have time and patience to get where you want to be. I came to crossroads about a year ago I had let my guard card expired and couldn't renew it So I knew I had to do everything all over again when I came to crossroads I came in just looking for my guard card and they were able to offer me more than that. Because of them I now have my Guard Card, Fire Arm , CPR, Teargas, and Report Wringing permits along with my modules and I got it all for a an affordable price. I lost my job because of my expired guard card but that same day I got let go is the day I came in to crossroads and with in the month I had all my permits and along with 2 jobs one of the jobs is unarmed and the other job is armed and I'm making $18 an hr right now. Couldn't be happier in the way crossroads was able to help me out. In a way I'm glad that my guard card expire because I wouldn't be where I'm at right now if it wasn't for that so thank you crossroads I appreciate everything you've done for me. For all the people out there new to the security industry and want to get their guard card don't let these bad reviews scare you. Classes were great also and they work with your schedule if you already have a job or other obligations. I was placed on a job and hired the very next day after I completed all of my courses. Crossroad security preys on those in need of work then sells them a false hope by telling them that if they pay a high dollar amount they can recieve good quality training and start a valuble career. BEWARE ! DO NOT GO HERE! . They charge you 500$ for their crap training. All they do is make you watch a few videos and that is all. They do not follow BSIS training regulations. The firearms Permit is More of a Rip-off. They want to charge you per Cal. and only let you shoot one 9mm glock. If the BSIS finds out they will revoke your permit and you wasted all your money. Do not apply to this company. It is a huge rip off. As soon as I walked into the office they wanted me to sign papers and rushed me through "tests". They buttered me up saying that I scored better than some cops that had taken the tests. They even let me skip some questions. I started feeling uncomfortable about their testing methods but completed. They mentioned that I may not get much money but would get lots of hours. I didn't feel great about that, but I was desperate at the time. At the end I just got a bad feeling about the company and left. I just wanted to drop the whole thing. As soon as I got home I had a message on my phone saying, "This is_________ (some man's name) can (my name) or her lawyer please call us back." It was such a rip off. By then I knew why they were rushing me to sign the papers and quickly get me out. I was mad. They wanted me to pay an additional fee of $250.Then they said I could still get my license.
