I mostly used it for the group fitness classes, weight machines, and the indoor track. There are many spin classes offered at varying times and body blast was always a favorite of mine, alternating with others such as evening yoga. The track is nice and well-maintained. Again, sometimes gets crowded depending on the day/time. I loved that when you joined, there was a trainer that helped create a program for you based off your fitness goals and took some initial measurements. The trainers were friendly and willing to help with any questions you may have. I loved the additional amenities of a health club you don't get at your average strip mall gym - the hot tub, sauna, and pool are all great. Plenty of showers and the locker room is well kept. The cafe has some delicious food as well! Nice kids area for child care. Down side: you do have to reserve a spot in cycling classes 24 hours before (mostly for popular morning classes, evenings you were okay). Often times there were regulars that seemed to book up the class quickly (especially pending on the instructor) which made it hard to get in. There were a few members that acted a bit entitled in the classes as well - in terms of dictating the volume of the music because it was "too loud" or moving another member's towels saving their bike because he said it was "his seat." All in all, great gym. I appreciated the atmosphere and environment which varied from the meat-heads at your typical Xsport. If I hadn't moved away, I would still be a member.

It is still clean, but this gym is in a serious decline in need of some major repairs, including the roof, locker room carpets and pool humidity regulator. The maintenance staff is great, as is the front desk. What is lacking is a dynamic group fitness schedule. The club has very little to offer in the way of group fitness in the evenings. Classes are not innovative, nothing exciting, nothing that makes one want to work harder or better. Nothing ever really changes here, it is the status quo forever. Monthly dues are not cheap. If you are a retiree or stay at home mom, maybe you can take advantage of the daytime classes. If you work days and need night classes, and night meaning past 6pm, you are better off elsewhere.

The owner Steve is at the gym from 4:30 am til 5:30pm daily and goes out of his way to ensure each member is satisfied with his or her workout experience. They also offer a free 21-day trial to make sure you're not committing to gym you're not comfortable in. I'd highly recommend anyone starting a workout plan try Body Tech!

I recently started Get Fit Training (going for about a month) and can't say enough great things…read moreabout the gym. I use the personal training and Jay is great. He makes sure that you use proper form and get in a great work out. The prices are very reasonable and the space is always clean. I regularly see them wiping down the equipment. I personally haven't been to a class but from what I can tell it's a very close knit community as I see members having a conversation after they complete a class. The gym is also very professional, all sessions start on time and throughout the sessions the trainer makes sure that you're okay. Jonathan the owner makes it easy to sign up for sessions and is very welcoming. I would highly recommend this gym no matter where you are in your fitness journey.

I had also purchased two detox juice cleanses ($200) and 2 4-day order of overnight oats ($80) for grand total of $4,780. The prices have gone up for new customers since then. (30 sessions are now $1800) Something to keep in mind before signing. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance , they will take a session from you. So if you wake up extremely ill, and cancel 6 hours in advance of your session, they will still take the session regardless of how much money you have spent or loyalty that you have shown them. It's their "right" to do so, because it is their business and they can choose to have whatever policy they want... However, it is also the customers right to feel unappreciated and then leave the gym. Which is exactly what I did. Disappointing.

Team has always been my draw to any fitness program I have tried, and I have tried them all. I have belonged to the local gym, bootcamps, and aerobics programs (just to name a few) and none compare to CrossFit Beverly. CFB offers top notch coaching, a$$ kicking Workouts, and an awesome team atmosphere. The owner and head coach, John is awesome. He is encouraging, enthusiastic, energetic, and knows his stuff. John is passionate about CF and it shows. He will teach you proper form and correct you if you are doing a movement wrong so you will not get hurt. He will even do a WOD with you so you won't have to do it alone. He is a family man and encourages you to bring your kid(s) to the WODs (even if you have a babysitter). John brings his daughter who is sure to cheer for you on those tough Saturday morning WODs. I love how each WOD is posted online before the workout. As soon as my alarm rings, I check the WOD. I have never been so eager to hop out of bed for a workout. It is obvious that much thought went into programming because each WOD is always challenging and makes me push past my comfort zone. CFB has all fitness levels and each WOD can be modified. As if great coaching and challenging WODs weren't enough to get me hooked, what really sets CFB apart is the supportative community and team atmosphere. I was intimidated at first, but everyone was so welcoming. I have a special place in my heart for the 6:30am crew and couldn't get through the WODs without them. Everyone encourages and pushes each other to go harder, faster and heavier. The CFB athletes are working towards a better "me" both mentally and physically which creates a great camaraderie. Bottom line, CrossFit works. You will get in the best shape of your life and have a blast doing it. Thank you to John for bringing CrossFit to Beverly!

I purchased a personal training package in early February but due to weather, it was delayed. I had been in a car accident very end of January and by the time the weather cleared was having lots of pain and went to get checked out. Turns out I was badly injured and was ordered by the chiropractor not to be in the gym and would undergo treatment and therapy at least 18 sessions and I am still in enormous pain. I asked for a refund and Javid agreed but 6 weeks and 3 requests later, still no refund of my $337.50. Called an attorney and he told the attorney several sob stories but said since he's a man of his word he'd give my money which he has not. Two additional requests and a call from my attorney, still no refund. It is now mid-May and still doesn't have my money. Finally, I checked BBB which I should've done first and he's done this same thing before and took $550 from a woman. Not only is he a thief but it appears he's also taking advantage of women. He has even gone as far as threatening to contact an attorney yet states he is trying to rebuild his business due to covid and doesn't have my money as yet. I'm sure an attorney is going to cost him far more than my measly $337.50 he is verbally agreeing to return but have yet to deliver and we are basically at June.

I've been with Silencer Athletics for over three years. I started out with personal training…read moresessions with Paul and later transitioned to his group fitness classes. Having held multiple gym memberships through the years that I rarely used, I knew joining another regular gym (like LA Fitness) wouldn't work. With past gym memberships, I would typically waste time when I went to the gym, since I didn't really know what to do. Then eventually, I'd stop going and simply waste money as I was locked into a contract. This is the longest I have ever stayed with a gym. It works for me since there are usually structured classes at 6am and 5pm. There are also other time options depending on how much you pay. The group classes typically include an extensive warm up then resistance and/or weight lifting. Boxing and kettle bell classes are also available, as well as yoga. The monthly fee is $215, which is a bit pricey, but it is a small Black-owned business that has a very personal feel. Paul has an A+ character and the other members of the gym have become like extended family members. It is a good (but difficult!) workout and I've seen significant changes in my body composition. If the monthly fee fits in your budget and you live in relatively close proximity to the gym, it's definitely worth checking out.
