I've been coming to this gym for about 6 months and it's been great! I really like the tailored,…read moresmall group personal training classes because they are challenging and generate real results. Even though I like working out, when I do it alone I'm at risk of becoming a lazy gym robot who just repeats the exercises I like at a comfortable weight without really pushing myself. This, unfortunately, leads to diminishing returns over time. What I like about FitMethod 413 is that you can never become a lazy gym robot because the workouts change every day. You don't just get to pick the easy exercises you like, and the trainers encourage you to lift heavier weights (within reason). That is why I think it's worth it to pay for a membership to this gym, rather than just coasting by at some other gym, or going to a group fitness class that's so crowded you can cut corners because the trainer won't notice. Another thing I like about this gym is that a lot of the exercises are compound moves, so (for example) instead of just doing a squat or a bicep curl, you will do a squat with a bicep curl. You can feel that these are better exercises that give you more results for your time in the gym. And it's helpful to have a trainer on hand to assist with form. For someone that's trying to lose weight or new to working out, I think this would be a good gym because there is nutritional coaching in the unlimited membership, and that accountability of balancing your workout and your food intake is helpful. Also, everyone here is super approachable, knowledgeable, and encouraging.

In order to get the "full body" experience, FIT 4:13's method targets and focuses on different parts of the body- ie: Wednesday is Leg Day. The facility is really nice, they make great use of a smaller space for classes of 8 or less. No gimmicks or tricks here. I enjoy coming in, love the people (both the coaches & fellow classmates), and the support for a healthy lifestyle is incredibly helpful. I'm super awkward and not very athletic. They are constantly directing me which I desperately need and ask for. I also really love that I can use the MindBody app and register for classes easily. This is the best thing I've found in a long time :)

After calling, I got a free trial class and came in on a Thursday evening class at 5:30pm. I arrived a few minutes early with my friend and filled out the waiver form and took a look around. It's one large room with multiple stations, making a large circle. There are multiple screens at the front of the room that have a countdown timer as well as a sample instructor performing all of the workouts so we don't forget the correct form and pace. The trainer Sam began the class by explaining how we were going to do 3 sets of each workout for 35 seconds each, and then we will rotate to the next station once the 3rd set ends. You get a 20 second rest between each set. The class lasts 45 minutes with a few minutes of stretching at the end. There were about 15 people in this particular class. Overall, the class was difficult (I do not regularly workout since becoming a mom,) but the two instructors made it very clear that we are to push ourselves but to know our limits, drink water, and take breaks when we need to. They were very encouraging and made me feel very comfortable and accomplished! I will return! Thanks F45.

I took the class that afternoon. although I struggled mentally and physically I knew by signing up for the 6 week challenge that started that Monday I would have to hold myself accountable and so would they. Some of my close friends live in Brandon, so I convinced them to come with me as this locations offers a one day free trial for local residents, and this location appeared to have great reviews. We visited the gym on a Sunday morning, and both me and my friends were received with such hostility that I apologized for bringing them to that location afterwards. The gentleman at the main desk made comments such as : "Are you actually here for memberships or is this just another tire kicker for you?" And "I don't want to deal with this GymPass crap, just do the daily pass, it's faster". Once he saw my out of state ID, he stated "Oh, you're from Utah? You definitely won't be doing a membership then". Sir, of course I'm from out of State, my employer provides me with Gympass, if you're not familiar how the program works or if you're unhappy with it, you're more than welcome to cancel your enrollment. And if that's the reception you're providing for anyone enrolling under your 1-day pass, maybe it simply shouldn't exist. I'll point this out though, the facility itself is great, with clean machines and plenty of equipment.
